My newborn has really slept well in this bassinet. It feels sturdy and I love how easily it folds up and transports. I highly recommend purchasing a bassinet mattress for this product. The pad it comes with is definitely not thick enough. However, the oval foam bassinet mattress by "Play kids" fits perfect! I was so happy that the additional mattress was recommended because other wise I would not be so happy with this bassinet.

Perfect if you have cats
Perfect if you have cats! just got it today and the cover will be perfect for keeping my cats out of the baby sleeping area. My cats are big snugglers. The zip top cover will keep the baby safe while she sleeps and keep my cats from shedding all over her. The height goes to right about perfect bedside height, and it is very lightweight and easy to move around.

Totally medium cat safe, probably larger...
I have two cats who love my daughter, which is fine while we are all awake and I can make sure she isn't being smothered, but at bed time it is unsafe, so we bought this in order to keep the cats away while she sleeps. One of my cats has taken to sleeping on top of the cover. The first time I woke up and saw it I freaked out because I was worried it would bend it or collapse on top of my daughter, but after several nights of waking up to see it and once of watching my cat take a running jump onto it without it collapsing I stopped worrying about it. I have checked the structural integrity of it regularly since noticing the "Feline Olympic Long Jump" and haven't seen any issues. My only complaint would be that the zippers are hard to dig out from below the handles, but I installed a string that I can just pull up from the far side and it's much easier now. Baby is harder to access, but that is the whole point of getting one of these: to avoid easy access of pets, bugs, and family members. :)

I found sheets!
It's perfect! I know a lot of comments on previous reviews mentioned that the pad didn't come with sheets. Because my last baby died of SIDS while in a bassinet that has make shift sheets on it, tight fitting sheets were a must. Sheets for the Halo Bassinest work perfectly, they are tight fitting and they don't make the pad curl up. If you don't like the color choices for the sheets at baby r us, etsy.com has great choices.

A hidden gem! I love this bassinet!
Words cannot describe how much I love this travel bassinet, but I will try. My family recently relocated across the country, and all of our worldly possessions are stuck in a moving cube that got lost in the shuffle and that we won't see for a MONTH. Thankfully, I ordered this and had it sent to my mom's before we moved as a little sleeping nest for my daughter when she visits grandma. Now that we've had to use it for her temporary bed, I'm really tempted to make this semi-permanent until she outgrows it. Here's why: + Right out of the box it snapped together in 30 seconds without any extra tools, screws, etc. + It lies almost completely flat when folded, and folds down easily. + My daughter is 4 months, 15.5 lbs and 25 inches and she has PLENTY of room. + Light as a feather!! + The zippered hood gave us peace of mind around my mom's really lovable, curious cats at night. + The mesh sides are really breathable (our baby likes to mash her face against the side of her crib), but she can't get a hand stuck. + The pad that comes with it is actually really padded, but not dangerously so. I read the other reviews that said the pad was just a hard slab, but was pleasantly surprised. It's more padded than her pack n play "mattress" for sure. I just covered it with a crib sheet in the photos. I can't think of a single minus, seriously. She still sleeps in our room at night, and I think I'm going to use this as a bedside/arm's reach bassinet. It takes up MUCH less space than her pack n' play, and she falls asleep soundly and deeply in this. It is a good height and depth to be able to reach her without hurting your back, too.

Mom of 5 review
This is great! As an experienced mom of 5 and I wanted new baby in our room but a crib won't fit, I personally think bassinets are a waste of money but this was such an awesome find. Great price, wonderful see through mesh siding ...The suggestions for mattress and sheets really helped in the 'questions' section. Do not just go with Amazon recommendations. So light weight. Love it!

Great price, great value
Okay so don't look anywhere else for a bassinet, seriously. This thing DOES hold up to 25 pounds (picture provided) and is sooo sturdy. It took my husband 30 seconds to set it up and break it down. So durable and the mattress is a great thickness! The add on sheet was only 3$ and is so soft and you actually have a good amount of room to place baby in. Seriously get it.

If you have pets that love a cozy spot, you need this!
LOVE this! We have two cats and when looking around, this bassinet kept coming up with the net top to keep them out. I especially like keeping them out to avoid leaving their fur in there since they have no interest when the baby is in it. We feel safe letting the cats in our room still because of this very bed. The Halo mattress pad covers do fit, but I’ve started to use king size pillow cases which fit PERFECTLY over the pad and fold in the end. The first setup takes some effort, but it’s obviously because it’s tight to avoid collapse. And I’ve seen a review about the zipper being hard, it does loosen up just enough with use. This is one of the best purchases we have done for our first baby! Photo included of our curious cat trying to make the bed his own since the baby wasn’t around (they’re very indifferent of the baby). It shows just how strong the top really is!

This has great mileage
We used this until my son was about 9 months old and too big for it, and then I gave it to someone who needed a bassinet and she got just as much mileage out of it as well. My cats really made an effort to destroy this, but this little bassinet just keeps chugging along! The mesh sides are highly susceptible to cat claws, but that really only effects how it looks. This is a great buy for the price, and it's also very lightweight and was easy for us to carry up and downstairs, as needed.

Bought for my dog lifesaver
I bought this for my 20 yr old chihuahua because he has dementia and gets lost if he wakes up in middle of the night. This is perfect and i can keep it right beside me and not worry about him falling off the bed
