Works Just As Advertised

The pinpointer arrived a day early. The packing was surprisingly good and everything was there. The 'O' ring was already installed and the battery was wrapped individually. The battery compartment was easy to access as was the 9V battery easy to install. After reading the instructions I tried it out on several items in the kitchen. I had to be careful not to get my left hand close the to edge of the pinpointer as my wedding ring would set it off. The red, blue, green and white lights worked as advertised. I was like a kid with a new toy as I showed my wife what it was for and how it worked. (Quite well I might add). Looking forward to use this thing in the field. The pinpointer

convenient... handy... accurate

Great little wand for pinpointing small metal objects. I haven't had any problems with the wand. I like that when the object is located the light changes and instead of blinking becomes stationary and the humming sound becomes louder. The holster works great too. The wand fits quickly into the holster to free up my hands for digging out the objects.

Great Pin Pointer and Great Value and it is waterproof

Ordered a different Pin Pointer and when it arrived it was not waterproof I did not do my homework. Came back to Amazon and found this one and read the reviews and was happy with all of the positive reviews it had . The shipping was fast and the product packaged in a nice box and had the battery and holster inside and a real instruction booklet witch was nice, all of the others I have ordered or seen had a no box and no real instructions Did my first test in the soil and worked Great, The second test was in the salt water sand and worked great, A lot better than the last won I owned. Took it in to the surf about 2 to 3 foot deep in salt water worked better than I thought it would , Found a silver earring with in 3 minutes . Tested it in a 12 foot deep pool for over 2 hours and still no problems. It is waterproof and works great , I love that it does not have a speaker witch always alerted everyone around that I found something on the old one I had, The Led is bright enough to see on sunny days at the beach and the vibration is great under the water. I will be buying a second one as a backup and for my son to use so that he will leave mine alone, He love it more than the one he is using now, I hope this is helpful in your search for one, You will not regret buying one if you do a lot of water searches like us.

Works great, nice price

My son received a full sized metal detector for his birthday and said that he really wished he had a pinpointer to go with it so he could search like the guy on The Curse of Oak Island show. This pinpointer works great and has great customer service. The instructions were a little hard to understand but when I had a question about the detector going off when held horizontally, they responded quickly with an answer. You push the button once quickly and it kind of resets it. Had no problems after that. I like that it has a light on it too as we were in the back yard at dusk looking for treasures and it helped to see the ground.

Good pointer for the price

I purchased this specifically to use underwater, and haven't done that yet, so this review is for above ground use only. I'll update it when I do use it underwater. It is not as sensitive as more expensive similar looking pinpointers, but the difference isn't that much for the price point. The stated specs on sensitivity are about what you get, maybe a little better. I have not used it to the point that the battery has been used up, so can't comment on battery life. If you search for review videos, you should be able to find a discount code. I used OA5HGOW5 for 20% off, don't know how long it will last.
