To start, I usually carry a set of jumper cables in every vehicle I own. Let's just say now I can toss those dirty bulky things. I tried this power pack out in disbelief and was quickly shown that it works great. I usually always help out someone in need of a jump start, now I don't have to worry about pulling up in front of them for the cables to reach. Hop out, clamp the battery and start. I just leave the charging cable running out of the nice case it comes with and plug into my cars usb charging port so I'll be ready to go next time. A bonus when we go camping now I have a usb charger and even has a pretty bright flashlight built in. Very easy to use and well worth the cost. Thanks!

Solid Jump Kit For Your Car

I just picked this up to keep in my car next to my first aid and cold weather emergency kits and I'm very happy with it so far! I go camping a lot here in Colorado, and I really like multi-use items for camping as it cuts down on the clutter. This is both a jump starter and a powerbank, and I really like knowing I have an auxiliary power supply on hand just in case my car battery dies, or any part of my hiking kit needs to be charged (Headlamp, phone, GPS tracker, speakers, anything that can charge off USB) One thing I did not expect was the case. They barely show it in the product pictures, but it is surprisingly high quality and keeps everything contained/organized until I need it. It also fits perfectly under the passenger seat of my '17 Subaru Forester. I haven't tested the jump starter on my car yet (and hopefully I never have to :fingerscrossed:) but I did charge this bank fully and jump started two tractors and an ATV that have been sitting in my neighbors barn for a bit. I'm honestly quite surprised to see something so small jumpstart a car battery so easily.

my unit of choice, has several advantages over other units.

nice all inclusive hard case (not just a bag) that holds everything it comes with... Unlike my first unit (the orig halo-bolt) it has a very useful 12V DC output to power my tire air compressor/laptop via an included cig lighter cable.. Should be very handy in a power failure and/or to power USB devices on camping trips (or if stranded in a car). All cables u need come with it and fit in case. I have not needed it to jump start a car yet but it did power up when I tested it on a deep cycle battery, so it seems to work as advertised via its jump start cables. Pretty simple operation and the price and options are in line (or cheaper/better) than other 2nd generation units like this one. Assuming it starts a car I will be very happy with it. I am quite happy its light is located so it will aim in the direction of the jumper cables so you can see it to hook cables in the dark (not pointing the wrong way as in some other units). This unit charged in just a couple hours via an included power pack/cable. get one for peace of mind!!!!! (and yes the wife can figure out how to use it)

Works!!!!

My new car I bought off craigslist probably hasn't had the battery changed since 2010. In the aftermath of the "polar vortex" the only victim was my struggling car battery (RIP). I had tried to start it a few times, not sure if it was the battery or if it was because I stupidly left my car at a quarter tank. I live right next door to my job so I decided to wait for a couple days when it would get 50 degrees just in case that was it, since I don't have a garage and I didn't want to pay for a tow just to get my car to a garage to warm up. The day comes and when I turn the key... NOTHING. So I at least knew that it was the battery because it seemed like I sucked up whatever little juice the battery did have when I tried to start it the first time. I wanted to be a "strong independent woman" about it, and I've also always wanted one of these portable jump starters. It arrived in the two days as promised AND it was shipped via UPS so I didn't even have to wait around until 5pm for the postal worker to drop it off. Worked perfect first try, just had to hit the little boost button since my battery was completely dead. When down to Advanced Auto and they tested the battery, confirmed it was dead, and replaced it in five minutes. I will always keep this in my car. I'm not anywhere close to car savvy, but I was still able to take care of my own problem without being that sad but annoying person constantly asking people if they can jump my car when THEY CAN and not when I NEEDED it. If you're thinking about buying this, just do yourself a favor and get it. The extra features pay for it twice over as well. I've been in the predicament before where a car pooped on me and my phone was dead, at night, and the city I live in is a giant ghetto. Not fun for a young girl to walk around in trying to find a business that will even let me use a phone. With this, even if it's not your battery, you don't have to get out of your car to call for help. Every power bank I've had either crapped out on me, or it wouldn't even charge my phone fast enough so I could turn it on right away. The flashlight is bright enough to either signal help or to help you see what you're doing at night, whether it's jumping the battery or checking your oil level. Moral of the story: BUY THIS!!!

It truly works

I received my starter 3 lines charged. The next day I was able to start my PTCruiser which has sat for weeks with no charge. Needless to say I was impressed. My cruiser fired right up. Then 3 days later my Jeep Patriot died and I had my starter with me. So I popped the hood and preparing to jump my vehicle when a gentleman offered his help. Kindly Thanked him and replied I got it. He stood and watched. Jeep started and he said What is that? BASAF Jump starter; I purchased it on Amazon. Still on 3 lines charge. Only thing I wish it came with cable extension or recommended some. Cables are very very short.

Easily starts Diesel Generator

Purchased the BASAF JX12 to start a diesel generator with no battery attached; wanted a small unit that would be convenient for my wife to use. With the help of the BASAF Service Department, that promptly responded on a weekend, we sorted out how to use the "Boost" button, and the JX12 easily started the diesel multiple times. Perfect for our needs. The jumper cables could be a bit longer, but worked OK for us. Written operating instructions could be clearer, but this was easily offset by surprising prompt weekend response from the BASAF Service Team.

Is the most useful thing I got in years.

I bought this to have for my Mercedes Benz Diesel, the Battery pack comes in surprisedly beautiful carrying case and well made, the power pack also has a very durable plastic case if you drop it it won’t break, also is very easy to use and the carrying case does not take up a lot of space on my trunk, but the power pack I use it most of the time to charge my phone at work, so I keep it in my backpack all the time. Comes with multiple adapters so you can use it for other electronics. The built in flashlight is very bright, I use it every day when I walk the dog at nite. Is the most useful thing I got in years.

Did a great job in solving my problems

I have a pretty old Audi that runs into dead battery issue quite often recently. What's worse, my AAA membership was expired :( By considering a bit I decided to not renew the membership but bough a jumper instead. I compared several brands and read the reviews carefully...I picked up this one since it is the cheapest with 1200A capacity yet still has decent reviews. By following video instructions on YouTube, I found it's quite easy to use such jumper...it took me less than 3 minutes to figure out things. It has worked pretty well and boosted the battery like a new. In addition to the basic function, this unit also has a very durable case and comes with multiple adapters so you can use it for other electronics. Today, I just used this one to charge my phone in library and it did a great job. Just a reminder that after each use, you might want to plug it into your 12V cigarette light to charge it (my car has an extra one in the rear trunk), which makes it always ready for the next usage.

I ordered this jump starter because it met my specifications and had favorable reviews. I have two daughters that travel to and from college and I wanted to make sure they have a quality jump starter in the event that their car batteries drain down and no one is around to give them a jump start. When the jump starter first arrived, it had only one bar (indicating that it was low on charge) so I attempted to charge it. Unfortunately, like a several other reviews have indicated, the new jump starter would not accept a charge and needed to be replaced. The customer service team sent a new jump starter out immediately and the new one worked perfectly. How do I know? I have a 2005 Saab 9-3 Convertible that stays garaged most of the time. The battery is due for replacement and sometimes it will require a jump after sitting too long without use. After trying to turn over the engine several times, it was clear the battery was drained and needed a charge or jump, so I hooked up my new jump starter and the engine turned over and started immediately. I was so happy to see that the product worked as advertised that (several days later) I brought my daughter into the garage and taught her how to use the jump starter. I started by (purposely) letting the battery drain down by leaving the lights on, then hooked up the jump starter again This time, the jump starter would not crank the engine (because I believe the battery charge was too low), but I activated the "BOOST" feature on the jump starter and it worked perfectly. I tried this several more times in every possible state of charge and the jump starter worked great. I have to say...I can't remember the last time ANY customer service department from ANY business acted as professionally and courteous as these folks. They followed up to make sure I receive the new jump starter, again to make sure it worked and then again to make sure I was completely happy. It's so refreshing to see that some companies still stand behind their products and actually care about their customer's satisfaction. I will definitely purchase another one and quite honestly, anything else that this company sells!
