Perfect for the occasional afternoon cup of coffee
The members of my family are serious coffee addicts, my husband especially. We generally drink a full 12-cup pot of coffee every morning, but even then that's not always enough... sometimes one of us will want another cup of coffee in the afternoon. The Keurig K-Mini single-serve brewer is perfect for those occasions, as it saves the time and hassle involved in brewing even a small pot of coffee. Making a cup of coffee is super easy: Fill the removable water reservoir with water; press the power button; insert a K-pod; press the "strong" button if you want the coffee to be strong (we do; did I mention we were serious coffee addicts?); place your coffee mug under the spout; and then press the brew button. After about two minutes of lights going on and off and various (faint) noises, you'll have a great tasting cup of coffee, without having to worry about measuring out the right amount of ground coffee. One of the features I find most appealing about the K-Mini is its compact size: A little over 12 inches tall (though make sure you allow clearance for opening the lid to the water reservoir) and only five inches wide. This makes it perfect for settings where you space is at a premium--a dorm room, say, or office cubicle. The K-Mini comes with a storage compartment that holds up to 9 K-pods and which fits nicely in the space where you place your coffee cup when not in use, again for space-saving storage. The power cord also can be shoved back into a storage space in the back of the unit, so you only need to pull out the exact length you need to reach the outlet. The water reservoir is removable (which makes it a lot easier to fill) and holds between 6 and 12 ounces. You can also lift up the base so as to fit a travel mug in. The K-mini uses standard K-cup pods, as well as the K-cup universal refillable coffee filter. (If you're going to use this machine on more than an occasional basis, I'd encourage you to get the refillable K-cup, as the disposable ones are a landfill nightmare.) After testing this machine out and comparing it to the Nespresso machine, which we also own, I'd have to say I prefer the Keurig. It's much smaller and more compact, and it has the huge advantage of being able to find a wide range of beverage pods just about everywhere (whereas the Nespresso pods are hard to find outside of ordering online). It's also infinitely better than the Starbucks Verismo unit we tried a few years back, which never did work reliably for us. Some reviewers criticize this machine because it is truly single serve; you have to refill the water dispenser for each cup of coffee you brew. I didn't find that problematic, again because our primary purpose for having the K-mini is for fixing the occasional cup of coffee in the afternoon. We wouldn't want one of the larger Keurig machines because the water would've been sitting there too long and we'd end up getting fresh water anyway. So, as long as you keep the intended purpose of this unit in mind--brewing a single cup of coffee at a time--I think you'll be delighted with it.

Love my K-mini
I am the only one in the household who drinks coffee and usually no more than one cup a day so this coffee maker looked perfect to me. I have a regular Keurug and a pod holder which take up way more than their share of real estate just for one coffee drinker. The sleek design is very attractive, everything in one compact unit. With the cord storage and pod holder it’s simple to take the coffee-maker with you if you’d like. I have the perfect little canvas drawstring bag which fits it They even included six sample pods. The one-cup reservoir is simple to fill with the cup you’re going to use so you know the exact amount of coffee you’re going to get. After I ran a couple of cups of water though, to clean the unit, I popped in a pod and got a perfect cup of coffee. This will also work with my little re-fillable pod. By the way don’t use distilled water. The K-mini costs about the same as the larger Keurig but I really can’t tell the difference except the reservoir. With the K-mini you always have fresh water. You only make one cup at a time but that’s what you do with the big one, too. Filling the reservoir each time is a great trade-off for the space saving. Nope, no cavil from me. Note 9/19: I don't want to mislead anyone so maybe I should clarify. The K-mini can be used with the Keurig "my K-cup reusable filter". You will have to remove the adapter on the bottom and it takes a bit of jiggling to seat the filter. When you have the filter in you can't use the pods. Also the "ekobrew" and iparts filters won't fit the K-mini. At least I couldn't get them to fit.

Works fine blindfolded
This one works fine. It is literally a one-button coffee maker that makes one mug of coffee, make it in about two minutes from cold (36 degree filtered refrigerator water), and makes it very hot (182 degrees in the cup)! Opening it to put in a k-cup turns it on and it turns itself off after a couple of minutes. Keurig coffee makers are usually ridiculously complicated; needing a touch screen display and/or six buttons to make coffee is absurd. Possibly anal. On this there is a big silver-dollar sized button on the lid; to make coffee you push it. That's all. Someone at Keurig's gonna get fired. Oh, it also makes decent coffee. Ours is a blind household and there are no stupid pointless features to remember. This one's a keeper.

Works perfect
I was a little worried the coffee would be less than ideal after reading some of the comments/reviews. It works great. Coffee is perfectly hot, quick and easy. My old mini busted and I couldn't find a replacement part for it so I decided to get a new one and wasn't disappointed.

What's Not To Like? Perfect for My Home Office
I absolutely love this mini Keurig. It's perfect for my home office. It's easy to set-up and use. It doesn't take up a lot of counter space so it's a good fit for home offices, dorms, and small apartments. I can quickly make a 6-12 oz cup of coffee. Best of all, the coffee comes out hot, not lukewarm. The water reservoir is removable so I can quickly fill it up. It comes with a storage bin that holds up to 9 k-cups. It's also travel mug friendly. If I remove the bottom stand it accommodates my taller travel mug. For those that like a stronger cup of coffee, it has a strong brew setting.

I love my new Keurig K-Mini Plus coffee brewer!
It's compact design leaves a smaller foot print and is perfect for my tiny coffee bar, leaving room for other related items. My only complaint would be that it is rather noisy, but it delivers a quick cup of hot coffee or tea in minutes.

HOT brew and simple to use!
I read the reviews on this product before I purchased. I do not see where the one I received brews a cooler cup of coffee, if fact it burnt my tongue the first cup because I expected it to be cooler than my other Keurig brewers. I am not using the storage because I use the San Francisco Bay product which I keep in a Mason jar to maintain the freshness. It is so simple to use that anyone in the office can use it. I keep it at my desk, but my clients and I are the only ones that use it. I only do a cup or two a day from this one. My home unit gets a lot more through it.

Great product!
Bought this for wife, it literally changed her life... she now gets excited at the store when going to choose her beverages. Lol The ease of use is also a huge bonus.

95% of the negative reviews are due to impatience/incompetence
Ok so I saw the reviews that this coffee maker gets to a point where it makes noise and doesn't spit out coffee/makes lukewarm coffee and I made the same mistakes. This is not a $175 Kuerig, it takes a little bit to make one cup of coffee in a machine that's the size of a desk lamp. Put water in the reservoir, add a cup, push the button....and resist the urge to freak out when you don't immediately get coffee. It will make noises and the light on top will go from being solid to pulsing slowly. It will then spit coffee out once it is hot enough. Lukewarm coffee comes when you panic because you don't have your fix soon enough so you add more water and hammer on the button like a crack addict (spoiler it mixes the hot water it's making with the cold water you added, also wastes a cup) TL;DR this machine works fine, set it up for one cup, push the button, and wait 2 minutes before jonesing

Great little coffee maker
I used to have keurig a but gave up on them because they were so big and tough to clean. This one is great, it’s small size fits perfect in my kitchen and the machine works great. I clean it about once a month with a white vinegar mix to make sure it doesn’t get clogged like my old machines did. I bought the filter that lets you use your own coffee and had some difficulty installing it but I called Keurig and they were able to walk me through the installation in minutes.
