I can't remember if I've already reviewed this or not but it's been almost 6 months now and this has easily paid for itself. The cleaning solution is pricey but the unit itself is really easy to use. I've not experienced the leaking that some other reviewers have mentioned. I could see that if you used the hose feature a lot that might start to breakdown, but I love the deep set in stain automatic setting. The instructions on putting the liquid in are a bit confusing in my opinion but I've learned that it's not an exact science and no matter what I do it seems to clean effectively every time. My dog, as she is getting older, is having accIdents more often. She'll eat something that doesn't agree with her and I wake up to a mess that's been sitting longer than I'd like. :/. I just fill the machine set it on the stain and viola it's gone.

This is the best rug cleaner I have ever owned. I have a new puppy who pees everywhere. Especially after she already went outside. And of course her favorite place to pee is in the hallway. I bought this rug cleaner and a black light and was surprised to find so many spots. I'm adding pictures to show how well this cleans. You do need to run deep clean for pee spots but the cycle is 6 minutes and the tank lasts for 3 deep cleans. Well worth the money.

I will stipulate that I haven't used the manual options to clean anything with this cleaner yet. I have however used it to clean 2 very nasty (watery) accidents the dog had. Thankfully the dog did this after I had bought the Spot-Bot because it made cleaning up a breeze. It did a WAY better job than I ever could have done on my own. I had to keep moving it around & ran it 8x to clean everything up. Let the spots dry & vacuumed, & I actually can't even tell where the mess was! I didn't think there was any way the carpet was going to come THAT clean! I have a large cleaner I figured I was going to have to fire up after running the Spot-Bot over the stains but I actually didn't need to, not in the slightest. I'm VERY impressed with the performance of the cleaner if you couldn't tell. I'd post some pictures but there's literally nothing to see but clean carpet, which is a nice problem to have! (Carpet is a light beige, not easy to hide stains.)

Summary: A real time saver for cleaning the numerous spills stains and messes from kids and pets. Semi-Automatically (see details) cleans vomit and other unpleasant messes. We have 3 kids (ages 2, 4 and 7) and 2 cats. One of our cats (Pukey cat, AKA Natasha) is a Siamese and vomits regularly. Our youngest is potty trained but still doesn't fully comprehend the concept of wiping one's behind on toilet paper. Need I say more? We're using this thing perhaps three times a week. This device is a bit larger than you'd expect. At approx 8"x16"x16 it's about as big as a small canister vacuum. It cleans an 8" circle with each cycle. This is typically good enough, when a mess is just larger, I find that it's easier to use the hand attachment (which also has a sprayer) to clean the "outlier" than to run another cycle. With a fresh pot of cleaning solution and an empty collector, it will run 4 cycles. Although it has a "Surface stain" and a "Set-in Stain" cycles, I have yet to find an organic stain (Vomit and stuff from the other end) that needed the "Set-in stain" cycle (which scrubs for six minutes instead of three.) We're pretty good at keeping food on the tile and hardwood floors so far. The carpet we've used it on are the very short berber (Basement) ~3/8" and 1/" nylon carpet, all light colored / off white. One is a "twist" carpet, the other a pretty standard style Here are some tips for using it: 1) Use warm water to help soften dried on stains. This one doesn't have an automatic heater (there is a model that does) 2) Don't feel like you need a lot of cleaning solution. The warm water gets out most organic stains on the first try. 3) After each cycle the circle is pretty wet. Use the hand hose to suck out the excess water. 4) Rotate the upper cord stowage hook to quickly remove the cord all at once. 5) Be careful where you put it when you're done - you're supposed to be able to leave water in the (clean) water tank and it's not supposed to leak but we have found that occasionally it will drip or leave a few tablespoons of water on the floor. Some of this is probably residual water in the hoses. We wouldn't want to leave it on a hardwood floor where this might be an issue. A couple of minor complaints: 1) The hand attachment isn't the easiest to remove and re-attach. It would be nicer if the button was larger. 2) The cleaning solution tank is no terribly stable. Be careful not to tip it over before putting the cap on - Don't ask me how I know this. 3) The unit is pretty big and storage is always tight 4) Despite the "Microban" the hose still gets a moldy/mildewy layer of crud - super nasty. We run a pint of hot water with a little bleach through once a month. Run it through 3-4 times while vigourously shaking the hose and it breaks all that crud off. Then rinse. I received this through the Amazon Vine program, if you found this review helpful or have questions or comments, please let me know!

But of an intro, skip down if you have no time. I've only had this about a week but I love it so far. I have 6 cats, didn't plan that but my girlfriend and I found a litter of kittens and already had a combined total of 3 so now that's life. Problem is one of the cats is antisocial and therefore gets along with only one, and since she's harassed she pees on the carpet near the litter boxes quite frequently. She's been doing this for a while so I tried finding a DIY approach to cleaning it, I'm also a lab technician so I did some chemical composition research, and the findings were unfortunate. The uric acid in urine is the main problem, the only thing that breaks it down is uricase which activates the oxidation of uric acid to soluble allantoin. So how we we get the enzyme uricase? Buy it? Nope. It's expensive in a powder form, but guess what produces it. Certain bacteria! The enzyme cleaners for pet urine not only contain a variety of enzymes to break down everything else in the urine but also bacteria that produce uricase and thrive off the uric acid and other components. So an enzyme cleaner is a must. Problem is this can get really expensive as you have to drench the area to be treated. So cleaning what you can up first is essential. The spot bot with the formula and oxy boost has worked great, even after drenching the area with enzyme cleaner it still glowed under a black light, but not after the spot bot got to work! It's great to set and let it work while you do something else and just move it around, no problems so far. Lastly the tank has a water and fill line for formula and boost, I found with constant use this was irritating because I'd have to fill the tank a few times and have to constantly add both and get liquid everywhere. So I did some measuring and here's the formula for a bulk mixture you can make if you have a lot of cleaning to do. Water fill line = 828 mL Formula line = 27 mL formula + 27 mL boost. Just add and mix in a bulk jug if needed!

This machine is amazing. I was shocked. My dogs had a severe diarrhea blowout from getting into some people food and garbage. My carpet looked beyond repair. We used the cleaning solution that came with it and also used Nature's Miracle Carpet Shampoo liquid. I am sold on the Spot Bot. It is fabulous and gets out any set in stain. Look at my pictures. Not a trace left and we didn't have to do a thing but move the machine to a different spot when it was done. No work for us!

Originally, my wife and I were borrowing a family member's vacuum-sized carpet cleaner whenever our Senior Dog had an accident in our carpeted apartment. Just as we aren't able to hold our bodily functions as we age, it became more and more apparent that our Sweet Old Boy had to go more frequently, and might not be able to hold it very long.... a full-sized carpet cleaner for a small spot seemed a little bit like overkill, and we didn't want to have to store such a large appliance. ...That's when we found out about SpotBot. I think my wife and I had seen it at Target awhile ago (when Dog was younger and able to hold his potty) and dismissed it, "Why would someone need that? Our Good Boy is a very good boy, and he can hold it!" Fast forward, it was one of the best purchases we had made. It's not only great for pet stains, but Spot Bot can also do immediate triage on Wine drips, Mud spots, weird Couch Stains... really, anything you would use a full-sized carpet cleaner on. Only, spot is small and portable... about a foot and a half tall and two feet wide. It doesn't have an onboard water heater, but just fill it with hot water before use! If you use the Surface Stain setting, you can get about 6 rounds of cleaning (or 6 spots) before having to empty the tank into the toilet, and the Deep Clean setting will get you about 3. The power cable is especially long, so if you needed to clean anything in your car, the hose setting would definitely be useful. One last thing I really liked about this unit is that it sucks up all the dirty solution, unlike some of the "spray it and leave/blot it" options, you can pick what your cleaning solution smells like, and you actually see results with very little work on your part... just push a button! This little tool saved our carpet, area rugs, and upholstered furniture. If you're torn between a full-sized carpet cleaner and this, ask yourself: "How much carpet do I anticipate cleaning and how much storage space do I have?" If the answer to both questions is "Not much..." Then go with this one!

Well I bought this a week ago and today was my first use and I am pleased with the results. I have two dogs and one is just a baby and she is peeing and pooping everywhere and I was constantly cleaning the carpets with my upright carpet cleaner. I wake up in the middle of the night with the smell of dog diarrhea and see three round dog diarrhea spots. After a couple of soupy poopies I noticed I was just pushing the soupy poopies around all over my entire carpet and making my upright even dirtier with poop clinging all over the bottom and wheels of my upright. GROSS! I had to clean the whole carpet cleaner with a hose outside just to get the poop off my upright carpet cleaner. That was when the search for a new carpet cleaner came and this was what I ended up getting and last night she did it again... she peed in a round spot in the living room right behind the couch where she thinks nobody will see her. I put this machine on it and it did a great job of cleaning up the pee. I have not yet used it for a soupy poopy yet...but I am sure it will do a good job. I wish I had this to use years ago.

We recently got a new puppy and there’s always the dreaded potty training phase. This little carpet cleaner is perfect for those little accidents. It came with a small size pet spot cleaner and small booster bottle which was great. So far I’ve tried it on potty stains, poop spots, and a spot where the cat threw up that was dried into the carpet. I couldn’t believe how well this thing worked! It’s has the two settings, quick clean (3 min) and deep clean (6 min). It literally is a set and it forget it machine. Just press the button for your chosen cleaning cycle and it will beep when it’s done. Soooo simple. I was able to get 5-6 spots with the deep clean mode before needing to refill water and solution. After refilling and using the quick clean mode, I was able to clean many more spots with one tank since it’s using less. I highly recommend the pet specific cleaner to help eliminate the stains and the odor. I haven’t tried the hose attachment yet, but I’m sure it works just fine. I mainly wanted to purchase this because of pet stains, and I like that it continuously scrubs and then vacuums up before it’s done, allowing me to not even touch the mess. This is a genius little device. I do recommend remptying and rinsing the container once you’re done and allowing it to air dry. This will prevent mildew and help your machine last a long time!

I was undecided whether to get brand name Hoover or Bissell, after reading many reviews I decided on this model, and I’m glad I did. This vacuum cleaner is fantastic. It cleaned up an accident in my bedroom by my new puppy and also sanitised my carpet. My carpet was left spot free and smelled fresh and clean. Best yet, my carpet wasn’t soaked or drenched in water after the cleaning. An absolute must have for pet owners.
