I like rice but my husband doesn’t so I got this mini rice cooker as a gift for myself. I’ve had it about a month and it’s great. Put in the rice, put in the water and press cook and that’s it. I wondered if the warming feature that takes over after cooking is done would make the rice over cook, but I’ve gotten perfect sticky rice the way I like it every time. The rice cooker takes up very little room, cleans up easy and is so much easier than stove cooking. Be aware that it has to be unplugged to turn off but it’s really no big deal. It comes with a measuring cup and directions but I’ve been using a 2(water) to 1(rice) ratio and it works for me. Added 11/21/2019 It’s been a year now and my little pink cooker is still working great and looks as good as the day I got it.

When I first received it, I was a little disappointed about how small it was. But when I used it it changed my mind. He makes SO much rice, way more than I thought could fit in the tiny bowl. It is super easy you just push the bottom and it cooks and then when it's finished it goes to keep warm setting. The rice taste perfect and it's super easy to clean. Great for cooking rice for a family of 3. Definitely recommend.

I used to avoid making rice because it was a hassle, requiring vigilance, timing and temperature control, not to mention the cleanup of the sticky mess left behind. This cute little non-stick gizmo makes PERFECT rice while you IGNORE it, sometimes for hours... It comes with a charming recipe booklet that shows things that can be made with it BESIDES rice - like soup, mac n cheese, chili, pudding, etc. This attractive cooker takes center stage in my kitchen. I recommend it highly! (A fine Dash product.)

great for cooking a meal for one or two...or a side dish for 1-4 or even 6 people depending on what you cook... as a rice cooker turns out wonderful every time...used it to make stews, soups, deserts, cake (yes cake) and bread..easy to clean in dishwasher or by hand in sink...when cooked switches to keep warm so you don't have to babysit the cooker...highly recommend.

Purposed this mini rice cooker to replace one I had purchased from National. Since the company no longer makes this size cooker, I had to research other companies and found this one. It is perfect for a family of two with no left overs so we enjoy freshly cooked rice. It comes at a reasonable price also.

Perfect little cooker for making sides, dips, and rice. Recipes included were good. You can use smaller sized crock pot liners for dips or sides to make cleanup even easier.

Perfect size for a single person... Low maintenance also easy to to use. Ps. Rice cooker does not turn off you have to physically unplug or else it will stay in “warm mode” other than that I recommended.

This is such a versatile appliance because not only can you make rice but many other things as well. I bought this to use in my tiny camper because it is only 200 watts and I can use it with my small portable generator. Since it's not camping season here currently in the wintry northeast, so far have used it in my home kitchen for making soup, casseroles, oatmeal and even steamed salmon (water in the rice cooker with steamer on top). I put a small pizza pan underneath the cooker when I'm using it in case of a spillover from foods that foam like oatmeal. A small pie pan or just a plate could also be used. This mini rice cooker comes nicely packaged and includes a beautiful recipe book with everything from mac & cheese to chocolate cake recipes with full-page color photos of most of the dishes. I'm looking forward to trying the turkey chili and banana bread recipes. The perfect size for 1-2 people, this rice plus cooker is super simple to clean since the pot is removable. With such a small footprint, it doesn't take up a lot of counter space and it's easy to store. There are no dials to change temperature or time, just ON/OFF...easy peasy! I love the many colors it comes in so you can pick your favorite. I own many Dash appliances and love all of them but this is one of my favorites. If you are thinking of getting this mini rice cooker, don't hesitate, just do it!

Perfect for one or two people.......! Great addition to the rice cooker collection. Well made, quality non-stick coating in the bowl. A smaller version perfect for Kraft Blue Box Mac and Cheese-- 2 cups water, box pasta added....cook 20 minutes and water absorbed. Add cheese mix, milk, butter, stir, perfect size. Simple..... Now as for rice go with the usual ratio--- 3/4 cup rice, 1 cup water......20 minutes and done...!! Even heating, no burning, make sure you hit the pot with PAM Cooking spray and the rice will fall out after cooking...... Will recommend to friends....

For one person, this is the best rice cooker! But, it's not just a rice cooker. I make my morning oatmeal (Quaker quick cook) in it every morning. It truly is hassle-free which can be use as a "set-it and forget-it" appliance. There is an oatmeal recipe in user guide, but I prefer the texture of the recipe from the oatmeal carton. I've made a pancake in it, and it was pretty good! I'm looking forward to trying out a one-portion cake recipe. The recipe has the cake a glass dish placed slightly elevated in a water bath. Because the pan is smaller, I plan to use a couple of clothes pin halves (without the metal spring) to elevate it. The idea is to raise the glass dish off the heating element so it won't burn easily. I've made cake in my Insta-pot, but I think it will actually be quicker in the rice cooker because you don't have to wait for the pressure to build up or releasing the steam. It also tastes WAY better than using the microwave mug version. Better to make it with whole ingredients too. There are also a ton of recipes online, which takes all the guess work out of it! I also use only wooden utensils as those will not scratch the coating. Bamboo utensils have a firmer edge that I don't like using in coated pans. Once it gets even a tiny scratch, the coating is compromised and will eventually flake off. That's just the nature of coated pans. It is super easy to clean. Be sure to use a soft REGULAR sponge/ or BETTER YET, a good old-fashioned dishcloth so it can't scratch and ONLY hand wash. If anything even slightly sticks, SOAK the pan in the sink! Don't use scrub-safe plastic scrubbers or dual-sided sponges. Both will scratch any coated pans. The pan won't need a whole lot of soak-time either. I refuse to put it in the dishwasher. The dishwasher soap (powdered bleach) combined with the elevated heat in the drying cycle may shorten the coating's life. Believe me, I've ruined way too many coated over the past 25 years with the dishwasher! Even though it may need a little more care washing the pan, I still highly recommend it! Two cups is perfect and the variety of recipes from the one-mug cookbooks can certainly apply here.
