WORKED GREAT AND MADE MY JOB EASY! IF YOU NEED A HAND PUMP TO ADD FLUID TO YOUR TRANSFER CASE OR THE REAR OF YOUR PICKUP OR CAR, THEN THIS IS CLEARLY THE CHEAPEST WAY TO GO. I USED IT TO PUMP GM TRANSFER CASE OIL, THE FITTING DOEA NOT WORK ON A STD QT CONTAINER. I TRANSFERED THE FLUID TO A MOBIL 1 OIL CONTAINER THAT HAS THE LARGE MOUTH SPOUT AND IT WORKED FINE. YOU CAN HOWEVER GET THIS UNIT A LITTLE CHEAPER FROM PEP BOYS BUT IF YOU WISH TO GET IT WITHOUT STARTING THE CAR THEN AMAZON IS THE WAY TO GO. I HAVE 2 ONE FROM PEP BOYS AND ONE FROM AMAZON.

I bought this to refill the lower drive unit for the I/O on my boat with 75W/90 gear oil. It worked like a charm and should most all boat engines. I'm sure that it delivered the stated 30 mL/pump which was fast enough but allowed a lot of control so as not to overfill the unit. One of the three provided cap adapters screwed right onto a 1-gal windshield washer fluid jug. The cap adapters were all to small for a Mobile One quart bottle and too small for most 5-quart motor oil bottle.

I bought this pump because Motorcraft transmission fluid in quart bottles has a larger thread than ‘standard’ quart bottles. This pump is cited for gallon bottles so I was thinking that I would have to trim the suction tube down to fit but to my surprise it comes not only with an additional 42mm thread cap but also with three suction tubes of varying lengths. The pump appears well built with good quality (supple) fill hose of a good length. I will most certainly buy a couple more of these as the very small additional cost is well worth it.

Exactly what I wanted. I was originally looking for something to pump RedLine quart bottles of gear oil for my differential but those openings are small and I don’t think anyone makes one. I decided since I have 2 Subarus that need the same diff oil so I’ll just spring for the gallon bottle if I can get a pump for it. I was worried about the pump not fitting the bottle cap, especially when even the seller says it won’t fit in the q&a. So I can say for sure it fits RedLine and many other gallon bottles. It comes with 2 lid sizes and the smaller lid came preinstalled on mine and that’s the correct one for the RedLine bottle.

this works really well. it's controlled and not messy or cumbersome. it comes with a few different screw on adapters for different thread bottles. I used it for motor oil, but none of the adapters were large enough for the five quart jug. I poured my oil into an old washer fluid gallon container and it worked like a champ!

Works great for polaris diff oil quart bottles. The image shows the pump action pushed down and is screwed into tube that inserts into the jug (like the any hand soap bottle). I say that because I wasn't sure if it would be too tall for a quart jug, but its not. I believe the smaller section hoses are used to extended the pump to touch the bottom of much larger jugs. Works great and has other threaded caps for different jugs. The black plastic expander worked well for my use.

I have been trying to find a way to transfer liquid dish washing detergent from a large jug into the soap dispenser unit that is part of my kitchen sink. I always found pouring the thick liquid soap into the small opening difficult especially since the faucet lever was in the way and the jug was cumbersome. Often a bubble would form in the opening of the soap dispenser which then caused the soap to overflow. The Slippery Pete Fluid Pump was the answer! The unit fits snugly in the opening of the gallon jug of Costco brand liquid soap and I then push the other end of the tube down into the soap dispenser so that I am filling the bottle from inside the reservoir which avoids bubbles and spills. Very easy and no mess. I store the gallon of detergent with the pump attached and clip the end of the tube to the neck of the jug so nothing spills. Seems to work great.

Pete keeps asking for my review but I didn't use the pump yet. The pump arrived 2 days after I did the job it was intended for. I watched the tracking for days. My pump went from NJ to Florida and back to NJ before ending up at my home in NY. I used Pete's quart sized pump from a previous purchase to do the job. It worked as intended just a little time consuming. About 150 - 170 pumps per quart, about 3-4 minutes. Of course I had to pour the gallon jug into quart bottles for this smaller pump.

Had to trim the tube just slightly, but otherwise spot-on. Takes a lot of pumps (80+) to fill a 2-liter transmission, transfer case or differential, but it beats the heck out of the alternative (e.g., buying a quart of gear oil in a squirt bottle and reusing that over and over, with spills and issues with no room to tilt the squirt bottle). Works as described and saves some hassle.

Pump came with two extra caps and three pickup tubes (2 short and 1 long). The cap that came on the pump fit the gallon jug of Stalube 85/90 gear oil I had. One of the short pickup tubes also made the pump just the right length. The pump handled the gear oil without any difficulty. Their 1 ounce per stroke also seems about right, or maybe even a bit low, since the pump made pretty quick work of adding nearly a gallon of oil to each of my diffs. For the price this seems to be a decent pump, much better that the old Plews that I had.
