Great for Humans and Felines
I use this as a supplement for my cat to help her maintain her muscle mass as she ages. It is a great option for a cat with kidney disease. The package is easy to open and resealing is a snap. Great product - cat loves it. Will be ordering again.

1/2 lb (8 oz) Dried Egg Whites
I used them for the first time for a "fluff" recipe where I needed stiffly beaten egg whites. I am used to the "Just Whites" and thought those reconstituted a bit more easily, but I'm sure as I get used to using these, that they will reconstitute as well. It may be that my water wasn't as warm as usual. They whipped up nicely and they looked, smelled, and tasted just fine in the recipe, so I am very pleased with them. I don't feel safe using raw egg whites in recipes and the powdered egg whites are my only option when I want to make something like a snow, a whip, or a fluff. I've never had a problem when I used uncooked egg whites, but they make me uneasy. They arrived very quickly, and are nicely-packaged. The bag opened properly and the ziploc closure works. I have had problems with those, so I am happy with the quality of this packaging. I will order them again, and I would recommend them. Update 6/21/'16 I have changed my 4-star review to a 5-star. I heated my water for 10 more seconds, and used a mini-whisk, and all of the egg powder reconstituted and whipped very nicely into stiff peaks.

I made a scrambled egg and was blown away at how good it tasted. I wanted something to take in our RV AND to use at home. We are rural and can’t always get to the grocery store. I’m impressed!

Makes great meringue and Macarons. Love this product!!!!
I will never go back to using liquid egg whites again. Not only did I find myself wasting the egg yolk, but the outcome of my Macarons were never as good as they are with these powdered egg whites. They whip up beautifully and are extremely stable. I’ve made meringue cookies with these as well and they baked nicely and were delicious. I highly recommend this product and will buy it again and again.

Whole Egg Powder works great in recipe's. Easy to use.
They take some getting used to. These eggs need to be beaten well before use as scrambled eggs however cooking with them is even simpler than with whole eggs. They work great in recipe's. Test it out before you bring them camping so cooking will be experienced and pleasant. The instructions state that these dehydrated eggs need to be "[refrigerated] after opening" so just bring what you need and will use on trips. Otherwise bring a cooler. I would not back pack long distances with a whole bag unless cooking for a group.

This was the second time I ordered these eggs, they taste great. One tip, would be to add the water, and let them sit for at least 5 to 10 minutes. When I do that, I can't tell them from fresh eggs.

Used this for royal icing. Worked perfectly. I would suggest soaking the egg white powder in water for 10-15 minutes, then whisk with a fork to reconstitute. After that, use just like raw egg whites. Very long shelf life, and enough in this package for many, many recipes, so practical for the home cook/baker.

Great product, BUT
Great product, BUT ... use hot water when dissolving. It takes a little practice, and a fair amount of patience, but you'll get the swing of it. Of course, real egg whites are best for cocktail mixes, but many folks have been frightened away from such health-disenfranchised practices. For me, I am just lazy, but also do not wish to waste the yolk.

After wildfires caused widespread power outages last summer, I thought it would be smart to keep more nonperishables on hand. I have never used powdered eggs before and wanted to experiment with them to see whether they actually taste good and function well in baked items. So far we have tried them as scrambled eggs, which were fine, and chocolate chip cookies. The cookies turned out beautifully, I have to say. I used my regular recipe but used these instead of fresh eggs. The cookies were perfect--crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, no changes in taste, and looked delicious. The only change I made to the recipe was to use maybe a teaspoon or so more of water than the label recommended because the dough looked a tad dry. Anyway, really excited about this product! Will also try next time I make muffins or brownies.

Miracle Ingredient for low carb pasta
I ordered The powdered egg whites because they were listed as an ingredient in a recipe for spinach "pasta" by chef Rocco DiSpirito which called for the powdered egg whites, spinach, garlic and spices. The result was nothing short of a miracle - basically a no carb pasta that was time consuming to make but works well as fettuccine or lasagne sheets. It was worth the time and effort. I've already reordered.
