Nice inexpensive meter
These meters are much better quality then the HF "freebees" and using my custom built DMM I find the DC voltage to run approx .01 volt high @ the 3 volt level. This is fine enough for the everyday general hobbyist and would be adjustable if there was a pot on the circuit board, which I did not see - but, this is well within the website description of accuracy. The only thing I wasn't real pleased about was the low quality test leads that came with it. But, being as I make my own, this is no issue for me.

Great product and quality is excellent
Great product and quality is excellent, a life saver. I was able to test my cars battery because Pep Boys did not want to exchange a battery I bought in November. It would not take a charge and would only crank up when I boosted it with a DBPOWER DSJ40 Jump Starter ( another must have) They blamed the alternator, I knew they were wrong and when I showed them with the car running that i was getting 14.2v constantly with lights on and heater on, this means the laternationg is working!!! I got a new battery and SURPRISE!!! No more dead battery. This tester is a must around the house , great price good quality and instructions are not in "Chinglish" Very well written English manual, very informative.

Good Customer Service using a simple Chat Window
I could have called the company, but going to the website for a look gave me immediate access to a few other interesting items carried by this same company as well as the chat window. I am switching from Needle Scale multimeters to Digital and had a few questions. The website for the supplier has a chat window and all my questions were answered there. The Multimeter has a nice protective shell that is easily removed if needed. The Auto-Range ability was a deciding factor as I am nothing more than a DIY/Hobbyist and not even close to working this as a profession. It makes it easier for me to test simple items that use AC or DC current which is about all I really know and is easy to switch to using the dial. The Backlit display does indeed go out in 30 seconds to save your batteries, but it has so far been on long enough for me to test things without being hindered. It does not beep at every connection which after reading other model reviews can be irritating and I apparently avoided that nuisance. So far the only one switch that does beep is the Continuity setting, which is fine with me. I don't mind that it didn't come with a Hard Case or carry bag, but a few recommended models would be nice. A little cross-marketing never hurts. Not enough to knock off my rating by any means, however. I'm going to go and register this now to get my one-year extended warranty that was included in the package. I won't use it much but the extension will be nice.

Auto-Ranging
Worked right of the box. Checked with battery and then made several measurements which all seemed accurate. The auto range feature worked great. Would like to be able to keep the back light on all the time but goes out after 30 seconds. Liked the built in probe holder on the back of the meter and stand. It fits comfortable in the hand. Best of all was the price for an auto-ranging meter which worked extremely well and seemed to have a quality build and feel to it. Since it does not have the bumper padding some other handheld meters have do not know how well it would survive a drop.

Great small multimeter
Great quality multimeter that works flawlessly! The display is easy to read and the selector switch gives the the user the ability to check dc/ac voltage, amps, olms, all in a broad range with a high degree of accuracy. The battery compartment is easy to access and replace the two AAA batteries. The multimeter also has a pull out stand that makes it easy to read while working on a bench or other flat surface. All in all the multimeter will give you the ability as a home owner or hobbiest to perform any circuit, ac or dc tasks to include all types and sizes of batteries!

Excellent Customer Service, easy to use, good amount of functions
Excellent multimeter for sure, yet the 200mA 600V fuse is really hard to find. I broke it because of my careless resistor connection. UPDATE: After my first review, customer service contacted me and offered me a refund or a full replacement. Can't believe they are giving me because of my mistake. This is like the first time I experienced a customer service that willingly helps me. My review for this multimeter is always positive, yet the hard-to-find fuse somewhat annoys me. This is acceptable sice there are some standards that a multimeter should meet. Next time, I have to be careful about ammeter test. Excellent customer service, and excellent multimeter for $18. The accuracy is great for not-so-serious tests and it has all the functions I need as a beginner in electronics, plus it is easy to use

For the price, it's a great multi-meter
With the cables from my 1985 Radio Shack / Micronta digital multi-meter in tatters, it was actually less expensive to buy this than new leads. Well, maybe not, but that's what I've convinced myself. Plus this has a capacitor test (which I have yet to use) which will come in very handy with malfunctioning electronics. Not being a professional electronic technician, I'm going to have to get used to just having an icon for what the test is instead of some text. Thinking of printing some small labels or print off a list and tape to the back somewhere. My first job with this was defeating GM's VATS / Passkey 2 system on a friend's car. This read the resistance of his key's "pellet" exactly as the same as my old Micronta multi-meter, so it made identifying the appropriate bypass resistor painless. From what I can tell, it is very accurate. My only complaint of this thing is that there's no apparent way to turn off the beep for continuity testing. I like a silent tester, and this is far from that.

Digital Multimeter
Very satisfied with the purchase of my 'new' Etekcity Digital Multimeter. My old meter of a different brand broke after many many years. I researched many different brands to replace my old one and found this meter had all that I wanted in a meter, especially for the home user. I especially like that it holds the test leads on the backside. The backlit display is a nice touch - I do wish it would stay on a little longer instead you have to press the button again after 30 seconds, but that's not a deal breaker for me at least. Solid product and very pleased with it.

Excellent product
I purchased the Etekcity Digital Multimeter as an upgrade to my 20-yr old basic Craftsman Multimeter. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and price of the Etekcity multimeter. A day of so after purchase, I assisted my son with upgrading some wiring in his recently purchased home. The multimeter is simple to use and appears to be very accurate. I feel much more confident with electrical upgrades knowing that I have a multimeter that is dependable. The video on how to use the multimeter on Amazon was very helpful as well as the instructions included with the purchase.

Perfect beginner multimeter
This is the first multi meter I've ever owned and it is life changing. Within a few days I identified which of my home's outlets weren't up to code, diagnosed my weed whacker batteries and found which cells needed replacing, and fixed a friend's Super Nintendo that wasn't turning on anymore. The auto ranging feature is great for a novice user like myself and I would suggest this to anyone getting started in the world of electronics.
