I wasn’t sure if this would really work well since it’s so small and light when I received the package... let me just say, I was pleasantly surprised! It took me probably only just a few seconds to figure out how to work it (and I’m not tech savvy by any means!) and connect it to my phone to start playing music. The music is SO CLEAR too!!! I couldn’t believe it. When I tried it out upon arrival, I had people over in my home and they couldn’t believe it either. It’s super compact to go anywhere with you, has the clearest sound, and is waterproof, what more could you want?! Can’t wait to take this on vacation with us!! -latteswithliz

Everything they say but so much better than you expect!!!

When I got the Illumination, I thought it would work well enough. I thought the sound would be good but not great, it would be waterproof but act funny if it got wet, it wouldn't float and it would be difficult to use....well I was wrong. The sound is superb, clear and crisp with a nice bass to it and it feels up a room. I took it in the shower with me and no issues at all, I put it under the shower head so it would get wet with no issues to sound or the device. Then I was testing the floating in the sink (with water running), when it floated under the faucet and was pushed under by the water pressure, but it came out perfectly fine still no change in sound. I will be honest the radio was a mystery for me, until I realized it worked like the skip option for the player...you hold the vol key down. All in all, this was a great pick up and I have already recommended ti to some friends who need a great device like this one. Plus I know what's going on vacation with me in the hot tub....lol. If you are looking for an all weather or pool side speaker, this is the one to get for the money. Plus it's so small you can put it in jacket pocket with no issue. Plus the charge held for the whole time I was using it, so that it s a plus as well. Highly recommended!!!

Easy pair bluetooth - ALEXA and more. Good sound quality

I love this speaker. The hookup was flawless to Alexa bluetooth, I have a a 'portable' Alexa Dot made portable by buying the battery pack and use at pool side. Well the Dot music quality was pretty poor. So bought this little speaker. The quality is SOOOO much better and definitely waterproof. I've even had it floating in the pool with no adverse effects and bluetooth keeps working. The 'breathing' i9s subtle but nice. It seems to charge quickly and in the few times I've had it at the pool, the charge outlasted me. Sound quality is good to very good, and for the environment I'm using it in--that's great, and much better than I expected in a speaker this side in a waterproof enclosure. I've also used this with my phone. The FM radio works well, and for a change of pace, changed to FM music, then back to Bluetooth with no loss of connectivity. The only nit I have on this, and not enough to reduce a star, is the tuning on the FM radio. Instructions didn't say how, but it was fairly intuitive using the < > buttons.Nor is there anyway to tell what station you are listening to-so listen for the call sign and move up or down the dial till you find your favorite. Like I said..minor, and not enough to take a star away. Plan on buying one for by daughter and grandkids for outdoor use. I haven't used the suction cup, but it looks like it would be great on edge of pool, spa or shower.

I really like this speaker! It has great volume, it's easy to use, the fact that it's waterproof and dust proof is awesome for my husband to take on deployment. The only issue we had was the sucton doesn't stick to our tub surround because it's textured (like a matte finish) instead of the really smoothe kind. I don't find that to be a big deal because you can stick it to a mirror, or counter top or just set it on the side of the tub or floor next to the shower and it's loud enough you can still hear it. Very cool product. Customer service is awesome the checked in with me to make sure I was happy with it. Shipping was incredibly fast. I'm very happy. Thanks so much HBE!

Love it!

Me and my younger sister have been using this product for a couple of weeks now and its definitely worth the money. Although it's not as loud as my other speaker the fact that its waterproof and can stay in the shower closer to you makes up for it. I like the color of it as well. Still havent needed to charge it which is cool that the battery is lasting so long as small as it is. I plan on getting the other speaker by the same company for my bedroom or kitchen soon.

Sleek & Modern Looks and Works Fantastic!

We got a pool this summer, and my twins are just at the age where they are starting to really appreciate music and want to listen to it all of the time. It's been YEARS since I've listened to music on a regular basis in my home, and really, the only time I listen to music now is in my car. So, the only speaker/stereo that I have is from the mid 90's! I started looking for speakers, and came across this one relatively quickly, and was drawn to it because it is water resistant (it says waterproof, but I'm pretty sure that if you immersed it in water, there would be problems!) Anyways, with two boys, I wanted something that wouldn't break easily, and since it has a rubberish type of covering, it won't break if it is dropped. Also, I wanted something that would hold up outside with water, so that they could listen to it as they swam...or even when they're taking a bath. I love the looks of it as well. The blue is a great color, and the way the lights change is pretty cool. It just has an all over great look to it, and so far I haven't had any issues at all. The sound quality is decent, and I have no complaints in that area. It's not a Bose system or anything, but for the price, you definitely get a great speaker. I would definitely recommend this speaker to anyone looking for something that will survive younger children and/or being outside near water/pools. I have already got a ton of use out of it, because my boys love the colors and how great the music sounds. So, it's definitely a hit at my house!

Perfect for the shower!

This is a great little Bluetooth speaker. It's waterproof, and has a very durable suction cup to keep it in place. It's really easy to pair with your Bluetooth device and charges on a USB port. It also has the option to choose what background color you'd like your speaker to be. There are several choices, but I like the pulsing changing color option.

Wonderful bathroom speaker

I bought this for my husband who likes to listen to music while showering. It is fully waterproof for the shower, sticks to the shower wall well, and is super easy to operate. This will keep his phone from the humidity of the shower and hopefully preserve some of the life of his expensive phone. We had a party recently, and used it to play music in the dining room since the volume and balance are quiet acceptable for background music. It pairs easily. The only down side is that if I try to use it, I have to unlearn it from my bluetooth and relearn it as it reads with his bluetooth. Not being gifted with technology, I do not know if this a phone issue verse an item issues. Regardless, its a simple problem for a fantastic speaker for the price.
