The answer to my parenting prayers

I bought these lights because my kids and mother in law would constantly leave the stairway and hallway lights on. They can't seem to grasp the concept that I pay for electricity. So rather than continuing to yell at them and get upset, I looked for a lighting solution. I wanted something that would turn on when they walked near the light and would shut off after they left. So I purchased these lights and they work perfectly. I no longer have to yell at my family about turning off the light. It now shuts off automatically. The only issue now is that they actually shut off the light switch which stops this from working. If they were consistently doing that in the first place, I wouldn't need this great light bulb solution. lol Pros Bright led lights Easy to set up and install Cons Doesn't work well in outside fixture that may have glass around it. Manufacturer warned users about this. It does work, but not unless you get really close to the light. So I wouldn't recommend using this for any light fixture that is housed in glass.

Super bright motion light

Super bright motion light. My.only compaint is the light only stays on for op seconds without movement or .option so when I'm walking the dogs it goes off. You have to be within about 2 feet of this for the motion to work. Great for saving g bulb life I guess but a little longer range of motio. Would be nice. Again great product doe the money. I highly recommend. I use mine on my carport and it functions great. I did not live it on my front porch as the range of motion was to lose and did t turn on quick enough if I cone fro. My path to the side. This is great when you are in close proximity but not from much distance.

Quite bright

I bought these for security in my new house. My main characteristic I was looking for was something that would be really bright (not just standard household LED lightbulbs). These were certainly bright enough, and I'm glad I got these (I feel they would scare away someone sneaking up on my house).

Bright light - like the fact that it does not come on during daylight

After a few days of use, these lights do a great job lighting the sides of our home at night if motion is detected. Our eaves are high (2 stories) and hence motion is detected in a range of about 25 feet from the position of the light under the roof. Certainly if mounted lower, the lights would detect motion from further away. We'd like to see a version of this light with higher sensitivity, although it is sufficient for our application, as we have them on every corner of the house. Great value for the money.

Great price, good motion detection

I installed these in outdoor hanging porch lights. They work well and light up when a car pulls up or somebody comes to the door, which was my intent. I have two of them. I wish they had these in more of a yellow light than white as it would suit our house well. But otherwise these serve the purpose I purchased them for. My porch lights have an open bottom so the light bulbs hang upside down, which may allow the sensor to be exposed. They are behind glass however and still seem to work fine as sensors.

Functions perfectly

I used this in an overhead porch fixture that is a hanging glass enclosure with an open bottom. I added an extension to the socket to ensure the sensor on the bulb protruded through the open bottom of the fixture. The lamp functions perfectly so I now leave the switch on all the time. The lamp color is a very cold white and a bit harsh so I would not recommend using this bulb in locations where it would be on constantly, but otherwise it is a good product and worked for me.

Never worry about leaving your lights on again

Was always forgetting to shut off the outside lights. on a whim I searched for a self-contained motion sensing light bulb and sure enough these came up after reading the reviews I ordered the set and when received I installed them immediately. these things work absolutely perfectly, better than I could have imagined and they are so bright brighter than the other LED bulbs I had in here at that cost about $5 more. the other thing I really like about these is that I can use them in conjunction with my ring video doorbell instead of having to buy one of those motion sensing spotlights. the light from this thing is so bright and goes so far I can't imagine a spotlight being any better or even as good as this light bulb connected to an ordinary socket. For anybody looking at these light bulbs as a solution to add motion sensing light around your home oh, this is the right product.

works great

This LED bulb reacts right away to motion 10 plus feet away. It's a bright white light which may seem harsh but it's plenty bright. I have it in a hanging fixture without any sides, so it can pick up motion better.

Bright LED bulbs - Updated 11/29

Perhaps I was lucky to get a pair of crappy bulbs, but one wouldn't even turn on until you shake while in the socket (yes, I moved it to other bulb sockets too) and the other wouldn't even detect motion until you're directly under it, I am pretty sure that's not how they are suppose to work. Needless to say I contacted the manufacturer and they said to place the bulb higher..... I don't think I can raise my ceilings anymore, then they are now. I returned these bulbs, not sure how they got such great ratings. Update: 11/29 - since my return and review of the product Aukora CS reached out looking and offered to make things right. I was sent replacements, for an honest review. So in fact, the first set of bulbs sent was faulty, and these behave much better then the previous set. I haven't came across much led motion bulbs at a 100 watt equivalent as most are 60. These bulbs are bright and they do work in the entrance of my home as it was originally intended for. So far so good and their customer service has redeemed themselves with the attention they are putting into this.

These work great but beware of excess light in area making them seem not to - BUY

2019-02-17: These bulbs work great. We are deploying them many places in the house now. Key is that won't light when they get enough light from another source. Also very sensitive so I had to place some tape on the sensor to cover directions that we did not want them to trigger from like a closet light which is turning on due to motion in the adjoining room. If you understand them well, they work great. Upgrading to five stars - BUY 2019-02-10: Second bulb has worked well since put into use. I'm pleased. Bumped stars to 4. I put bulb number one back and we'll see if it is really defective or if we were still learning just how much light from elsewhere will keep it from coming on. Things are looking up here.....this is a solid BUY for the second one. 2019-01-22: Seller has reached out to me quickly to help fix problem. I'm testing with bulb number 2 current. So far so good. Further updates coming... ORIGINAL REVIEW: Bought these for a closet off bedroom to replace battery driven motion activated light we've use for years. It worked perfectly for two days although both the cats and I had to adjust to them turning it on constantly. On day 3 it wouldnt' come on at all. All motion ignored, confirmed switch and power, put old bulb in, all works except the new bulb. Walked away from it and a couple hours later it started working again. Fast forward to bed time same day and, alas, it doesn't work again. This time replaced with it with bulb 2 which we'll test for a couple days before sending them back barring number 2 working flawlessly. Update to come. - AVOID.
