Needed something to extract audio from my hdmi projector (why some epson projectors lack audio out via 3.5mm jack confounds me). I needed an extra HDMI cable, but I was able to send the HDMI from my xbox one to this adaptor, then from a second hdmi cable to my projector. I then fit a yellow red RCA-to-3.5mm female adaptor to this and was able to plug my desktop speakers (logitech z623) to play audio, sans stereo! Strongly recommended for those who want to avoid the headache of a stereo receiver. I can "daisy chain" a pair of z623s for 4.2 audio surround sound. An audiophile may shriek, but the sound quality is above average, affordable, and much less of a headache.

Box works well, built like a brick outhouse. Using it with firestick4k on an OLD 50 inch panny plasma monitor that has a great picture but no audio. LG sound bar updated 4K remote and Voila it's all good. No wall wort for power included just the micro USB cable but everyone has a bunch of spare those things (5 VDC @ 1 amp) hanging around. Right? I just cut the $140.00 sat cord, the streaming service I use has everything we need so it was a no brainer, I just wish Amazon and Google would stop acting like the idiots in D.C. and allow their services to be availible cross platform.

I have a projector linked to my playstation 4 and had bought a sound bar. I wondered where I should plug the soundbar in order to get the sound from ps4 and on YouTube found someone explaining I needed this gadget. I'm glad I went for this one instead of those $60+ ones I've seen with countless other features I didn't need.

It does exactly what it was designed to do! I use it to extract audio to analog RCA so that I can pass audio from a blu ray player to a bluetooth transmitter then to a wireless bluetooth speaker. This is for my outdoor theater setup. It works great. No picture degradation or audio loss issues.

No audio output on my Samsung tv... so I Bought this. Plug hdmi from xfinity box to it, hdmi to TV then the RCA cable with a 3mm plug to my Bose sound Dock. Perfect. My Bose sound dock has A REMOTE FOR SOUND LEVEL and I think you need that or the sound will not be controlled with the TV. For my application it’s just what I needed.

eSynic 1080P HDMI to HDMI Optical TOSLINK SPDIF and Analog RCA L/R Stereo Audio Extractor Converter Mini 3D HDMI Audio Splitter Adapter for Apple TV Blu-ray Player, Aug 2018. I am using this device to provide audio(RCA connectors) for my Sony stereo amplifier using my ROKU 3 HDMI out cable. TV picture passed back to the TV looks OK, and sound quality is good thru the stereo amp (and TV). The external USB power was not needed as the ROKU box is supplying enough power thru the HDMI cable. It is unclear how much power the device needs(the Esynic does not get very warm), but it is working great using the ROKU supplied power. I have used the device for one week therefore I cannot comment about longer term durability or the optical output. So far - so good.

I like that it's small and can be tucked out of the way. Don't really like the SUPER bright LEDs on it though, if you don't hide it somewhere out of sight, they are bright enough to be distracting when viewing a movie in a dark room. It strips the sound off of the HDMI signal well, I have the analog L+R signal from the RCA jacks going into a high-end vacuum tube amplifier. No noise, good stereo separation, sounds like it does have the full 20Hz to 20KHz audio spectrum coming out of it. Sounds great fed into my tube amp and on to my Tang Band 8" full-range speakers.

Had issues getting TV and other sound via the Roku Express that I bought to replace the box from my cable provider, so a friend recommended purchasing one of these devices. Set-up was very easy, although initially I wasn't getting any sound or picture to come through until I plugged in the AC adapter cable that came with it (didn't plug it in at first because the red light on the front and green light on the back were on, though blinking intermittently so I though enough power might be flowing from the HDMI cables). In any case, once the power was plugged in (you'll need the female USB hub/block to plug in the cable that is provided), the picture appeared and I was able to hear all of the menu sounds from the Roku Express. For reference, my older Bose Cinemate speakers only have one optical input and a LR RCA connection. So far no problems, although you may need to switch the audio setting switch on your device to accommodate for various audio streams from Netflix, Plex, Amazon, etc. when using the Roku.

Several companies make audio extractors that look almost identical to this one. Don't be fooled - the ESYNIC is the one to buy. It might have cost us a couple dollars more (like $2-$5??) but it's significantly more robust and just higher quality all around than other units. I know, I've replaced several over the years. I use it in a live sound setting to pull audio via TOSLINK from the computer HDMI into the FOH digital board and it sounds great. You can also grab the audio via stereo RCA. If you're running HDMI in any setting (Pro Audio, Home Theater, etc.) and you need to extract the audio to run to a mixer or amplifier - this is the unit you need.

I have a home theater set up in one of my rooms and I wanted to add a Roku express streamer. The problem I encountered was that My Onkyo sound system has only pass-through HDMI so no sound from the Roku. This product solved the problem perfectly. Very easily installed, reasonably priced in a compact package. Be aware that it requires a 5v source not included but most any 1/2amp USB charger can be used.
