Totally satified with my new ... Dr' Q 14.1

I absolutely love my Dr. Q 14.1 in. I love the size of the screen. I use it to watch movies at home and at night before I go to bed. Very convenient. The only thing I'm at all concerned about is the access button; the way the machine opens and closes to play the dvds. Most of the time it catches right away but sometimes it doesn't. I'm concerned it will ware down at some point; hopefully not. So far every thing works great --no problems really. The volume is always an issue with these portable type dvd players. I have had several of these dvd players and the volume on them is pretty much the same. Also I have noticed that some dvd's play loader than others --I guess that's has to do with the maker of the dvd. All in all I would highly recommend Dr. Q 14.1 Dvd Player and I would buy it again. Great machine --I will say it again I areally love the size of the screen.

Great quality video quality, tad loud

Overall, we really like this portable DVD player. The screen is clear and bright, the speakers are loud and the sound quality is good. The controls and user interface make sense and are intuitive. I made a point to test the battery life to see how long it would last. We timed it, and it lasted a little over 6 hours which is pretty great, as I did a lot of research before I selected a DVD player, and most lasted in the range of 3 to 5 hours, but unfortunately this one did not last the 7 hours as advertised. We wanted to use this in our van for our kids to watch movies on long road trips, hopefully setting it on the center console between the front two seats so they could watch in the back. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit there, but I guess that's what you get with a nice big 14" screen. The only real negative is that the motor that spins the dvd is a bit loud, but I guess that's not too big of a deal. Overall, we think this is a really nice DVD player for the price.

Excellent quality and HUGE!

This thing is huge! I've only ever used 7-9 in. portable DVD players. I love this because my daughters can all see the screen perfectly no matter where they sit in the car. Very sturdy and excellent quality.

Quality and Customer Satisfaction Guaranteed!

I was looking for a player with HD quality and found it in this little gem! For the price, it is a solid performer. This is my second device in a week or so - the first one I received had an issue with the screen - It was severely impacted by goo from the screen protecting sheet. When I removed it the screen was smeared over the top 1/3, bottom 1/3 and a bit in the middle - made viewing extremely difficult and unpleasant. I contacted the seller who responded with in minutes with a few questions. I took a few pictures to demonstrate the problem and with in a day or so a replacement was on it’s way to me. I received the replacement this afternoon. I timidly removed the screen film with much success! No damaged screen. The picture is crystal clear, the sound is good and I don’t experience any noise (whirring) that one or two purchasers alluded to. This player is of very nice quality. I can’t say enough about the seller. Her commitment to providing her customers with a positive experience is amazing in a world where customer service is for the most part non-existent.

Absolutely everything is great with this DVD player.

The past 2 years we have been through 4 portable DVD players that has cost double the amount or more of this one. All have failed. The components inside of them were cheap the screen color was horrible the volume was uncontrollable. They were all dbpower. Please avoid those products. The costumer service was horrible as well. I only got refunded once from them. Now let's talk about DR.Q..... completely satisfied the DVDs that skipped before in the other portable DVD players (dbpower products) don't skip in this one. Which makes my daughter very happy. The color is HD quality it's wonderful. Volume great not too loud not to soft. Batteries hold great charge. Pretty simple to figure out controls. Wires are really long which is great if you want to charge and watch the DVD player at the same time. Really the only thing I can't figure out is how to stop the dvd to change it out. The only way I have found for it to stop spinning is to turn it off. Which is not a big deal at all. Prevents the DVD from getting scratched. You do have to play around with the color contrast a little to figure out what's going to be best for the DVD but that's with any the or DVD player. I would say if someone had poor eyesight the remote may be a bit hard to read because of the blue buttons with black print but I have no problem see them. If I could give this product a higher review I would due to quality and the price. If you're sceptical about it don't be try it. Wish I would have found this sooner. Would have saved me money and headaches. Thank you for a great product. I normally don't write reviews but I felt this product deserves it.

Great for kids

We needed a new DVD player for road trips but I didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg. Bought this one and it works great. We used it this weekend. I love that it’s laptop sized so big enough for both kids to see it. Picture was good.

Great customer service!

Great product! We had trouble with the first one holding a charge in the battery and it will only work with the power cord still plugged in. I contacted the seller and Richard made it all right but sending a brand new player and accessories for it. Free of charge. That is great customer service! Will recommend again.

Amended review

My first review was 2 stars and poor quality. While the quality of this particular DVD player was lacking, the customer service was not. Linda reached out to me immediately after I submitted my review and kindly offered to replace or refund the player. I rarely see that kind of customer care. I opted for the refund, but I have to think that with this kind of commitment to their product and their customers, that the replacement player would have worked just fine.

So far, so perfect!

Only had it for a few days but I'm already in love. First thing I tried was an R4 DVD and Yay! Success! Picture is great, the machine itself is not too loud as to interfere with the sound, which ideally would go a little louder but it's really enough for my purposes since it'll never need to play in a car. Coming off an 11" that had died after 3 years of what I suppose is normal use (3 to 4 times a week), the screen size sure is a bonus!
