Monarch house

I bought this to try raising monarch caterpillars. Worked great the mesh was fine enough for even newly hatched caterpillars and allowed adequate air flow.

My Mantises fit very well in these enclosures for the rest of their lives. With the mesh surrounding it, it is very easy for the Mantises to molt. Thank you.

Moths too

I have a bug fanatic.....this was the greatest addition to our home. It has become a bug hotel. Cotton balls soaked in sugar water and we are watching those little tongues unroll for free food!!! The clear plastic viewing side was a definite positive!!!! Love it.

For the 'Wondering 1st Time Bug Enthusiast' ----- there is NO BETTER!!!! The only small habitat I could find with a HANDLE for CARRYING/RELEASE! Fits inside the house without taking up any room!! Approx 11.5" high....... 11.5" up, down, sideways!!! Purchased for my very 1st two praying mantis egg cases. Worked beyond perfection. EggCase #1 produced approx 150 babies...... and all had room to climb around and not get into each other's way -----hence preventing them from eating one another (kept 24-32 hrs before release into garden). This puppy R-O-C-K-S!!!!!! I would recommend to any teacher, any individual in a FLEETING moment! Handle allows to be carries for release, or to-from school, or just to share with friends!! AND FOLKS of all sorts just love seeing what's inside!*!*!*!* It's an attention-getter beyond all (oh no, expect curiosity to abound should you be walking with this, even for release)!!!! I had 5 adults & 8 children ALL wonder&ask what's inside!!!!! All in all..... PERFECT for my egg clutch of Praying Mantis Hatching & Release. Not to mention that air breathability & 'fine misting' works beyond fabulous in this puppy..... I just may keep this in mind for xmas gifts with a bug egg or two :) At mid 50 yrs old......... A perfect bug getaway

Just what we needed to raise caterpillars, give the kids a great view from all sides, and not be totally big and invasive. Stitching seems to be holding up along zipper and kids love the carry handle at top.

Great for kids to see caterpillars turn to butteries

We suggest putting a paper plate in the bottom. It helped with cleaning up after the caterpillars if you know what I mean before they started their chrysalis. Other then that the kids love checking on them everyday and the mesh and plastic screen make that easy and fun for them.

Durable, holds up to bleaching, have a handle unlike most smaller cages

Great small cages. When it's going to rain, I put instar 5 Monarch caterpillars from my garden in them so they can j-hang and make their chrysalis out of the weather. These actually work better than the larger cages because their milkweed is always close by. I use 1 for 5 cats. I really like these cages. They'd be great to isolate a sick caterpillar too.
