I really liked this back pack and let's be honest, it wasn't something I saw myself as really thinking I would get excited over but after using it for a few days and seeing the work put into it, I can definitely say I'm really glad I came across it. First of all, it has pockets everywhere. In the lumbar area outside the backpack, the normal area in front of it, plus pockets inside, it's great! There is a padded sleeve area for a laptop as well as a few vertical areas on that padding for miscellaneous carrying. The material is thin but not at the expense of feeling cheap. It feels well made. So much so that even the clasp they use around the main compartment is sturdy and holds together well. The added bonus is it having a USB port just outside connected to an internal cable. Those vertical areas I talked about earlier; well the one closest to this port area is PERFECT for the back up battery pack I have; most standard size ones would be. It's also got a hole for a headphone jack; basically everything you need to stay connected on the go. It's got a classy look to it and goes with anything. For the modern professional, this back pack is it and is an extremely good value.

This bag is exactly what I was looking for in size, durability and storage. I didn't want a backpack that was too bulky with 100 different pockets for storage. If that's what you need this is not for you. I was looking for something small yet still had plenty of space for storage. There are two compartments inside, the larger area has enough room for books or clothes depending on your needs. The second inner pocket that is meant for your laptop is pretty large with enough room for my 15 inch HP laptop. It is also well padded, though for extra protection I'd recommend using an extra padded case for your laptop. The outside pocket has enough room to hold a decent sized pencil case, terabyte drive, snack bar... you name it. I appreciate that the backpack keeps it's shape. And the zippers allow for easy access to your contents. I previously purchased another backpack that though it was roomy the opening was so small it was a struggle to get my things inside. I have not tested out the water resistant material but it looks legit. The USB charging port and headphone slots are a bonus if that is a necessity for you. Personally I don't get much use out of them but it is not in my way. There is also a pocket for a battery bank, and 3 other pockets on the inside flap. The 2 outer pockets are big enough for your smartphone or MP3 player (do people still use those?) and the middle slot for pens or markers. The 2 side pockets on either side of the pack are small but it does well to hold my 17oz Mira bottle. I am not sure how you'd do with a bigger size but this is sufficient for me. I use one side for my water bottle and the other holds my small Tote umbrella. The straps of the pack is comfortable enough and supports the weight of a fully loaded pack pretty well. I am looking forward to using this as an overnight bag for my 2-day weekend trip with a friend. For the price, this is an incredible deal and a good buy.

I’m a huge fan of the XDesign backpack! It is super durable & yet still lightweight. It’s features really scream “college student” but I have found that it makes the PERFECT diaper bag! My son is 10 & has special needs so I have to carry a lot with me on a daily basis. This bag fits diapers, wipes, extra large changing pad, two complete changes of clothes, extra pair of shoes, his favorite electronics and toys, anything my 7 year old wants to bring, as well as my wallet and phone. I don’t have to worry about the bag getting wet because it’s water resistant. And my favorite feature, a USB port, yes please!! I am able to put my battery pack on the inside and charge my phone in the outer pocket so it’s easily accessible. I use this bag nearly every day and couldn’t be happier with it! For the price, it’s a steal. If you think you might need it, get it! Would recommend to everyone!

Upon receiving this backpack, I was rather surprised by the quality of it. For such a low price, it is actually a good quality backpack. It is sleek, modern, and isn't bulky-looking. However, there is a good amount of room inside. There are several small pockets inside for pens, etc. though they aren't very deep. The laptop compartment is padded. I do agree with other reviews that say more padding would be nicer. However, I think it's fine enough for everyday use unless you like to throw your bag down when your laptop is in it! I was able to fit my 13 inch MacBook in the laptop compartment with no issue so I'm sure a larger laptop will do so easily. The zippered pocket on the front of the bag is spacious. There are no additional compartments. My favorite feature is the additional zippered pocket on the lower portion of the back of the bag. You can easily hide your valuables in there without it being easily accessed by others (i.e., when traveling, commuting, etc.). There is also a strap that will let you slide the backpack onto your luggage handle so that's a nice touch. There are two side pockets for water bottles. I do wish they had zippers though so I could store smaller items in there. The straps are lightly padded. Overall, I do recommend this backpack. It has many features that one could find very useful in everyday life, school, travel, etc. For the price, it is a bargain that cannot be missed!

So I've had this backpack a few weeks now. I use it for work travel, regular day-to-day, and even used it on a short hike. The backpack is reliable and sturdy. The stitching is high quality and the fabric is thick and durable. The backpack is loaded with a bunch of features I didn't need but immediately made use of because they are there. In other words, the extras are actually useful. Also, the price of this product is just unbeatable. The front zipper pouch is similar to what you would get with one of those old JanSport backpacks. But this one is bigger - meaning my sunglasses case fits in the pouch with room to spare for tons of other stuff. It has two side pockets for water bottles. They are not elastic, but they are small and tight and will fit and hold water bottles very well. There's a cool buckle coming down from the top center of the back that I guess you can slide things under, maybe a yoga mat or the like, or just to ensure the bag stays closed if you've overpacked it. Inside the main section comes built with pen holders, mouse pocket etc. Lots of storage pockets. Also there is a headphone jack hole on the side of the bag which is very convenient. It even has a USB charging port that you can hook up from inside the bag in case you need to charge your phone or do whatever else you want with a USB port. Additionally, it has a separate section to slide your laptop into with a lot of nice soft padding for protection. There is a zipper pocket inside too where you can throw keys, USB sticks,or other small more important items. On the back side you have the straps. Adjustable and really soft padding as you would expect. There's a cloth strap running across the back where I suppose you could throw a skateboard or something if you're into that. But my favorite part is the zipper pouch on the back side. It's too bad they don't show more pictures on the amazon page because you wouldn't know this even existed and I almost miss it with the backpack in my hands. When hiking, I didn't have a great place to put my phone, the zipper pocket runs across the backside of the bag near the bottom was perfect. It is foam protected, so even though I was climbing on rocks and throwing the bag down quite often, I had no worries that my phone was totally protected. Don't get me wrong, this is a 'basic' style backpack. It's only got the two compartments - main section (split into main compartment and a laptop pouch) and front pouch, but it is just loaded with useful extras and is surprising efficient and large inside while small footprint outside. Really enjoy this item.

I just received the XDesign Travel Laptop Backpack a few days ago. I noticed right away when I opened the shipping box that this was a well-made backpack. It is lightweight and well padded. The stitching is strong and finished. I love all the compartments. I was able to place my Surface & Thinkpad laptops within the divided main compartment. The divider is padded too. I placed both cables and power supplies in the front pocket. My portable charger fit in the pocket holding the external USB port. Have a larger portable charger, that's okay as it will fit in one of the inner pockets & still reach the external USB port. Also had my cellphone in one of the inner pockets. One of my photos shows that all of this only raised the depth by 5". I didn't overload it for my first couple of uses, but I expect it will handle it all. The side pockets are perfect for water bottles. Wires fit easily thru the headphone slot. The luggage strap is ample and slides effortlessly over the luggage telescoping handle. The front buckle is awkward as it clanks around when you open the backpack, but I get it, it's supposed to provide extra security. The zippers appear to be very strong as the weight of the laptops didn't pull them apart. The zipper pulls are well made, comfortable & easy to use. I did pour some water onto the backpack to test the water resistant feature. The water beaded right up. I let the water sit there for a least 1 hour before wiping it off. The backpack was dry inside & out. The color is kind of a blah, but I like it. It's a neutral color, but goes with everything. I'm very happy with this backpack & highly recommend it.

Been looking for a packpack to hold my laptop and possibly iPad and other items. Came across this backpark and I am very impressed. The material of the backpack is pretty thick, I can expect this to go through some abuse. Description claims this is waterproof but I never tried. it has a "lock" in the front, you need to use some force to open it which serves its purpose. One thing I really like about this backpack is all the partitions. As you can see in the picture, the laptop goes to the back of the backpack and there is a strap to hold it in place. You can also fit the iPad in there. There are other partitions where you can put pens, rechargeable battery, and other items. I love that in the back side of the backpack, at the bottom, there is another zipper holder where you can store your valuables like passport (hard for other people to see and closest to your body). On the side of the backpack there is a hole where you can fit earphone lines through (if you store your device inside), I expect this to be less popular soon since people are going wireless. Below the hold is the USB charging port, where inside is another attached cable that you can connect to the rechargeable battery. There are also side pockets on each side of the backpack where you can store bottle of water, that's another plus (especially if the backpack is waterproof). Overall for the price, I am really happy with this backpack! Definitely will be using this a lot when I travel!

This product is a decent construct for the price, I grabbed this to use as a spare backpack for short trips to see my family and I think it'll be fine. I only own an 11" MacBook air so it fit with plenty of space, I'm sure my laptop would fit in a fannie pack too if I let it. But there's plenty of room for a day's worth of clothes, extra pocket on the outside for charger cords etc. Inside there is a hidden pocket for my wallet which requires you to open it to get to, or use the hidden pouch that's located by your lower back, this one has a zippered pocket that will hold a phone and wallet easily. Not too fond of the clasp they choose to use because it's not very smooth to use, I prefer the clasp on my Tumi, but that's like $175 so I can't say I was expecting too much there. I'll have to see how well this backpack holds up in the long run, but this will rotate with my Tumi as the Tumi is a smaller one so I use that one as my daily driver bag.

This is a good backpack for carrying your computer and all its accessories. The pack is fairly waterproof, with a nice flap over the 2 outside zippers to keep the water from getting in. It has a number of functional pockets. Inside is a large padded pocket to hold your computer. It has a strap to keep it from moving around. My 13 inch laptop fit in easily. The main inner compartment has 2 pencil slots and 2 larger slots for cell phone or accessories. That compartment expands and can hold books, a light jacket, or computer accessories. There is a hole from inside to out for the earphone wires to pass through. Best of all is a compartment to hold a charging battery which has its own cable. So you can charge your device without taking out the battery block. Outside are comfortable padded adjustable straps, an elastic strap for attaching the pack to the handle of your suitcase when traveling, and 2 water bottle pockets. Unfortunately these pockets do not have elastic which would have been useful to hold the bottle more firmly. There are 2 quick access pockets on the outside. One outside zipper pocket in the back, that can’t be seen when you are wearing it, for valuables to be kept close to your body. And there is a large zippered pocket in front to hold cables, and other accessories. A clip closure on top adds security. Cons: I wish there were other color choices. Gray may show dirt easily and is kind of boring. I do not especially like the feel of the material. This pack is nice for carrying just your computer and accessories. It would not meet my travel needs for a regular trip. I would need more space to accommodate a change of clothes, light jacket or sweater, food, umbrella, inflatable pillow, toiletries, etc. And it is too large for a day hike. But it is good value for the price.

Pros: - It's designed to be anytime theft. - the is a secret pocket in the back of the back pack, thus, it locates between backpack and your back. - there is a hook to lock one of three front - the inside pocket is on the back side which makes it more secured. - it has a USB cable outside the backpack allow you to plug in your devices to a power bank inside the backpack. Cons: - the material is not the most comfortable. - the strap design could be more comfortable. - would appreciate a more modern design. It's just looks like a regular backpack.
