Exactly what I needed

I bought the 3 panel gate. This is perfect for my needs. I just adopted a blind Shih Tzu from the Humane Soc. three weeks ago. This fits all my requirements: step over height, easy swing/slide panels, simple to move where needed, light weight, attractive, folds neatly even one handed. Max was blind from birth so he knows how to maneuver with caution. When he bumps into furniture, he does not try to shove forward or try to get around - so far anyway. I set it up and he stays behind it. I put a low wood stool at one end and the cat goes thru there while Max does not. As I listed, it is step over barrier but as I am a senior lady I find gently swinging an end panel like a door works better for me. Excellent, smooth working hinges allow this with no problem. If I had to give a con it would be the dark color that makes it less easy to see in a dark area. I am learning to be more cautious like Max. Highly recommended product!

Substantial & Impressive!

I bought this barrier to help confine my small-breed puppy during potty training. Since I am mobility impaired and have a weak "pinch-grasp", I needed something I could be certain (by looking at it online) was easily manipulated. With its sturdy design, hinged panels that "accordion" into folds simply by pulling on one of the panels, and the ease by which it slides across my Berber carpet, this product fits the bill perfectly! What I didn't expect was how substantial and attractive it is in real life! Well done! There are a few pieces of information which should be underscored for prospective buyers, though. The barrier has no latch or handle, and no means of being attached to a wall or doorway. Neither does it stand on its own IF straightened flat out to its full length. If you need the full length, the ends must be tucked between heavy objects, such as furniture and walls. (I do need the full length: I have one end squeezed between the sofa and a wall, and the other end loosely tucked between a shelving unit and a dining chair. When I need to open the barrier, I just grab the loose end and pull it back into one or two folds, which stand open on their own just fine.) I do feel the online description should caution the buyer to set up the barrier in such a way that the hinges which connect the panels are not on the same side as their baby or puppy, whose fingers or paws might get caught in a hinge as you try to pull aside a panel. Finally, as sturdy as this barrier is (and it really is), it is my personal opinion that using it to confine a fully mobile toddler will be dicey unless you brace the ends between heavy objects as described above.

Nice and heavy! Dogs can’t knock it over. Great quality. Comes fully assembled, which was a huge relief. I did not want to have to assemble it while dealing with a new puppy. Just open the box and it’s ready to go.

I love this pet gate !

This is absolutely perfect for what I needed. We have a wider than normal opening into our living room. We needed something to keep our dog out of the LR at night, as she likes to go in and get on sofas. This fits our needs exactly, we can fold up and move easily during the day, and bring back out at night. I love the white finish and arches, pretty enough to leave out all the time. I would not try stepping over, but I am only 5'3", someone taller might not have a problem.

Excellent product

Extremely pleased with the quality and weight of this product. I did purchase the feet to keep it stable but I really don't think they are needed. I may change my mind when my "granddogs" (2 german sherphards) arrive for a a visit! If you are looking for something with style, well built this is the gate. The price was well worth the product.

Very Happy With This Purchase

Purchased this to prevent my dog from getting to the Christmas tree. Works like a charm & looks nice too. My tree is in my living room so it was important to me that it looked nice & wasn't some cheapo wire thing. Worth spending more on it. Solid product with some weight to it. I recommend this product.

easy to maneuver

great fence .....We can move it anywhere no putting holes on the wall, great with small pets, kids? not so sure as kids can push open and all , but great for pets, we have stairs and cannot take a chance for the puppy to fall over , we use one end as a door to go to the mud room and laundry room.....it matches our furniture so we got the brown one,,,,, very solid and we put felt under so when we slide open one end, it does not scratch the wood floor, although it always had rubber thingy under....VERY HAPPY

Exactly what I needed

I needed a barrier between my dining room and living room but didn't want to install hardware or have ugly metal or plastic. This is an attractive wood barrier that fits the space well. It's about a 72" opening and the 4 panel fits nicely with a slight zig zag so it can stand on its own. There are many reviews knocking the quality. My initial impression is that it's well built and doesn't seem rickety or likely to come apart. I don't intend to move it much so that may make the difference. It is fairly heavy since it's wood so if you want 1 barrier to constantly move around the house, I'd reccomend the metal or plastic kind.

Sturdy Gate - Does the Job!

We couldn’t get this gate fast enough. We are steadfastly puppy proofing our house and just love this gate. First of all, it does not require any attachment or wall mount to be secure. It is steady, heavy and sturdy. Using the “accordion” design, you can simply place this where you want and with a simple bend in the panels; your gate needs no installation. When we want to pass down the hall, we only have to bend back one panel. No opening of a gate door needed. We chose the wood stain color, because white doesn’t match our decor. We only wish we had ordered it a long time ago.

Nice looking and has been working well!

I got this gate when my cat put on a couple of pounds and stopped being able to jump up onto the high counter (where I fed the cats) without scratching the cabinet with her back legs as she jumped. I have a sneaky dog who will help herself to the free feed cat food (sooooo much more delicious than the free feed dog food that she has) if there's no barrier to tell her that it's off limits. This gate was a great size to separate off a small area off my kitchen to become the cat food area without changing the look of my kitchen. So far, the dog has completely obeyed the gate (she's a Great Pyrenees mix so so could totally jump or knock over the gate if she really wanted to) and the cats can slip in on the outside. Most importantly, my poor cabinets are no longer being scratched!
