I ordered three sets of these wine racks and stacked them. All received with zero shipping damage and all received with 100% of the parts. I was surprised at the very high quality and precision of all the parts. I did take the advise of other reviewers and assembled them with a rubber mallet to ease assembly. Not because parts didn’t fit, it was because everything was such a perfect fit with no slop. I stained all the pieces first before assembling and they look great. I did anchor the stack of three wine racks to the wall because it is so high. These were a great buy for the money and my wife loves her wall of wine!

I bought this rack for my wife's wine down in the basement. We used to keep the wine in the case boxes. Not only is this convenient, it totally classed up the unfinished area of the basement, which is next to a fake palm and a mini refrigerator. Very happy.

I bought one and liked it so much I bought another one. It's very sturdy and easy to put together. The notches are deep so it's together, I used a rubber mallet to pound it together (gently). Some pinot noir bottles fit, but not larger bottom ones and champagne bottles don't fit except on the top; so I moved mine to another rack. I love it and would definitely recommend.

needed something to put the wine that we have, and looking at all the other reviews and looking at the prices, this was the best product for the price, and easy to build, and fits in a nice corner with all the wine stacked up. a definite recommend

It was fine out of the box. I took a week and stained it before putting it together (a matter of minutes) and loading it with the wine that's been stored in cardboard boxes in the pantry for years. Now the wine is visible, organized, accessible easy to get to and in one place. You could stack two of these and store nearly 150 bottles of wine in a space less than 5 feet by 5 feet about 15 inches deep. Customer service was excellent--I had to adjust shipping times to manage delivery schedules. Smartxchoices responded immediately, accommodated change, advised me of the status, ship date, and tracking. I was confident throughout that the change had been made and managed. Arrived on time and as offered. It is a great product for the price -- workmanship is very good, it was vacuumed before shipping as their was minimal dust -- difficult for a fresh pine sawed product. The wood cuts were well groomed, the fits perfect--no wabble or situations where you had to pound the pieces together or sand or rasp an opening to get it to fit. Very functional. A great addition.

Nice design. easy to put together. I would say for you to get some liquid nails to pipe into each joint as you "build" it. If you are making it smaller than its made for, or turning it into two separate units, remember: the top wooden rail is only 1 set of 2, not four.

Easy to assemble, joints were tight, very sturdy unit. I read some reviews about using wood glue, I assure you this unit does not need glue. A few quick taps with a wooden mallet and this was together in less than 15 minutes

Compared to the standard wine rack, that requires juggling Allen keys, metal rods and parts that don't often align with a non rigid structure (while in assembly mode), this rack snaps together with a level of Lego like precision and speed. Just a smack of the mallet for some of the tighter Lincoln log style joints. Its basic pine (but fairly knot free), so not going to win awards for elegance - but top notch for my basement wine storage. Someday I may add a spot of stain/dye to dress up - but have a lot more pressing projects on the list right now. Only down side are that the semi circular "holes" for the bottles are standardized on the classic cab/merlot/claret bottle. Works for most Pinots/Chards style too, unless the bottle is extra thick - but for most sparkling wines, I need to balance these at an angle somewhat precariously on the top shelf. When I've time will custom cut a couple of Home Depot 2x4s to match, with slightly wider holes. (Or just drink my bubbly faster). in assembly, one of the risers cracked slightly (I could have been rushing assembly but more likely seasonal wood movement made for an over tight fit.) I just injected a bit of hot glue and used it at the top level where it would have less load. No drama. Perfect for my needs, would rather spend more on wine than on racking. Cheers!

This was a great investment for my home wine brewing. It arrived faster than expected and in good condition. The wood used did not seem cheap as other reviewers had said. It was really simple to put together it literally took me less than 5 minutes to put up. Its sturdy once it was all assembled and with the key and tab construction it will only get stronger the more I fill it with wine. I plan on staining this a dark wood finish, and I love that this wine rack comes un finished so I can match my furnishings. I will definitely be getting more!

Very easy to assemble. I did use a rubber mallet to gently pound the pieces together. Took maybe 15 minutes to put together. I thought about staining it first, but it isn't in a location where it will be seen with any regularity. Very sturdy, I currently have it filled to the max. I guess that means I need another one.
