So my buddy and I were taking a trip to the dunes, and he had just gotten brand new tires on his truck two days before we left so we thought we were golden! (He has a 2007 F350 king ranch with that 6 blow engine with a fresh rebuild he had done himself) so we were on our way 3 hours into our 4 hour trip now this truck puts out about 550 ponies easy, we are pulling my enclosed cargo trailer with a side by side in it so the trailer and cargo weigh about 4500 lbs and we have a dirt bike in the bed of the truck. We are on a windy road and we came around a bend and there was a fallen over tree in the road ( we determined that with the speed limit and being unable to move the tree or chop it up for lack of a chain saw that we should just drive over it because if we didn’t keep Moving a car coming around the bend would undoubtedly smoke us, and with and brand new trailer, side by side and truck that can pull a house off a foundation and still smoke a brand new 6.7 off the line) we decide to drive over the tree we though no problem it isn’t that big. As soon we drove over the tree it sounded like we were dragging a branch because we heard wshhhh sound. But the sound went away, but then the truck started pulling to the right, so I stuck my head out and told my buddy/best friend/god father of my children the right front tire is smoked. So we are on a windy road he pulls us off the side in the only spot come to find out for like 10 miles that we could have fit in with that sweet truck and trailer and were now faced with a blown tire no jack and on an unsafe part of a windy highway. In our planning for the trip the only thing we didn’t have was a jack and yes I know how bright it was if us to forget a jack but we could have jacked it anyway because we were on such an uneven surface and the axle was so close to ground. So we are racking our brains about forgetting a jack and trying to flag cars down with no luck they could have pulled over anyway there was no room, and to top it off no service. But I remembers I had this kit in my side by side l, so after locating the 1 inch gash in the side wall of his brand new tire we thought we were f******d but I pulled this kit out packed about 5 of those rubber strings and aired the tire and and we were out of there. These things held a truck and twirler grossing well over 12000lbs with 550 horses over 800 foot lbs on torque to the wheels for about 30 miles before they popped out and I just did the same thing again and drive for another 20 miles to our destination. So patching the side wall of a tire with a 1 inch gash on a truck well over 12000 pounds with the 6.0 engine with sct wire on a hot tune these suckers helt. Those things were in the tighter than my waist on my work pants and those buttons are screaming!!!! So if you any reservations about spending the $25 on this kit just buy it and pack those holes tight and if you think another one can fit STUFF it in there!!!! This thing is awesome! Get yourself a little air compressor too!

I bought this kit after having to take my car to the tire shop to fix a small puncture, seemed like something I should be able to take care of myself! Also I thought this would be a great thing to have on long road trips, especially to places where help may not be as available. Everything in this kit seems to be of reasonable quality, with exception of the "utility knife" which is for cutting off the excess plug material once it has been inserted into the tire...it is rather flimsy but will probably get the job done. Most folks who are buying a kit like this likely have another knife on hand anyway. Also I'm glad that a pair of gloves are included, a good bonus!

Been plugging my flats for bout 25yrs now. Once you know how to,and hole is not into side wall, plugging is easier, quicker, than swapping in that useless "Doughnut" our Cars and even SUV's have these days! Kit just arrived, and after looking through it, can say it is well stocked. Prep tool and inserter are all metal and heavy-duty! No doubt a mechanic of some sort designed this kit. It's got ALL you will need and then some to get you under way. Of course you'll need to have an air pump! Have also a sm bottle of a water/soap solution so to maybe first find your leak and then to check that the new plug is holding!

I've been plugging tires for years. This is a good quality product. People writing one stars. Just don't know how to use the product. 1- Remove whats causing the tire to leak. 2-Use the reamer. Work it in and out of the tire. This is a very important step. (If you don't. Your tool or the plug will break when you try to install it.) 3-Put plug in tool. ADD lube to the plug 4-Install plug and trim excess off. 5-Fill tire and your good to go PLEASE NOTE-No plug of any kind is suppose to be used on the side walls. Or within an inch of the tread shoulder. If you need to do this. Make sure its only a temporary fix and get a new tire ASAP. Or a tube installed if possible.

More than a few auto manufacturers are no longer including spare tires, opting to include roadside kits consisting of a small compressor , and "tire slime" sealant in an effort to save space and weight. That method is potentially messy, requires extra labor by the repair shop to clean the inside of the tire, and may not be effective enough to get you to a repair shop. Hence our search for a plug-type repair tool kit that would provide a better solution for temporary repairs, This kit provides all the necessary tools (minus a compressor, which the auto mfg usually provides) and is of much higher quality than many other kits we've seen while at an affordable price. While we don't look forward to the time we may actually need it, is is comforting to know we have it available. PS: That's our new family member. Great car, but no spare!

This is how you shall do it 1. figure out which tire got the leak 2. position the tire to a position relatively easy to work on 3. remove the nail 4. use the reamer in the kit, stick into the nail hole, to widen the hole. You shall put at least half length of the probe into the tire. As it needs to penetrate the steel wire layer of the tire, it requires a lot force. 5. use the insert tool (without the tire string) to test the hold. It shall be big enough for the insert tool to go in, and deep enough to at least half of the length of the tip 6. put lubricant on the tip of the insert tool, go through the hole again 7. place the tire string onto the insert tool, apply lubricant again 8. insert the tool into the hole all the way----this step requires REALLY A LOT force 9. use the round piece on the insert tool to hold the tire string onto tire to prevent it being pulled out 10. quickly pull out of the insert tool, tire string shall be left inside the tire with a little bit left outside 11. pump the tire to desired pressure 12. test if any leak using soap water

AUTOWN Tire Repair Kit, 75 Pcs Tire Plug Kit Universal Tire Repair Tools So this is just a cheap version of the name brand kits, it has a copy of everything ARB or similar big dollar kits have and it is a complete tire repair kit. I had an occasion to use it recently and every tool and part played its role perfectly. I had everything I needed to plug the tire without removing it or spending any excessive time or effort. Easy to use, comfortable, and every bit as good as the high dollar kits. Worth it. The only thing I would change is that I would replace the included pliers with a set of straight pullers instead, but at least it comes with pliers where some others don't. Win.

I just recieved my tire repair kit this morning, and a big shout out to Amazon for bumping me up to 1 day delivery from the standard 2 day. I used it right away, and it was a text book repair. Old school quality tool, all steel handle! Not plastic. I told my daughter when the tire repair kit arrives, it won't take any longer than 20 minutes to fix, in which my daughter replied, I'll bet you a $100 it takes longer. So it was on, we shook on it and as she turned away " it must be at the exact pressure on the side of the tire or you lose ". She's smart! But I'm old and experienced, and I've been plugging tires for 45 years, had it done in 17 minutes but I was sure sweating the full pressure thing. The way I look at, I got a great quality tire repair kit, my daughter learned a valuable life lesson, I won a $100 bet, won a $10.00 Amazon scratch off, got a great price on the item. So I'm up like $85.00 and a free plug kit to boot. Now that's a great day!

Completely Organized Kit! Plenty of repair plugs. Extra for friends, family while having enough for your own repair. Great emergency kit to get you back up and running and not stranded. You don't need it, do it yourself in minutes with this well organized title repair kit. Well stocked with what you'll need. Bought two, one for each vehicle. Don't get caught without one. Quick, easy, effective!

My family has a favorite auto mechanic whose workshop is located very close to our home. One day we decided to buy him this Tire Repair Kit and it turned to be a perfect gift for him, he said. He told us that he would use this repair kit as a spare set to actually fix a flat tire of his customers' cars due to non-deep punctures if his regular tools were not available to use. He was so happy to know that the repair kit set came in a sturdy plastic storage box that kept everything inside organized. He also found everything as described on the product's list (we printed the list from the Amazon product's page) inside the storage box. Nothing was missing, which was great to know. In addition, he trained me on how to use the repair kit tools properly and suggested me have a portable air pump in my car as well. Overall, my family has taken his advice into consideration and planned to buy another one of this tire repair kit set for ourselves, just in case we need it.
