With more and more laptops being manufactured without cd/dvd drives these are a life saver. Does what it’s designed to do. Great price.

Good drive does what you expect

Does exactly what a built in drive does plays and burns CDs and DVDs not much else to be said except the design textured on top is nice. Would recommend for rom dumping old games and playing ps2 games on your PC using an emulator as that's what I've been doing. But also have tested it with things like: booting into an os disc, backups, and watching old movies on DVDs and has worked fine. Also can comfirm it's detected by BIOS and Linux just fine.

Why Get Anything Different?...

: No joke, does EVERYTHING any computer CD drive would do. My car has no bluetooth right now so I started busting CDs... as I went back to my old collection I found so many artists I had forgotten that I admire. It was glorious. Completely silent, even when burning a CD or DVD. Imports the moment you tell it too. I honestly cannot find one thing to complain about. Thank you, Roman.

Connected to a dell xps and done ready to use

Still going strong.

Pretty straight forward. Plug and play. I just connected it to the PC and Windows started to install the appropriate drivers. I'm using it almost daily to burn more than 3+ CD.

Great, inexpense Drive

This is a standard r/w drive. Short USB connection, permanently connected to the case. I've run this drive, without issues, reading and writing on my Mac mini. Recommended without reservation.

Highly recommend!!!

I absolutely adore this USB External DVD and CD drive! The drive works with my MacBook Air perfectly. During startup of the drive, you just need to press the ejection button and simply insert a CD/DVD and wait for your macbook to read the disk. Then, a CD icon should pop up on your desktop. If you're trying to sync CDs with iTunes, that is an even easier process! iTunes should automatically turn on and ask if you'd like to sync the CD. Once you've completed your usage of the disc, you click on the disc icon, go to "File" in the main menu on the top of the macbook, and scroll down to "eject disc". I considered this purchase a bargain, and I highly recommend. The outer packing is also excellent.

This external unit works great, it has been working 10 to 12 hours every day for almost one month without a problem.

Not all mistakes are bad ones

It wasn't at all what I expected. I wanted something to play a dvd on that hooked up to my computer amd found out that it's just a writer!! Do you think I am angry? Heavens no!! I just been making cd's saving pics and all that good stuff. If I keep making mistakes like this i will eventually end up with what I need and not what I want. I am happy about this mistaken purchase. Easy to use, simple and i am having fun with it!!

Easy to use

My laptop doesn't have a cd rom drive, but I needed to use one so this came in very handy. Easy to use.
