I am using this primarily for travel and, so far, it does what I need it to. It lets me know when it arrives to an airport. It takes a few minutes after a flight because (of TSA regulations) it goes to sleep on the flight and needs a few minutes to wake up. But it's nice to know that when i'm waiting and waiting for my luggage to come down the carousel that my bag is in the same city that i'm in. I set my home as a "safe zone" to test if it works, and it alerted me on the app when the gego left my home. Also, the app alerted me that the battery was low while I was on my trip, but you charge it by USB, so while i was in my hotel I just charged it before my next flight.

Its very easy to use and setup. I am using my GEGO to track my car. The app shows the exact position of your tracking device. I have it connected to my car so no problems of running out of batteries.

I purchased a GEGO after my suitcase failed to arrive on a BA flight Goa to Delhi to London. The suitcase has never arrived. I have used a couple of times flying to the Canaries and found it to be comforting that my case was beeping via Bluetooth so I knew it was on the aircraft. I purchased a second GEGO for my husbands case as we are travelling once again to India. The upside we will know if cases on on the aircraft. The downside if they aren’t there is not a lot we can do about it!

Tracking very precise and very fast. There are 4 settings and here is the battery life (after more than 10 flights) - normal 2/3 days if you move a lot, 3/5 days if you do not move a lot (car, bike...) VERY fast. - flight under 6 hours : very fast (5/10 minutes after touch down, so position before luggage on carrousel) battery life 3/4 days But OK (airline regulation) do its job better and faster than previous model. Had both models (gego and lugloc) on my luggage to check. - long flight : slower (10/30 minutes after touch down, once luggage before position) battery life 5/7 days. Lugloc was faster by a few minutes but in Europe. In the US, lugloc didn't worked (apparently no 2G antenna in the airport) - battery saving (?) Three to four weeks in a drawer ! No on/off switch. With an external battery, no autonomy problem. Overall a good product working everywhere in the world as it is no longer using 2G (Lugloc) but 3G Miss the on/off button. When the GEGO is not connected on an external battery, checking the battery level every few days is mandatory.

I was a user of LugLoc from the same company. It was handy when in Europe and abroad, but with decline of 2G data network in USA was not as useful. I recently upgraded to GEGO and purchased 2 of them. They worked very well for a all US trip (Seattle, Minneapolis, Philadelphia). Yes, due to safety (and FCC) concerns there is a delay after landing, but it still is reassuring to be able to check while you are waiting at baggage claim if your bag even made the connection. For example, on my last international trip when I arrived in Kiev, I could see my bag was still in Paris. I was able to be at front of the line ahead of chaos of all the other mis-routed bags. This particular airport will not deliver your international bag for at least 24 hours, so I was also able to see later that night that it made the later connection so I could make plans to go back to airport in the morning and get it sooner. There are monthly fees after the initial trial. If you sign up for a year, it's $70 a year I believe (as of Jan 2019) But, for me this is expected since it's a world wide mobile connected device. Some countries still charge a pretty hefty data roaming charge that needs to be taken into account. As more mobile carriers offer more internet of things (IOT) plans worldwide, I hope prices will get more competitive. Or perhaps offer plans that have USA/Canada/Mexico only or Europe, Asia, etc. I'd be fine signing up for a plan with different fees based on the country I expect to travel. One suggestion for pricing is that they should offer multi-device discounts.

The GEGO worked great for me for what I needed it for. I used it for a trip with (2) airports. As soon as I got to my own airport and checked in, I got a text ( on my Apple Watch) that my GEGO ( I renamed him Alex) was at the airport. I flew and soon as I got to the next airport, I got a text that “Alex” was at the same airport. When I got to my hotel, I got another text that “Alex” was there also. As for the battery, I take the cord with me and before I flew back, I plugged it in and I still got the text that Alex was coming home with me.

I enjoyed using my three GEGO devices on our recent international trip from California to Europe and the Middle East. The devices worked as expected - informing me of each landing. Also, in several of the flights, the proximity indicator showed that the luggage was on board during the flight and reported the distance of the luggage from my seat. The device remained functional for several days after each charge and battery life was never a problem. The device became particularly useful when there were unexpected changes to my flight plan. I was able to ascertain that my luggage was en route to the same place I was headed to. Please note that the device does not use GPS. I hope future generations will add GPS for better accuracy.

It’s great! Bought this to replace a Trakdot that no longer works due to 2G cellular service being discontinued. I wish I had switched long before. The GEGO works perfectly. The Bluetooth even works great. TD was always finicky in every way. The app is easy to use and has a better layout than Trakdot. The location updates happen when you’d expect them, unlike TD which was hit and miss. Rechargeable is very nice. GEGO also has 4 modes that vary how many times it checks in, which is so cool to be able to use them for more than just flights. TD only seemed to work on flights, never in the car. The map view is great, seems to be rather precise down to the exact spot. TD always seemed to be more of a region. It also has the option to link and open Apple Maps to give turn by turn directions to it. The app also immediately shows the battery percentage.
