Amazing for the price and works just as good as OEM!!! But here's my 2 cents... I'm a certified automotive mechanic and despite what most people are saying about theirs failing after a few miles/hundred miles. I race my car and also daily it, I have no issues what so ever after installing these puppies. The car has over 104K miles on the motor and its got every performance bolt on you can imagine! Once I got these I tested the continuity to make sure they were sound and proceeded to clean them first! That's right you need to clean off the preservative and then soak them in motor oil. I use 5w30... and before someone says anything, these motors are meant to run on 5w30. Ford uses 5w20 for MPG and CAFE standards so they aren't taxed as much due to federal emission regulations. Check them first, clean them, soak them for at least 30 mins in your motor oil of choice (mine was 5w30) I had them submerged all the way to about where the black connection is clipped into the head of the solenoid and I would periodically shake them and get as much bubbles out as possible. Then just leave them in their until you are ready to install. Sincerely Mr J

For a fraction of the cost of the box stores these are working great. I read reviews about the seals not fitting and seals blowing out. There are two sets of seals, use the one thats the proper size. I drive extremely hard and i cant see these blowing out.. Took care of my lack of performance and the diesel sound at idle after the truck was warm. One not to all, UNHOOK the battery prior to installation. 2006 Ford f150 with 5.4L Triton.

5.4 3valve superduty 5.4 3valve f150 Great product.. Better then factory! Even comes with a life time Warranty! Most vct's have plastic screens or bad from the get go cheaply made. These are a must if you have a 5.4 3 valve!

my 2004 FX4 5.4 3V has 245K miles, I bought it used last year just to take my boat to the lake so it's not my daily driver and wasn't so concerned with the mileage, also got it for pretty cheap since people don't like these triton engines, but I am mechanically inclined so wasn't too concerned if it needed a full timing job etc. Well we just took the truck on a 500 mile round trip and the engine was ticking pretty back on the drivers side, oil pressure is good, I have changed the oil twice in the 1 year of ownership so far and the transmission was whining when downshifting. I decided to change out the trans filter and replace 5 quarts trans fluid that the pan holds, that solved the whining issue then decided to see if the spark plugs I replaced when i bought the truck last year had come loose and was causing the tick. that was not the issue but I remembered I hadalready bought these solenoids and never installed them, I decided to replace just the driver side as that was still the original ford unit and the passenger side looked like it has been replaced fairly recently. I was surprised that when restarting the truck the ticking sound was GONE just from replacing the VCT solenoid so they are worth replacing before diving into a full cam phaser, timing job on these 5.4. I'm eventually going to do a full timing job, but not in a rush to do so now!

Both gaskets included. Unsure of how long it will last as this was to replace a broken one during a vct lockout kit. They filled the hole and gasket fit perfectly. Install is a 1 due to the pain it is to get the passenger cover off without removing ac line but not fault of the solenoid.

This kit saved me from spending the big bucks in comparison to buying motorcraft. It’s running no misfiring and it’s quiet as it should be. Only about 300 miles if anything goes wrong any time soon I will update the review.

Lasted a year. The seals were completely shot and broken. Good if you're short on cash, but you be buying again in a year.

Quality parts, truck has 20k+ miles since installed due to broken timing chain guides, I actually bought the cam phaser locks and used them on the oem phasers because they wouldn’t fit in these but I have no doubt the phasers included in this kit are quality products because I compared them side by side with little difference between. Would buy again

So far so good. I had it installed and they said the parts looked as good as the Ford parts if not better but time will tell. I hope they hold up and I’ll update more later. Update: parts are still holding up strong and truck is running good so far.

Product is great, arrived on time, it was exactly what I needed, definitely worth the money!
