YouTube has all sorts of comparison vids for this and other similar, competitive products. Be aware, some are just reading what each company says about their product, right off the box. There are handheld, smartphone, gimbals out there, that seem to have a lot more features. But under test, some of those fail to do what they say, or do so smoothly. So do your homework! This research was important for me to make the decision to end up with this model. I am a real estate photographer, and already own a dji Mavic Pro, and am part 107 certified. So, I am partial to DJI product quality. This Osmo product, works very smoothly, and is dependable, and quality built. Some reviewers have stated they wished it had a more solid build, with a rubber grip. Yeah, yeah, me too! But it's no game changer! The operation and output is what is important. When I use this, I never have any complaints! Actually, your smartphone is what makes the video quality! And that's the beauty of these gimbals! You can always upgrade your video quality by choosing a mo' betta phone. Also, I have a feeling, many will purchase one of these, with visions of great footage, yet not be prepared to learn how to use it properly. There is a slight learning curve, and software to install on your phone, and balancing to make the gimbal meld with your phone. If you've never done something like this, IT TAKES TIME, BUDDY! And also, you may not be the be the type of personality, to learn how to use a video editing program. But, if you are reading this, and thinking, "No Problem, I got this!" This DJI Osmo Mobile 2, is a solid video tool, that will make the most difference in the quality of your videos. Otherwise, I'm imagining many will purchase one of these, and reason, "I'll get to this another day, when I have a couple of free hours...", and it will end up in the closet! Aloha!

I use this all the time for my YouTube channel vCloudInfo. The face tracking options are really great and it is almost always balanced. Be aware that if you use an external mic, you will need to get a tsplitter (lightning adapter) as the grips cover up the ports. That's the biggest issue I have with it. But the solution was pretty easy but it does require more adapters and plugs which is meh.. I never use the case but all the little holders are whatnot are a cool little bonus.

Worked well with IPhone 8 Plus. The extra stand was a nice addition.

The kit includes a 12" tripod, and the Gimbal base... The prices difference on buying the gimbal and base separately vs in this kit, alone makes the kit worth the price. The tripod makes it a good value, and the other stuff, well... I may throw it out or keep it. But I've found my value. All of this predicated on whether or not the gimbal actually works when it gets here.

I bought a few gimbals for a project. The DJI is hands down the best. Battery life is great, you can even charge other devices from it. Super easy to use. You could hand it to anyone and they would have it figured out enough to shoot high quality video. This gimbal is also smaller than most other and fits in the hand well. If you’re shopping for a gimbal, this is the one to get.

Easy to setup and use. Does exactly what they say it does. Haven't had the chance to put it to full use in the field yet, but in initial testing at home, I like it. A friend recommended this, and he has had great results in using it on vacation videos. No bouncing images, looks like a professional camera operator with an expensive video rig did the job. It is plastic, and I read that previously it was made of some metal, but this unit is lightweight and seems to be durable for most use. Haven't had it long enough to comment on battery life, so I didn't check it.

I think it's a great product, but beware if you're going to use it with a Samsung Galaxy phone. The camera lens on the Galaxy phones (S7, S8, & S9) are lower than the iPhones. If you balance the Galaxy phone properly, parts of the gimbal can be seen and that will be in your pictures and videos. Not Good. The quick fix from DJI is to shift the phone (off balance) so the gimbal cannot be seen. This will cause the Osmo Mobile 2 gimbal stabilizer to work harder and will kill your battery faster. I don't see a problem with this fix, cause the battery life is estimated to be 15 hrs. This should have been a 5 star review, but I knocked it down to 4 stars, not because of the quick fix, more so because buyers should be informed of this known flaw for Samsung Galaxy phones. [Update: Just rebalance in new position, problem solved! DJI should include a stick-on plastic spacer for Samsungs.] Next item: this 'Must-Have Bundle" has already changed since I ordered, and I just received it today (2-day delivery). My bundle came with 4 ULTIMAXX products: 1) Backpack camera bag; 2) Microfiber Cleaning Cloth; 3) Osmo Mobile Base; and 4) 12" Gripster. I'm not sure why the Backpack camera bag was included; it's a good SLR camera bag, but worthless for this smartphone gimbal. I've already found the Mobile Base useful, and that Gripster tripod, probably less so. Either way, for about the same price as the DJI Osmo Mobile 2, the bundle was still worth it. The DJI Go app is easy to use, making this gimbal almost functional right out of the box. Note: there's a 2-hr battery charge before you get started, but that'll give you plenty of time to review all the YouTube videos on setup and usage, and you'll be up and running with it in no time. Not complicated, easy to use, definitely 5 stars if you own an iPhone.
