Ordered a couple boxes of these in May and started using them. In early December, four of the bulbs started occasionally blinking ... sometimes for a few seconds, sometimes for a few minutes. I contacted Great Eagle late one night with an email and a copy of my May Amazon invoice. By morning, I had my answer. Andy said the bulbs were likely damaged in transit, for me to buy two new boxes, and, once received, send them the order number. At that point, they would refund the new purchase price. I followed his instructions and had my new bulbs and refund in 2 days. New bulbs work perfectly. I'm super stoked about Great Eagle's fast, easy, and friendly customer. They really stand behind their products!!!

Better than expected. In fact, I liked them so much, I ordered 2 more boxes to replace additional lights throughout the house. My bathroom vanity has 8 in it... and holy cow, I now have the "mirror of truth". Maybe I'll go back to dimmer lights in my bathroom, only because I prefer the illusion that my hair just has a few extra highlights these days... no one likes to see that much truth first thing in the morning! Great for putting on makeup though. I'm also using these lights in my craft room and any areas around the house where I want extra bright lighting. Very good value and these things don't make any noise... at all. Nice to be rid of that incessant humming noise made by the curly type bulbs I had before.

Very good bulb with high output. Color temperature is also hard to find - it is not yellow and definitely not blue-daylight, its right between - I would say 3100-3200 K , bright white. Dimmable almost to zero with no flickering and buzzing. Really good bulb , time will tell about reliability.

These light bulbs are very good. I needed lights for my Art studio and although they state they are daylight they seem to have a very slight blueish tint, similar to fluorescence daylight bulbs. The Kelvin rating is 5000K and the brightness is 1600 lumens, the physical length is slightly longer than my previous lights, which makes the top of the bulbs stick out a little further than what I am accustomed to using, but I will buy these bulbs again, I know they are durable because the bulbs were packaged with my shipment of bird food, without any other packing except the box they were shipped in.

The bulbs give off the amount of warmth as well as brightness that I was looking for, as well as having the "instant on" aspect of LED bulbs. I ordered a pack of dimmable and a pack of non-dimmable bulbs and found that one bulb was broken when I opened the box. On advising Great Eagle of this fact I got an almost instant reply advising me that they were sending me a couple of replacement bulbs, one of each type. What great customer service. Definitely will buy again from Great Eagle when I need any more LED bulbs.

Never really put too much thought into bulbs or brightness until I got these. These are super bright and do the trick. We needed a little more lighting and boy did we get it. Sometimes we have to turn it off at night just to remind the kids it's night time and it's time to wind down. No, seriously. It's bright!!! But great for homework and projects. Helps this lady see better, that's for sure

First off, I bought the 4000K 100W-equivalent version of the bulb. Let's start by saying you cannot get 4000K 100W incandescent bulbs, so to try to compare brightness to a normal 2700K incandescent is a little disingenuous. Blue light is an inherently higher-power light than the yellower lower color temperature, so obviously, a 4000K bulb will appear dimmer than a 2700K of the same wattage. Having said all that, if you are looking for a very white bulb that appears maybe as bright as a 60W yellow bulb, this is your bulb. It's a very beautiful color, and I cannot fault it for not seeming as bright as a yellower bulb. I'm sure it's just as powerful, but it just doesn't look it. I highly recommend these bulbs to anyone seeking a very white light at a reasonable apparent brightness level.

I bought these to replace dimmable CFL lights and the difference is amazing. No more flickering, or discovering days later that the lights were still on, just dimmed below the level that ignites inside a CFL. To be fair, I am using nice Lutron dimmers - the kind that cost more so you can adjust them for dimming a CFL - so that may play a part, but I'm still very happy with these bulbs. I also upgraded from 60w to 100w equivalent, and because the dimming works so well we can enjoy a warm, low-light dinner AND have the bright light necessary for the kids to knock out their homework, or lose to mom at Boggle!

> Retail box constructed of very thin, flimsy, cardboard, providing little protection. I was sure that one or more bulb would fail to work, so I tested them immediately -- and ALL worked fine. > Nominally as bright as a 100-125watt incandescent bulb (but seems to be not quite as bright as Sylvania 72978 1600 lumen daylight LED bulbs, maybe 1200-1400 lumens). > Most of the fixtures in my home are rated for a maximum of 75watt incandescent bulbs -- mostly because of the heat that incandescents generate. LED bulbs produce very little heat, and draw 1/10th or less the electricity -- so you can use much brighter LED bulbs than most fixtures are rated for. I've replaced all the 60-75watt incandescent in my home with 1600 lumen LEDs, and the effect is incredible -- its SO MUCH brighter. I never realized that I've been living in dimly-lit caves most of my life -- really! The Great Eagle Daylight bulb has a "color temperature" of 5000K, which means "daylight" color (the light from many other bulbs is reddish [aka "warm"] or bluish [aka "cool"]). The Great Eagle Daylight bulbs (and other "daylight" bulbs) really have that wonderful crisp effect of daylight. Everything in my home looks "new". Indoors at night is like sitting on my patio on a sunny afternoon. Wonderful! > Light bulbs are now described by the metal screw-in base size ("E") and the shape size of the glass part ("A"). The Great Eagle Daylight bulb has a standard, ordinary, medium, base, i.e., "E26" (E27 in Europe = 1 inch = 26-27mm wide) like all of, or the vast majority of, the light-bulbs in your house or apartment. The glass part of "A19" bulbs is about the size of a 75 watt incandescent bulb, so they fit well in fixtures designed for 60-75 watt incandescent bulbs (in comparison, the Sylvania 72978 1600 lumen bulbs is much larger -- the size of a 125 watt incandescent bulb) HOW WELL DOES IT WORK WITH DIMMERS? > The Great Eagle Daylight works well with my "legacy" "incandescent" Lutron Skylark fan/light controller for my ceiling fans, and a Lutron "legacy" "incandescent" Credenza dimmer for my floor lamp. However, in both cases, the light level dropped off very abruptly below about 70% of the slider travel. It was difficult to adjust to a light level below about 30%. So I upgraded to a Lutron Maestro fan/light controller and a Lutron Skylark dimmer, both rated for dimmable LEDs. But, neither would dim the Great Eagle Daylight below about 70%, at all. I've since learned that this is typical for moderately-priced upgrade dimmers. > FLICKERING -- I haven't notice any flickering with Great Eagle Daylight bulbs. This is a powerline issue -- some dimmable bulbs flicker when used with some "legacy" "incandescent" dimmers when there is a fluctuation in line voltage. The LED-rated Lutron dimmers are supposed to eliminate this effect -- but I haven't been using them long enough to confirm this (my local power is very stable). > NOISE -- Although not related to the Great Eagle Daylight dimmable LED lightbulbs, ceiling fans can buzz and make noises when used with "wall switch" controllers at less than maximum speed -- and that noise is said to be bad for the motor. The Lutron Maestro fan/light controller is said to eliminate this, and I've heard no buzzing of the fan with the Maestro controller. Indeed I may upgrade my other ceiling fans to Maestro controllers primarily for this purpose (with the added benefit of eliminating even occasional flickering of dimmable LED bulbs).

I bought the Bright White (3000K) as a way to brighten up a room after installing a new ceiling fan/light. The new light cover is frosted glass and doesn't allow for as much light to pass through as the old one. I couldn't find where the fan manufacturer made a clear glass light cover so I thought I'd try a brighter bulb. I had been using the Philips non-dimmable 2700K. These bulbs worked great and provided the exact brightness I was looking for. Not too bright but a little whiter light than before. I have not used the dimmable feature and cannot speak to their longevity yet. For now, I'm happy with these bulbs.
