The size is great. Especially for small wristlets or your pocket. When I go to theme parks, which is rare, I can carry plenty for the day and my wristlets isn't bulging out and I can still put other things in there.

I've used plastic Playtex for years and nothing worked better. Then I tried these and have converted to only buying these. I get zero leakage with these, the plastic applicator is very comfortable to use, and they are small enough to fit in the tiny pocket of my skinny jeans (no more having to take my whole purse to the bathroom sheepishly at work). The extension of the applicator is easy and clicks firmly into place and doesn't slip, so these are basically like having a full size applicator but only having to carry around half of one. I can fit more of them in my purse/cosmetics bag than I could fit full sized applicators. Also, I used to have the ocassional issue with the Playtex applicator tip pinching me when the cotton pushed through. That has never happened with these. Definitely the best all around that I've tried.

she HAS to have her easily portable - click in place - plastic applicators

My teenage (16 year old) daughter will ONLY use these. She's a little size 2 - 5'5" sports fanatic kid. We've tried others, and unlike when I was growing up and only had the choice of what size cardboard applicator, she HAS to have her easily portable - click in place - plastic applicators. After trying them myself I think they are a little shorter to accommodate teenage girls bodies better than adults as well. Plus - they're pretty lol :-)
