Perfect If You Want Budget Battery

Nothing wrong with this charger and batteries. Everything charges and my GoPro hero 5 runs with it. So far so great. Why spend $18 on an official battery when you can spend $27 on 3 batteries AND a charger with a usb that comes with it.

Why pay for one when you can get three?

Batteries work well and have a very comparable life to OEM Batteries from GoPro. For the price, you really can't beat it. Charger does a great job of bringing all three batteries from 0% to Full charge in a little over an hour. Time will tell how many cycles the batteries can take and their longevity but at this price point, the cost of replacement is pretty immaterial. Seems like an easy decision if you need more juice for your action-adventuring-camera: buy the OEM charger and one extra battery OR for less money get three batteries and charger.

Excellent batteries, excellent charger, excellent value. Works on 7 Hero Black. As good as OEM

I've bought six of these batteries and used them extensively since the GoPro 7 Hero Black was released. These batteries work well, and the charger is thoughtfully designed. A common question is whether these batteries are "as good as" the OEM battery. In my experience, they are, but I think the question often suggests that the questioner might be served by a different type of product entirely -- read on to the "suggestions" section below. ADVANTAGES * These batteries cost about half that of GoPro OEM batteries, and in my experience, last about as long * The charger plugs into a standard MicroUSB cable and can work with any USB wall port. This is huge. I don't need to be carrying around yet another proprietary charger cord. * The charger is wonderfully compact, versus space-wasting "tray"-style chargers. You can store charged batteries in the charger, in a neat cube. * These batteries work great with the GoPro 7 Hero Black. At least one commenter has reported shutdown problems, but I believe their issue is with their faulty GoPro camera, not with this battery. I've used six of these batteries with the GoPro 7 Hero Black since its release day and have had no problems making my camera work. DISADVANTAGES * Though you can store batteries in the charger, there's nothing to hold them or "click" them into place, so they have a tendency to fall out. It would be nice if the charger could hold them in place somehow. SUGGESTIONS People invariably ask if these batteries are "as good as" GoPro's OEM batteries. I believe they are, but the question and the questioner often seems to miss a larger point. The truth is that GoPro batteries in general aren't that good, in the sense that they do not last as long as most people would ideally want. That's that's true of the very most expensive OEM battery that GoPro makes, and that's true for these batteries. Any battery that fits inside the GoPro just won't last that long. For many use cases -- say, for shooting the stabilized hyperlapse video that the Hero 7 Black excels at -- what users actually need is an external battery that can power their GoPro for hours if necessary. Two suggestions: * For shooting three to four hours of hyperlapse video of, say, first-person footage of a marathon run, you can mount the GoPro on a chest mount and power the camera via the Poweradd Slim 2 5000mAh Ultra-compact Portable Power Bank External Battery Pack. * For handheld work, the Wasabi Power CLUTCH will power your GoPro all day long. * For mounting on a bicycle handebar or frame, the ORBMART Extended Battery will give you three to four hours of juice in a handy case that does not interfere with the GoPro 7 Black's controls. note: I was *not* solicited to write this review, and I bought this product with my own money. Great bang-for-the-buck.

Much less expensive than the official batteries and you get 3 with a nice charger. Great looking charger too. I got 76 minutes on my Hero 7 with GPS and Wifi on vs 65 minutes with the same settings on the stock battery. Only question is if they'll last and perform the same in the cold (skiing/snowboarding). I considered taking one star off because the charger is USB powered and takes a couple of hours to charge a battery. I haven't charged multiple batteries yet but expect the time to increase. Wish it came with a high-output power-source for the charger. For this price though I couldn't get myself to it. If the batteries die quickly I'll definitely come back and make the adjustment.

the only thing i dont like about these batteries is the fact you only get an hour out of them. there not like actual gopro camera batteries that can last up to four or five hours of filming but if you want to just do youtube videos like i do you can continue to film for another hour and then pop them in the charger when their done and continusly charge them.

Built so well you would think GoPro made this. Amazing quality and function, five stars!

These things are amazing, a LOT cheaper than factory, made just as well and last equally as long so far...maybe longer. Will have to update review as use them more. Charger is small and built extremely well, love it!

Nice alternative to OEM battery - GoPRO Hero

I have the GoPro Hero 5 and ordered this 3 pack battery and charger. The batteries and charger work great, just as one should expect. The new and upgraded charger works even better than the last one I had from MIBOTE that was 3 years old that I accidentally drove over with my car. The charger consistently charges the batteries. I get a reliable run time that I can count on each and every time. I use my GoPro 5 out of 7 days a week, so the batteries and charger get a lot of use.

Great buy

I had their old version of 1220mAh batter for my GoPro Hero 5 black. It didn't last as long as the GoPro official battery but it was pretty close (about 10min out). For its price, it was a steal. This new version comes with larger capacity (1500mAh) and a USB-C based charger which charges much faster than the old charger. All three batteries I received are in good condition and charged to full in about one hour. Put in my GoPro and it is ready to shoot. It is a great buy at this price.
