Starbucks who?
I LOVE my new coffee system! I am not a fan of regular coffee so I would often go to coffee shops to get cold brew, cappuccinos, and lattes multiple times a day. Since getting this machine my life has changed for the better. I no longer wait in lines for overpriced drinks! AND I can literally recreate any and every drink sold at a coffee shop with whatever grounds I want (cold brewing DD French Vanilla grounds is my new go to). Initially was unsure when the machine was done brewing as it pauses a few times during the session but the progress bar is a big help in letting me know that nothing is wrong and it is still brewing. LOVE LOVE LOVE my ninja hot and cold brewed system!

Coffee timer saves time and money
Let me explain. Prior to owning this machine I was making my coffee in a french press exclusively. This is by any measure an exceptional means to make a cuppa, but if like myself you're the opposite of a morning person the effort required (however minimal) is not insignificant. That said often enough I found myself at the local co-op for a cup in the morning which tended to include an order of biscuits and gravy or a burrito since it's there. Now that I have this machine there is a fresh hot cup waiting for me every morning before work right on time. The insulated carafe is great since my girlfriend and I work different hours in the morning on occasion, she can have coffee ready and it's still hot by the time I'm ready to go about my day. The cost of this particular model is sort of high if all you're interested in is a machine that has the ability to turn itself on at a certain time, I guess. I haven't used any of the other brewing options really and we tried making tea which worked as one might expect. There is a different basket for tea grounds vs coffee so you don't have to worry about cross contamination of sorts. The grounds basket is also removable so it's easy to clean. The water reservoir is also removable so it's easy to fill, all nice features. It does seem like sort of a high price for a coffee machine but the design seems thoughtful and it's been a pleasure to own. Knowing what I know now, I would buy it again (or at least consider another Ninja model).

Exceptional Coffee and Tea maker!!
This Ninja Hot and Cold brew system is exactly what we were looking for and all we've ever wanted for coffee and tea. We love coffee and loose leaf tea and this provides you the best of both worlds!! Bonus is you don't have to set a timer for your loose leaf tea and stand right next to it. Definitely saves some time. I would highly recommend this system!

Amazing machine!!!!
I get nervous when I pay quite a bit for certain things because, well, they are just things. However, this Ninja coffee maker I bought a while ago is worth. every. penny. Extra money for the thermal carafe but since I have a thing for breaking the glass ones I figured it would be a good investment plus this carafe doesn’t even get hot and you don’t have to open the lid to pour it!! There is 2 different filter baskets for coffee and tea and as soon as you insert it the system KNOWS what you are trying to make. Then you select what type after that and the tea setting even has you select what type of tea so it brews at the right temp and length 😱😱😱. Then you can make different sizes like small cups or large to go cups or the 1/2 or whole carafe. THEN, there is a frother on the side if you want to warm your milk and froth it to add it OR you can even whip some heavy cream for hot chocolate. The water container comes out easily to fill in the sink. The measuring spoon on the side is perfect for tea and coffee and the book even says how much if you want strong or regular coffee. Plus a “speciality” button for espresso and chai type coffees and teas. There’s a calibrating button and a cleaning button. I am so in love. It couldn’t have anything else. 😍😍😍😍😍

Great purchase!
I usually don't like drip coffee, but I bought this coffee maker for my boyfriend. It can brew tea and also makes cold brew coffee. I wanted something that we could both use since it is a coffee maker on the more pricey side. We both love it! He uses the delayed brew function. He sets it up at night; when he gets up for work in the morning, coffee is ready to go! I like using it on the weekends when I am not drinking espresso. It is also very easy to use and has nice lighting on the buttons. All in all, we are very satisfied with this purchase.

Keirug Convert
I have been a Keirug devotee since they came out. I dutifully purchased each new shiny machine ever year or two as they upgraded. And then they took away my mug and carafe pods. It was taking two pods to fill my travel mug to head to work. After massive consideration, I decided if I was going to have to grind my own beans to make a pot of coffee, it was time to look elsewhere. Why I love this machine: Ninja's version of XL equals my largest travel mug. It keeps the pot warm for me. It easily switches to tea. There are many choices. I easily made a pitcher of iced tea. Easier than my previous method of boiling water, steeping, cooling/adding ice. Took less time as well since this cold brews. Easily made an iced coffee. Easily tell it if I'm drinking dark or light coffee, or white or green or black tea. It's been pretty easy to clean. Given what I paid for the last Keirug, this model was cheaper and does way more. So the ROI on this machine is two thumbs up in my opinion.

Amazing!
I made my first cup of coffee and I’m totally in love. The simplicity, flavor, texture, versatility are unbelievable. I can’t believe I had to be “sold” to try this and to consider giving up my K cups. I have both brewers set up and one is being unplugged and given away because of my Ninja. I feel like a barista (without any training). Even the frothing and cleanup is a breeze. A few extra minutes is well worth it. I can’t wait to make every possible combination of tea and coffee beverages.

The perfect multifaceted coffee maker for us!
We got rid of our Keurig because coffee pods are a problem with environment waste and they make inferior coffee. The Ninja CP301 is so wonderful. It’s been a joy to use and is easy to operate. I love the different options for sizes and brew types. My husband has an erratic schedule so when he’s home, I make a full carafe, pour myself a travel mug and leave the rest warming for him to drink. When we are both out the door at different times, the option to make a travel mug size is just what we need. On weekends when we are both home and consume a full carafe but one of us needs just a bit more, just brewing a cup is the solution. I love to drink iced coffee during the summer and milk based coffees from time to time so having both these options available on one machine was what made me decide to purchase this machine. If you think what I wrote sounds a lot like you and if you’re deciding to purchase this, GO FOR IT!

Incredible and versatile coffee maker! Love it!!
I bought this coffee maker after my old Cuisinart stopped working. I had seen some other Ninja models but the Ninja logo and some of the designs didn't appeal to me. After doing a lot of research, I bought this coffee maker and I am so glad that I did. It is one of my favorite products that I own. I am a picky coffee and tea drinker and wasn't anticipating that I would really use this for brewing tea because I have a Teavana system that I really like, but I have switched and now use this for making tea, too. I promise you, your tea will not have the slightest coffee taste because the filter and compartment holding the filter is completely different than what is used for coffee. The permanent filters for coffee and tea come with this product, so you do not need to purchase additional filters and these filters are wonderful and do not allow any particles to slip by. The materials used are good quality and it looks very nice sitting on my kitchen counter. When the maker is off, only the time is displayed but when you turn the power button everything else lights up. The maker knows what you are brewing by the type of filter (either tea or coffee) you have placed in the maker. The display then shows the options you have for the type of tea (green, white, black, etc.) you are brewing, your brewing preferences (rich, over ice, cold brew, etc.) and size of container (small, extra large, tumbler, half-carafe, etc.) If you are making a pot of coffee, the warming plate automatically turns on and you can customize it to shut off after a particular length of time up to four hours. There is a red light that illuminates on the warming plate so that you know that it is on. I read some reviews that suggested that the glass pot was a better option than the stainless steel one and I am really happy with the glass pot. It pours very nicely without dripping onto a surface outside of your cup. Some reviews said it was difficult to wash because you can't fit your hand into it, and although it is true that you can't fit your hand in it, I have not found coffee sediments building up on the glass like I have had in other coffee pots. I just put it in the dishwasher and it comes out perfectly clean. The water reservoir is detachable so that you can remove it so that you can fill it up with water rather than having to fill the pot and pour water into it and although you have to be careful not to drop the lid to the reservoir because it is a separate part that comes off completely, it has a great marker that shows you the maximum fill line when you look inside the tank. You can also see the correct fill lines on the outside of the reservoir for whatever size of container you are filling. It has a milk frother that I have used but don't use very often and it works well with cold or warm milk. It is easy to remove for cleaning and the arm tucks away nicely on the side for storage. It also comes with a great measuring spoon that shows you exactly how much tea and coffee to use for the amount you are brewing. I have always just eyeballed it before, but really like using the spoon to help make a perfect cup of coffee. There is also a button to stop brewing so that you can remove the pot or cup and not have a single drop spill onto the warming plate. You can also turn off the warming plate at any time by simply pressing one button. The coffee maker is programmable so that you can set a time for your maker to start brewing. If you are making a cup or a glass, there is a small shelf that swings down over the warming plate to hold your cup or glass. If you are brewing cold brew or something over ice, the warming plate stays off. There is also a cleaning feature so that you can deep clean your maker when needed. I drink a lot of coffee and was a little concerned that the carafe might be too small for when we have people over, but I don't think that is going to be an issue and it's a perfect size for our family on the weekends and when I am drinking coffee while working at home during the week. I didn't anticipate that I would use the single cup feature much, but I do and I have found that I love it! So much better than a model that uses a pod. When brewing tea, you can use loose leaf or tea bags and it works great either way. Seriously, there is not one thing that I would change about this product and if you are considering buying this item, I would highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.

OMG! OMG!! O. M. G. !!!--My New Favorite Toy (BE AWARE OF IMPORTANT CAUTION)
WARNING - THIS IS AN IN DEPTH REVIEW FOR THOSE INTERESTING IN MAKING A SERIOUS BUYING DECISION. If you prefer a summary, see section marked THE BOTTOM LINE -------------------------------------- When I sent for this, I had no idea how much fun we were going to have with this. There are only a handful of things in any given year that make me THIS excited, so I must control myself from gushing too much. Let's see what our experience has been with this unit! WHAT IS THIS LIKE? This unit is not too large, but nor is it small. It takes up some room on the counter, but it is compact considering what it does! MEASUREMENT 15 high by 9 1/2 deep by 10 wide is approximately what you need as a minimum area to place this unit on. In order to run all of it, however, you need about 8 inches of clearance minimum on each side to run the frother on one side and replace the water container on the other comfortably. SET UP The set up is well thought out. You put about a half gallon or so of water in the tank on the right side of the unit. There is a thermal carafe that you can use with it that is stainless steel of you want a pot of coffee or tea. The screen on the front is dark until you push the power button and it lights up. You use the top dial to choose what you want to make and what strength, and then you can opt for tea and those settings as well. MILK FROTHER The milk frother is on a retractable arm which you can put warmed or cold milk in a cup on the side and power it up to froth the milk. It works decently and does foam up. You can remove the unit for cleaning. MEASURE CUP The measure cup has coffee settings on one side and tea on the flip side. There is a large and small cup on each end. This fits onto the side of the unit out of the way when not in use. TEA OR COFFEE FILTERS These clue the machine into which you are making. It is easy to put on and tuck into the unit. RECIPE BOOK Again well laid out and thought out- this is inspirational and gets the creative juices flowing on what you can do with this great machine. HOW DOES IT PERFORM? I will break down each of the creations we have made with this: COLD BREW COFFEE We have done cold brew coffee several ways from Kyoto method to the Gourmia machine which uses a fountain to run the cold water through for up to 40 min to have cold brew ready. We have used other methods as well. This method is what I would call a slightly lukewarm method. The water is barely warmed and sprayed through the coffee. It is done from 15 to 25 minutes depending on how much is made. The measurements given for all recipes are WAY too strong for us- we cut them in half and they taste better. When cut in half, the coffee is smooth, not bitter, and does taste good hot or cold. TEA We have made oolong, black tea, decaf tea, many herbal teas, white tea, and green tea with this unit. ALL OF THEM HAVE BEEN FANTASTIC. The only problem we had was that it calls for WAY TOO MUCH TEA. When cut in half, the tea tastes really nice. HOT BREW Even the hot brew coffee has been wonderful. We are not big hot brew fans of coffee, but this is a good option if that is what you like. WHAT IS THE CARAFE LIKE? OMG this is amazing. We made a pot of tea and up to two hours later, it is still HOT. Same with coffee. This is a really amazing unit. It does not have a heating plate under it- does not need one. This baby stays hot a long while. CAUTION IF YOU HAVE WELL WATER THIS SAYS IN THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT IT WILL NOT WORK WITH WELL WATER. This does say it works with FILTERED water, and we have used a blend of filtered and distilled water just to be sure to keep it clear. CLEANING We have not had to deep clean yet, but if you avoid using tap or well water and opt for filtered or a blend of filtered and distilled water, it will not need cleaning as often. The filters are easy to clean and fast too. If it needs to be descaled, there is a recipe for using vinegar (white) to clean the unit. SIZES USED Another feature I forgot to mention is that there is a little shelf that flips down so you can make a mug of tea or coffee. You can also make a travel mug direction under the machine even up to XL size. Then if you want to make the carafe you can flip up the shelf and put the carafe in there. THE BOTTOM LINE This truly is a machine that does almost anything we could want for coffee or tea. It is a wonderful unit and we love the ability to make plain or frothy drinks. The recipes are inspiring, and the layout of this unit was well thought out. Use caution if you have well water. MY RATING Five stars. I just LOVE this thing. We use it all of the time and each of us loves exploring new ways to make tea and coffee that we never thought of before. This would make a spectacular Christmas, Wedding, Birthday, Graduation, or Special Occasion, etc present to someone you know who loves coffee and/or tea.
