Heats up quickly

The kettle is simple to use, easy to clean, and does heat up quickly. Hotter than my last kettle, but no problems with the temperature. I am wary of the glass and take extra caution not to break it. My last kettle was plastic, more durable, but the concerns about heat and plastic that is not BP free, had me switching to glass. Arrived a day sooner than expected, packaged well, nothing was broken.

I LOVE this kettle! Exactly what I was looking for, with the push tab start, and heats up fast even with a Max fill of water. I did get some of the discoloration other reviewers noted on the steel plate warmer after my first use, but I suspect this was from me dumping the water while the kettle was still warm, as the spots were not there until I threw out the leftover water. I realized the residual heat on the plate without the insulation of the water must have caused the discoloration. So, based on my observation, I would say this discoloration seems to be from user error and not a manufacturing defect. Don't be afraid to get this kettle, it is wonderful!

Love Everything About It

First of all, it works perfectly. But, what I love most of all is that it is glass and lights up blue while it's heating water. We've been using it everyday for over two months and love it and it's proving to be sturdy and of high quality. Just an FYI, the top does not come off completely if that's a requirement for you. Rather it has a button that, when pressed, causes the top to gently pop open on a hinge. I like the way it pops up, too. It's kinda cool.

Cool-looking Kettle

First, I would like to take a moment to remember the 5 kettles that were cruelly destroyed (admittedly by accident) by my wife. Three stovetop kettles were boiled to death without water. One electric kettle suffered the same fate (it didn’t have boil-dry protection). The last electric kettle was filled with water....then mistakenly placed on the hot electric stove. We were scrubbing black plastic gunk off the wall, extractor hood and stove for hours after that one. Lucky we didn’t lose the house..... Anyway, this electric kettle was bought to replace the previous poor stovetop kettle. So far, it has survived well and does its job. The glass jug and blue LED light ring looks cool.

Where have you been my whole life!

Imagine that! You can actually make boiling water without a kettle on your stove! This frees up one burner on my stove that sometimes becomes an essential burner during the cooking of dinner. And while this takes up a little bit of counter space instead of stove space, it’s really not much space at all. This kettle stands tall and proud, not short and dumpy. It has a luminous blue glow when it’s hard at work getting your water boiling, and for good measure it lets you know if it’s Herculean effort with a steamy roar... quieting down as your water comes to a rolling and powerful boil. It’s a thing of beauty! I’ll never go back to stovetop tea kettle boiling... or the horror of microwave boiling. In the short week that we’ve had this kettle, and the countless times I’ve hit that little button under the handle, it has been a true pleasure to know that quicker than ever before water WILL be boiled, and I won’t have a boil over, won’t break the glass container if it boils out of water. But I will have boiling water for tea, coffee, and all number of delightful reasons one might need boiling water!

Love it - great features!

I've been wanting an electric kettle for a long time and I'm so glad I purchased this one. Things I like: A. The blue light. besides being cool to look at, is quite helpful as sometimes in the morning when I've been sleepy I have "started" the kettle but it hasn't been plugged in so...no blue light, no power. You know right away it's not plugged in. B. The wide mouth allows me (a woman with normal-size hands) to reach inside and clean it out. Our water is hard and even after the first use there was a deposit on the bottom. I am cleaning it regularly with vinegar and water and the deposits go away each time. I don't usually need to boil as much water as this kettle holds, but I am glad I got this size because I can easily clean it. C. Glass and plastic. I like being able to see into the kettle so I can see the deposit on the bottom build up and clean it off when needed. The kettle handle is easy to hold and pour.

It does what it says, heats water quickly. Solid feeling, simple to work. Doesn't feel like a cheap plastic appliance Customer service sent and email telling me of a 3 year warranty. If I'm not happy or it breaks, they'll replace it with a new one. If I need to use this, I"ll comment on how it worked out.

Could this possibly be the best electric glass kettle in the world?

Admit I only have this for one day now, & wil surely change review if anything goes bad. But, I highly doubt it. All materials seem very sturdy, the notch doesn't heat up like in cheap kettles. So it won't break from melting. Iv'e already made 13 cups of Rose Hip just today. All water glows blue, which is kind of beautiful at night to watch. Water doesn't touch anything, but pure glass, so no BPA concerns here. Safe on all levels. Auto shut off works like magic. Nothing negative to say so far.

Probably the best purchase I've ever bought on Amazon

This has been by far the best thing I have ever purchased on Amazon. I had been making my hot water on the stove, and through the coffee pot, but this is so much more efficient and quicker. It doesn't take long and it's just a push of a button. There is not much to this other than it gives you boiling hot water quickly.
