An excellent finishing/polishing stone. Shipped promptly and quickly puts a bragging-rights edge on my high-end paring knives and pocket knives. Convenient storage, no oils to mess with and even comes with a small rubber base. Could not be more pleased with the product's value or utility for my needs.

This 600/1,000 grit is my second Unimi knife sharpener, the first is 2,000/6,000 grit and I love them both. Both stones together produce very sharp and well polished knives that reduce the cutting effort and save time in the kitchen. I particularly appreciate that the manufacture printed the grit number on the side of each stone - that helps use the different grits in the proper sequence from the coarser to the finer. The stone comes with a non-slip silicone/rubber base which is very handy.

Surprised at just how easy and how great a result you get. I followed the simple instructions and within minutes I had every knife in the House razor sharp!! My wife who isn’t impressed with much found making dinner easier with the sharp knife I provided. Thanks for a great product

I haven’t sharpened my knives with a sharpening stone for a long time. Usually, I use a honing steel for temporary sharpening, in order to save time. But a honing steel can not sharpen a knife as well as a sharpening stone especially when the knife becomes very blunt. This stone worked for my dull knives. I don’t follow the honing instructions but use my own method (count the number of times instead of using a timer). After sharpening, my knives are getting sharp again. By the way, if you don’t care the blade is shiny or not, using only the 2000 grit side is good enough.

I received the product as advertised. It was well packaged and undamaged. It came with some instructions on whetstone use and cleaning. I used the stone for my wood plane blades. I really like the dual sided stone. I used the 2000 grit side then the 6000 grit side before finishing up with my 10000 grit stone. I have only used the stone a few times but it appears that it will hold up well. I was happy to get the rubber base for the stone; it makes for a nice non-slip holder when placed on the countertop. Would I buy it again? Yes! Would I recommend to a friend? Yes! Will i purchase other stones made by Unimi? Yes!

This is a really high quality stone that has sharpened up our knives very nicely. We were previously using an electric machine that left an uneven edge. This stone, if used properly, can smooth out those unevennesses. It is of course, more work to sharpen with a stone than an electric wheel grinder. But it's worth it. Now we can slice a tomato almost with the weight of the knife itself.

Very nice knife stone.i love fineness of 6000,today i rceiced knife stone first thing is to sharpen the knife. Now my knife is very sharp...so five star🤤

This is a good quality stone for a beginner looking to learn about hand sharpening knives and blades. It holds up well, especially for the price point. New sharpeners are prone to gouging and scratching stones, pushing too hard, etc, and this stone handles the abuse nicely. The no slip base is very effective at cementing the stone in place, which is a critical safety feature. I would recommend buying a coarser grade stone (300 to 800 grit) to use in combination with this one, especially if your knives are chipped, rusty, or extremely blunt, as this stone has a middle grit sharpening side (2000) and a finishing side (6000). But if your knives are already in decent or good condition, this stone will give you everything you need to learn and maintain them.

Everything about this stone sharpener reflects ease of use. It's size is perfect for use on the counter. On the day I received it, I sharpened all my kitchen knives and even the pen knife Ikeep in my pocket. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

I had received this whetstone as a gift for sharpening my new Wusthof's. What a great sharpener. The grits are perfect for the home cook to sharpen. I would recommend going to Youtube for instructional videos on proper techniques as the instructions require some improvement. I have used the stone on my set of Wusthof's as well as my Cutco knives with great results. The knives cut, slice, dice, julienne like brand new.
