This is a very nice unit for the price. I like the fact that it has both 1/4 and 5/8 mounting threads are on the unit. I had a similar DeWalt level with a red laser that failed but I must say that I am much more impressed with this one. I was a little concerned that the item was shipped in the unlocked position but after checking it the level is spot on. Just activated the 2 year warranty and was also impressed with that. I agree with the other reviewer that the case is a poor design as it wants to flip over if you lift it by the strap handle. A hard case like my DeWalt unit would be a much better option but for the price I'm not complaining.

I have another laser, but I bought this one because the combination of options intrigued me. Right out of the box I was impressed the way it was packaged and came with its own case which nests the laser and its accessories in foam for protection. After inserting the batteries, it takes two seconds to turn this unit on, let it settle, and begin to use it. The green laser is visible outdoors but may need to be used with its supplied reflector in bright sunlight. I am about to reshingle my house and install a kitchen and cannot think of one part of either job that this tool will not make far easier. The 360-degree laser line will help transferring siding marks on the outside of my house as well as providing a constant control line when installing my cabinets. I was a contractor for 30 years and cannot believe that I survived that long without a tool such as this. This is quality tool for an extremely attractive price. There is absolutely no reason to choose any other unit but this. I have another level but will most likely be using this one for my future projects.

In the past I've used a Bosch rotary laser at work for measuring piping in factories so I know how useful lasers can be. I recently started a small side business doing home remodels and decided to get a laser to make things easier to layout and measure, so I looked into a Bosch rotary, then I saw the price to be $800! So I began to look for other options and I came across this little unit, while it's not a rotary laser, the 360 laser on it is phenomenal! I'm extremely satisfied with the range and brightness of the laser and most of all the price, I could buy 6 of these before getting one rotary laser! Definitely recommend

This is my first laser level, and I'm very happy with my purchase. I got it because I was installing kitchen cabinets and didn't want to fuss with finding the high spot in my (very) uneven floors to reference off of. It did take some bit of learning to understand it, but after reading the manual online it all made sense. In short, the lock/unlock switch on the side doubles as a power switch for all intents and purposes, and if the laser is flashing it's out of tolerance and you need to adjust the device to make it more level. The device comes with a detachable magnet in case you don't have a tripod handy. That was super useful for me since my tripod mount was missing at the time. I just attached the level to my fridge and moved it around until I had it where I needed it. In the end when the countertops were installed they were level to within a sixteenth of an inch over 12 feet. For my first installation, I'll take it!

So I bought a smaller cross line laser first and found that it was really great it sticks to corner bead and is nice and small so you can fit it in your tool bag no problem. Both lasers are nice and bright and the batteries seem to last for a few jobs which means 10 to 12 hours on single use laser applications not running all the beans at once. The larger laser is too heavy to stick onto corner bead but if you have a flat metal surface it will stick to that very well. The lasers were such a hit at work my guys had me ordering them until I had to start telling them no everybody loves them. They both have pendulum locks and seem like they will last a long time. The larger laser has a really great plumbline feature where as it shoots a Plumb line behind it making the laser much easier to line up. All in all I'm really glad I bought both of these lasers under $200 you cannot beat it..

UPDATE (12/27/2018) - the level works well for most practical uses, but became difficult to see in bright sun when more than 5-10 feet away. In normal daylight it worked well up to 20 feet. I will keep this one for sure because it’s easy to use and functions well. The batteries last quite a while also. BUT I will also invest in a more expensive and more powerful rotary laser for larger outdoor uses. BEGIN ORIGINAL REVIEW I am a brand new contractor with over 10 years of occasional personal handyman and home renovation experience. This is my first purchase of a laser level. I decided it was necessary after working with another contractor recently and seeing how a basic laser level greatly sped up the workflow. After using a red laser level and struggling to visualize it with the sun shining through the window during and indoor project, I decided I would opt for the more expensive green laser no matter the cost. Unfortunately, the ones that seemed to fit the bill ranged from $400-$700. Immediately became less interested. So, I started doing research. I spent several hours researching the different brands, reviews, and why people like or dislike different features of different models. I quickly came to the realization that I did not need a super large rotary laser, but that having a 360° Lazer would be very beneficial for my primary work flow. I do mostly residential work like renovating rooms, building moderate sized too small additions, building decks, etc. I narrowed it down to Wanting a green line laser with a 360° function. I felt that this would suffice for my needs. So far, I am correct. I have used it while Finishing a basement and it has been worth it’s weight in gold.… Especially considering the very reasonable price point. It is a timesaver when installing new walls, framing windows, Finishing a basement and it has been worth it’s weight in gold.… Especially considering the very reasonable price point. It is a timesaver when installing new walls, framing windows,Marking outlet placements, and making me look like more of a professional. I am quickly seeing the need for a tripod so I ordered the Bosch elevator tripod. For the tripod price range of $100-$150 I felt deep bosh Wood give me the basic needs of being able to go up to at least 9 feet for setting the ledger board of a second story deck, which is something I’m doing this week. So far the line is SUPER bright in the basement work that I’m doing and I have no problem with visibility. If I end up having problems outdoors later this week I will update this. If this has not been updated within one week then assume that it is good to go for basic outdoor residential use. I did notice that this one does not seem quite as durable as the $500 Dewalt version that is similar, but I will just keep it in the case. I might even put it in a hard case because the case that comes with it, while Well cushioned, is fabric and not durable for a job site. For now it gets babied. All in all, this specific Lazer beat out all of my comparisons with even the same brand with different bottles, not to mention all of the other big name brands (at this price point). It’s not super professional, but most people don’t know that and you can’t tell it from the job it does.

Not much to not like about it, considering its capabilities and price point. Pictured next to my Dewalt red line laser [which costs twice as much as this], the green line is crisper, has more reach and is slightly easier to see in the day time [no laser that I'm aware of is going to be very visible in the day. Outdoor pic was taken on an overcast day and you can barely see the lines red or green, if it was sunny it would be even worse]. You'll need special glasses and/or a laser target to get good outdoor functionality from any laser, but green is slightly more visible. Very bright indoors, so is the red but to me, the red beam is almost shimmering and annoys my eyes while the green beam seems more stable and less distracting - This effect is amplified in total darkness. Goes without saying, the 360 feature is a game changer, this thing throws an awesome horizontal beam around the room - And to get similar functionality with a name brand laser, you'll pay $400 +. Red plumb dots are very nice, easy to pick out from the green and very handy at times to measure off of points where you have no fixed reference. I've read complaints about a weak magnet base, don't know if they upgraded it or what but mine seemed strong enough, had no problems sticking it on a metal door and was not in the least concerned it would fall. Soft case, would have preferred hard obviously but for the price am not complaining.

This is a good solid laser and accurate as well. When I opened the box, I was impressed by the thick padded case that it comes in. It has compartments for all the accessories that come with it. The laser itself looks like it is sturdy enough to handle daily use. I use lasers for many things in my construction work and I like that it is self leveling and has a 360 degree horizontal beam. No need to keep turning when you move. The up and down plumb dots are a great feature too. No more need for a plumb-bob on a string. The green laser beam is visible from long range. The magnetic base is very strong and keeps a tight hold on metal. Customer service is good too. When I had a question, I received a very quick response from the company. I appreciate that.

I own more than 1 Huepar laser level. This laser is a fantastic addition to the product line as it combines a VERY BRIGHT & VISIBLE Green laser for both 360° horizontal, another vertical laser line that can provide you with a true and accurate 90° line, as well as a RED Laser plumb dot! This is one of the most useful lasers I have ever come across! Having a contrast between the red and the green laser gives you easily readable reference lines and points. This unit is an excellent deal and would rival lasers 8-10 times its price. Finally, the unit has a metal cover providing extra protection for the 360° horizontal laser against possible bumps. If you want a great laser - JUST BUY IT! You won’t be disappointed!

I'm sheet metal worker , working in skyscrapers of downtown Chicago where most buildings has outside walls accessible for day light. That's why I was surprised, how far the laser line is visible , and narrow, even without reflectiv plate. On distance of around 80 feet ,line was about 3/8 of an inch thick. I checked ,how true is it level and it is in the range described in spects. The laser feels and looks decent build. The only things I don't like is the magnetic bracket. It's a toy. Buy yourself four (4) 16 lb. real earth magnets and 1/4-20 bolt with nut and make your own , if you don't want to pick up laser scrap from a floor, after first use of supply bracket. Another thing regarding job ,I'm doing .Beside quality, speed is also taken in a count ,to give a decent day of work ,so better inside pendulum stabilizer would be greatly appreciated. But for this price for the unit that is not bad. The red plumb dots are useful to layout hangers and griples. This laser is very good for the price and I would recommend it ,unless you need a name and pay two ,three times more. Sorry for my English. Trying do my best
