I could not be happier. It keeps my Arlo camera charged and now ...

I ordered two of these units. One worked perfectly right out of the box. One did not. Wasserstein always sends an email to you about your purchase and asks for feedback. I told them one was not working and bam. Two days later I had a new unit on my doorstep. No return the old one hassles or any questions These people stand behind their product 1000% As for the design and functionality, I could not be happier. It keeps my Arlo camera charged and now I don't have to climb ladders so often. I highly recommend this product.

Wasserstein vs Arlo Solar Panel

I am huge fan of the Arlo PRO system. However, I am not a fan of how Arlo is taking advantage of customers when it comes to Arlo Accessories - the word price gouging comes to mind. That's why I am absolutely delighted that a company like Wasserstein has come in and is offering good quality Arlo add ons. I have already bought the wired charging adapter, the charging station and some skins and I am excited to see that they started manufacturing a solar charger as well. In the below review I am comparing the Arlo Solar Charger with the one from Wasserstein. I am comparing them in 4 categories: ease of installation, craftsmanship, charging speed and price/performance. Installation: Both products come with the same components: the solar panel itself, a wall mount to attach the solar panel and a weatherproof connecting cable to hook up the camera and the solar charger. The Arlo panel comes with an original Arlo wall mounts - which are great quality and require you to drill 3 holes. The Wasserstein panel comes with an equally versatile plastic mount that requires drilling of two holes. Both products are easy to mount, but the cable of the Wasserstein solar panel is 20 cm longer. So here slight advantage Wasserstein. Craftsmanship: Both solar panels appear to be well made and sturdy. However, the Arlo solar panel just looks a little bit nicer maybe because of the glossy surface finish. Here: slight advantage Arlo Solar Panel. Charging Speed/ Efficiency: In order to have a fair comparison I tested each solar panel for one week. The solar panels were connected to the same camera which faces the road in front of my (lots of trigger events). Both panels were facing south and the number of trigger events was similar. Again - both panels did a great job of keeping the battery charged. At one time the Wasserstein charging panel charged the battery from 20% to 38% within 6 hours of sunlight exposure. So again both panels do their job well. Price/Performance = Value: This is where we have a clear winner - the Wasserstein solar panel! Both panels seem to be performing equally well, but there is a HUGE difference in price. Which makes the Wasserstein panel the clear winner in this category. Also - The Arlo solar panel is currently on back order and gets shipped in 2 -4 weeks, whereas I got mine from Wasserstein within 2 days. A happy customer gives this solar charger for Arlo PRO 5 stars.

Does the job +

Bought two of these for my Arlo Pro 2 cameras. Installed one on the west and the other on the east side of my house. A little before dawn, both cameras started charging. The shady side of the house showed a 1% battery increase before 11 am. The west side camera has over 100 motion recordings each day. The solar panel keeps up with this demand AND adds a couple % points of charge each day. I live in the SW and it's summer. I'll update these results in the winter.

Easy install, so far, work great.

Purchased two of the solar panels. They arrived on time and packed well. I installed my cameras then added the two solar panels. Installation was quick and easy. I used the Simply Solar app to ensure the solar panel was positioned properly. It was pleasant to see the blue fully charged light on my Arlo’s by the time I was done with the full installation and aiming the cameras. I plan to add a couple more cameras in a few months. I will buy more solar panels from Wasserstein if I need them.

Works !!

Was very skeptical with all the negative reviews. But getting up on a ladder to change the batteries on Arlo outside the Garage is not my cup of tea, that being said it charges my batteries at a slow rate, but steady, on average 15% per day, went from a 24% when installed to 70% within a few days ( I live in Arizona), with the camera on with motion detection and being triggered at least 7 times during day. Will buy again for my other outdoor cameras! It Works !

Easy to install and works great!

I hesitated, since some reviews said it didn't work. I bought just one. It worked, great, so I bought two more. Much easier to install than the direct wiring, which I also did for other cameras. However, the connection will only work with the ball/magnet attachment. I had bought a fixed attachment device for one camera, and the wire from this solar panel won't fit into the camera with the more fixed attachment device (the device partially covers the hole), so I moved the camera back to the ball/magnet set up. Unfortunately, one of the new solar panels never worked, but the company exchanged it, so now I have 3 working solar panels and am very happy at the convenience of not having to get the batteries down every month or two to recharge them in the house.

Great product. Install is the key

After seeing mixed reviews I was hesitant. Let's start with their customer service. Absolutely excellent! I asked them a few questions the day before the panels arrived and they answered very quickly. I have (4) Arlo Pro camera's and didn't want to have to recharge the batteries. Therefore, I ordered (4) solar panels. So far the solar panels are excellent. Here is what you need to know: Try pointing either south or west (I live in the midwest). Angle of panel is very important. You can download a free app to help with the help of your cell phone so the panel captures the maximum amount of light. I used simply solar app. Try to give the panel a clear path to the sun (at least 2-3 hours) per day. When the sun start to go down, you may see an error code stating problem with charging. Of course there is. The sun has gone down and the camera is still hooked into the charging source without energy. Once the sun comes back up, charging resumes (you will see a lightening bolt within the battery display). Camera's will also not charge when it below 32 degrees outside. This is a battery safety feature. Product is great. Mounting is easy. Connections are tight to help keep moisture out. Cord for charging camera's is plenty long. Customer service is excellent. Very satisfied

It does a great job of keeping the battery charged up. Works as advertised, great price, easy to install very happy with it.It's powering up Arlo Pro Video camera.

Tired of charging batteries? Want to save some cash? Buy this.

So far so good. I read a lot of mixed reviews about these solar panels for Arlo. I use it with my front door Arlo pro and when I check on the app it says it's charging so hopefully that remains the case. I'll update the review if I encounter problems. I've been impressed with Wasserstein products for the Arlo so far. I also have their skins and mounts and everything has worked as good as OEM counterparts. I expect no different with this solar panel. I've heard they're great customer service too so if I do have a problem I'm hoping they'll take care of me, but I've yet to need it.
