The Grandchildren are going to love these!

Ordered 2 of these as Christmas presents for granddaughters, age 10 & 8. Because Christmas is over a month away, I thought it best to make sure they work so opened one and tried it. There is a definite need to read the instructions and a little patience in using but once I figured it out I feel confident that the 10yr. old will not only love it but will make many things with it. While I’m not as certain of the same for the 8yr. old, she will be quite disappointed if she didn’t receive one too. It doesn’t run on batteries but comes with a usb set up. So glad that I ordered extra filaments. This one is a win win!

Couldn't ask for better for first time buyer and hobby

Have used it for making stamps and molds. It has been a good little pen. Still going strong since December. After a while of heavy use it gets a little tired and the 3 setting slows to 1. I just unplug wait awhile and it's back to the way it was before. I have been using PLA filament and this has never clogged. I rarely use reverse to change colors I just cut a blunt end of the new filament, insert and let it run through. I recommend for first time users or hobbiests. BTW. Never force-pull on the filament feeding into the pen. It would probably ruin the feeding gears. But reverse does work very well. Extremely happy with my purchase Curious thing: the manufacturer recommends using only their filaments. However. They do not tell you which ones those are. I have been running least expensive filaments. For what I do its fine. Doesn't look like a 3d printer outcome but it's not a 3d printer. I smooth the little "nobbies" it makes with a wood burning pen or a little burst of the heat gun. Hear a couple of seconds in the microwave works too.

This 3-D doodle pen is an excellent, creative, fun addition to any craft room or art studio. We purchased this for our nephew who loves to draw and I cannot wait to see his art spring from the pages and into life with this really cool pen. I love that the pen comes with so many different filament colors. The design is sturdy and functional as well as ergonomic and easy to clean. The tools and additions to the pen are easy to use and the directions were not complicated at all. Children and adults alike will be able to enjoy this tool for years to come. We will update the post when he sends us pictures of his creations.

It’s a hit!

My granddaughter absolutely loves her 3D printing pen. She’s created with it so much that she needs a refill. She’s very creative and this pen was a huge success.

Very fun

Very fun, andexhilerates your imagination on what to create next. BUT, untangling the PLA & ABS fillament was exaserbating untill I had tied them seperately for use. The buttons have to be held dellicately as to not push the wrong ones while concentrating on your project. They seem to be positioned on opposing sides. So when you want to stop the flow, you intend to press the thimb button but by squeezing your thumb down your index finger clicks the opposing button instead causing an increase in flow. Also if you pause for a moment the tip heats up as well as the internal fillament causing an abundance of material to become applied but within an inch or two of application the material is cooler and the tip has cooled off and the filliment becomes less abundant and almost too difficult for the little motor to pull / push the product out. I am still learning and am sure it will be a bennefit for my use in the future.....if it lasts that long.

Nice plastic melter/welder.

Works as intended and is a very nice product. Quality will get better as I use it. Durability will show over time and use. Easy to use? Again, in time I expect it will be easier to use. This isn't something you can get excelent results from right out of the box. As far as the design, It heats up fast, melts filament just fine but is not easy to get used to using straight away.

This pen is so fun and easy to use! I love it! The little stand is great for while its heating up or cooling down after use and for when you just need to set it down for a moment. All the color options on it are so great. The only time I had trouble with it was just deciding which color to use because I liked them all lol! I really love that it came with one glow in the dark. It's super easy and simple. I tried using it with both a silicone mat and just a sheet of paper as a base. Both were good. The silicone was easy because I didn't have ro worry about my surface burning and the plastic didn't stick to it at all but the paper was also good because I could draw a shape in pencil first then trace with the 3d pen and the plastic stayed exactly where I wanted it while I was working. Over all it's just as I expected! Update: After a fee more uses the pen suddenly stopped working at all. I got in touch with the company and they were so helpful in giving me some ways to try to troubleshoot if it was something fixable and after I couldn't fix it they graciously sent me a new pen! Great customer service.
