Super cute and useful machine! I bought this as a Mother’s Day gift and my mom loves it! She said it was very handy and easy to use, the quality is good and feel like it worths more than the price. Delivery is fast and the machine was 100% nice when we open the box! Highly recommended!

Easy to use

I love the color of the sewing machine, it looks pretty nice. It has several operations, but it is easy to understand and use. It is really good for a beginner to learn and thread. Moreover, it also has dual power switch which I can use 4 AA batteries, very convenient. Recommended!

It’s a really nice little sawing machine, looks pretty good and small, easy to find a place to set it. As soon I as I got it, I started to sewing my clothes with it, it is a little bit hard to figure out at beginning, but their video is really helpful, after understand how to use it, it feels really convenient and I will keep using it.

It's a complete sewing machine regardless of its size

I'm pleasantly surprised with this Luby Portable Sewing Machine, because I was expecting less of what it's actually is. And it's a complete sewing machine, just small and portable. It has most of the features of regular size sewing machines. And my favorite thing about it, it's that it is truly portable in the sense that it runs on four AA Alkaline batteries, not included, but that's okay because one can use rechargeable batteries, and save money, while being able to do sewing projects anywhere. Well, in my case, it means to catch up with the pending clothes repairs sitting in the backyard, while my kids play a few meters from me. There is a DC adapter included, and other sewing accessories. It also has a foot pedal, which makes all the different between this sewing machine and other portable ones. I also like that because it looks like a toy, my daughter had interest in learning how to use it, she has been hand sewing her dolls dresses for a while, and now she wants to try to sew little blankets, and other things. So, it's a great choice for teenagers to learn how to use a sewing machine before trying a larger and more complicated model.

I am an extremely novice sewing machine user

I honestly have been so scared to use a sewing machine. I am the person in our family that repairs clothes but I've always just used a needle and thread which is tedious but not scary. This sewing machine looked simple enough and I like that it can be battery powered for portable use. The last time I used a sewing machine was in home economics class in middle school. I didn't remember how to use it but the owners manual got me started and with some help from some videos online, I have been able to do some basic sewing with no problem. The machine came pre threaded and pretty much ready to go which was nice. I haven't been able to try all the different stitch modes, but it's simple to change between them by turning a knob on the side. One feature I really like is the LED light that shines down on the fabric as you work on it. Very helpful to see what you are working on. I'm really not a good person to describe all the features so the main goal of this review is to tell people that anyone can use this machine and I was surprised how user friendly is has been for me. It's been great to learn on and even though it's lightweight, it's not built cheaply at all and seems somewhat durable for household sewing. I don't think this would be the best for thick upholstery or curtains (the company says you can, I just think it would wear the machine out faster), but for normal clothing repair it's been working well and I'm so glad I gave this one a try. Even if it does break after a few years, it's so affordable that it's a great way to learn and maybe upgrade to something nicer in the future. So far it's been very solid though. There's a little foot pedal that's included to start the machine. It's not the best quality but it's been working fine. I've been trying to be somewhat gentle on it to keep it working for as long as possible. Overall, I'm very happy with this machine, it's made simple repair jobs so much easier for me. One example is an old duvet cover I just repaired. It had ripped apart and it took just a few minutes for me to repair it where it would have taken much longer and looked a lot worse stitching it by hand.

Nice machine, helpful video!

I received this sewing machine a week ago but I didn’t have time to use it until now. It’s small and light weight, but it is capable to do more than what I need. At first, I had hard time figuring out how to use it due to its multi-function. Thanks to a helpful tutorial video on amazon, I was able to figure out how to use to replace a button on my shirt. Recommended!
