This is absolutely the coolest thing to happen to my miniatures since micro fiber. Nothing on Amazon or CL does this device justice. When you finally read the manual and get it onscreen you will experience that "oh ___t" moment.

Actually really impressed with this microscope. I wish that they had a website to download the firmware though. The software comes on a mini cd that can only be used with cd drives that use trays. Most modern computers and macs don’t have that option anymore. For those that have a Mac and are having issues... Open up photo booth and change the camera to the usb microscope. As for the quality, pretty good for the price. Sand looks like big rocks and is really clear.

This thing is terrific! Our seven year old grand-daughter says she can't wait to get home from school to use this. She checked out leaves, bugs, her hair, my beard, the rug, newspaper text, wood grain, the couch, her jeans and whatever else is nearby. The education she is getting is phenomenal. I am so glad I found this - this has taught her more than I could ever have imagined. Used to connect it to my laptop, but now connect it to a backup android phone, and she can take it basically anywhere to check things out. Extremely pleased with this product.

My students loved this. It was nice to use in a large class, because everyone could observe at the same time.

Excellent quality

This has become my favorite purchase of the year so far. I got it primarily for inspecting soldering but it's got so many other uses. It is easy to use and can be plugged into your phone for portability. Very clear picture!

Great Cheap Microscope

I have only been using this for a day and it is the only microscope I've ever owned, but I absolutely love it so far. I have always been curious about what things look like up close. It is pretty easy to set up, I had to use the disc setup on my Windows 7 computer. The microscope doesn't seem to be able to see anything unless the light is on I've noticed. But the image quality is pretty good considering how zoomed in it is. I have not found a way to use to ZOOM or SNAP buttons yet, when I press them they don't do anything. The program that comes up on my computer makes it easy to take pictures of what I am seeing so I can share it. Sometimes if I have the lens at a certain angle, the stand will almost tip over. It is easy to adjust otherwise. The magnification level toggle works fine though, as you adjust it the image will get clearer depending on what you're looking at. This does exactly what I was hoping it would do. It is a perfect gift for anyone like me or any child.
