Spectacular Addition...

Overall I am extremely pleased with the elf logic 18 in hanging Moravian star. It gave a spectacular topper for my 7 ft Christmas tree. I was looking for something larger than a typical tiny star that you find at most retail and also on Amazon. I like that it came pre-assembled not like the others on Amazon. Many of them you have to put together from scratch which would be very difficult. There were a few things I found slightly annoying. The instruction pamphlet to me was unclear. I then went to their website but could not find a video on it. They're supposed to have been a piece to Anchor the bulb in place. The instructions stated it was optional so I guess my version did not have it. One thing I found a little aggravating is how to keep the socket and bulb secure inside of the star. I do not know if I actually figured that out but since you are setting it upside down on a Christmas tree because the bulb was pointing up, I did not worry about it falling inside of the star and causing it to burn a hole in it. The slight weight from the cord kept it in place. That might be an issue if you were hanging it from your porch or from a window. I did wish that they had included some way to attach it to the top of my tree since it advertise it could be used as a tree topper. I just used the zip ties and it's secured it quite well. Overall, I think it was beautiful! I would definitely purchase again. Next year I might buy a few more to actually hang outside on my front porch. They make a huge statement! Update.... January 14, 2019 I loved the star so much, I just couldn't pack it up in the Christmas stuff. I'm now using it in my living room to create ambience. The bulb seems to be holding just fine so I do not think you will have to worry about keeping the bulb in place. I recommend this star for Christmas and any other occasion or decoration.

Beautiful!

Unlike the other similar stars I was looking at, this one is super easy to put together. The star itself is one piece folded kind of like an accordion, and you just need to add the included light fixture to it and lock everything in place. It takes a few minutes, that's it. And it's absolutely beautiful hanging on my front porch. It's also very bright. I love it.

Beautiful! So happy I went wish the 18” star for my 9’ tree! Easy to assemble, light weight. And the bulb is LED!

Works Perfect!

We needed a lighted topper, but not something so heavy as many are. This was perfect. There were plastic ties and a green straw like device included for attaching, but it was unclear how to use this. Given how light weight it is, we just rested it on the top of the tree and kids love it. There is a little assemple required as it collapses to store flat, but it is minimal. Would highly recommend--we purchased the 12 inch.

The Best!

I have the small and medium size of these and they are perfect. So much better than other Moravian stars I’ve had with those unsightly seams and holes. These have a much cleaner, streamlined look. Thinner, more flexible material than others, but still very durable. Super easy to put together and to fold down for storage. No more twisting in spires! If you are looking for a Moravian Star, this is the one you want.

Beautiful

My family took a trip to Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, Denmark and found it to be a truly beautiful and magical place. When we got back my kids wanted to make our yard look like Tivoli and one of the most distinguishing things about Tivoli is the lights. So I went on the hunt for beautiful lights to make a magical backyard. I got the light ball and Moravian star. They are both SO beautiful and SO easy to set up. They look magical just like I hoped. I'm sure most people will use them only for Christmas but they are nice enough to use all year. My only complaint is that the hook (especially on the ball) was small and I wanted to hang it from a tree branch. I modified it by hanging the hook from a zip tie that is around the tree branch. We got quite the wind storm the other day and it did not blow off.

It's really beautiful!

I went searching for a new Christmas tree topper this year. I came across the Moravian Star and loved the simplicity and size of it. I looked at all different stars and I really liked the look of this one because people said, about other ones, that you could see where the pieces come together when lit. This did not seem to have those seems. I was right although this does have seems (they run the length of each point) they aren't that noticeable and don't detract from the overall look. I bought the 18" one for my 9' tree and I LOVE IT!!! Husband thinks it's a bit big but I love it. I might have to buy the bigger one to put somewhere else in my home.

Easy set up and storage. A big star for a big tree!

Easy set up and break down for storage. We needed a large star for our front tree. The main branch is 20’ above our walkway. Other stars were too small and didn’t work with the size of the tree. The bulb is replaceable so you could change the color. The included bulb is more on the cool side as opposed to warm but looks great.

Unique easy store folding design

I have had a Moravian Star decoration for nearly 30 years but it has finally decided to refuse to stay assembled. It also stayed assembled (the locking pegs were hard to remove and re-insert and juggling the individual star points was an interesting exercise in futility) so the star stayed assembled and took up a large storage box. This star allows you to remove the LED light (nice feature), fold two clips and return it to its 14 x 16 x3 (approx) box for the 11 months of the year it is stored. Setting it up takes just a few seconds - install the light, unfold (much like a fan), push the clips to lock the star open and gently squeeze the points that do not fully open. A simple Christmas star - done right.
