Perfect home mechanic A/C recharge kit

The gauge set and vacuum pump work perfectly. I had my A/C system fully evacuated and charged in less than two hours and most of that time was spent making sure I didn't have any leaks. Success with my first Auto AC repair

I needed a vacuum system that would not break the bank. After all, chances were great that I would not be needing to use it again anytime soon once I successfully completed the repair. The problem: most manufacturers were asking way to much for its system. Then I came across this complete kit, it did the job well and it will continue to do a great job if I have need for it down the road. I just added it to my tool collection. I paid for itself and I get to keep it in addition to the hundreds of dollars savings because I did the repairs myself.

Installing an HVAC typically requires the lines to be evacuated of air prior to the introduction of refrigerant. VIVOHOME 110V 1/4 HP 3.5 CFM Single Stage Rotary Vane Air Vacuum Pump and R134a AC Manifold Gauges gave me the tools needed to establish that vacuum, as well as the gauges to accurately determine the correct refrigerant pressures. The pump worked well and the gauges were easy to read. These tools allowed me to install an HVAC without the need to pay an installer, thus saving hundreds of dollars.

Worth every penny!!!!

This vacuum pump arrived in excellent condition, worked exactly as advertised, and the manifold/hoses showed no signs of defect. Got the job done on the first try right out of the box. It didn't come with a tap so I would recommend a side tap or a resealing can style brass tap. They changed the freon can in 2018. Worth every penny!!!!

Rugged

Manifold set surprisingly rugged. Nice rubberized dial enclosure. Make sure you tighten down everything down but overall no leaks. Did a full evac and charge after compressor and condenser replacement. My ac is ice cold now. Only weird issue was pump didn’t seem to want to start one. Not sure if it was because I had load on it is what but I did get it to work after messing with the switch. After that no apparent issues. Needless to say I ran it for an hour pulling vacuum with no issues. Do put a fan on it if it’s hot outside, say above 90 deg.

Did exactly what I needed, pulled initial vacuum with no problems, pulled 45 min vacuum with no problems, refilled system perfectly, all guages worked as they are supposed to.

Followed a few YouTube videos on how to use and was simple to pull a vacuum and recharge the AC on a 2014 GMC Acacia SLT

Did the job

Replaced an AC condenser on a 2014 Chevy Silverado. Pump did great. the gauges were just a hair off. the -1 was not reachable on the gauge, but it did vacuum down and hold for nearly an hour.
