I've owned 4 different Hasbro "Force FX" lightsabers and this is by far my favorite saber I've ever gotten. The blade is very bright in all 11 colors and I love the 3 different sold molds. The blade is also very easy to remove. Although the hilt is much thinner and slightly shorter than the "Force FX" sabers, the vibration feature is pretty cool. The only thing I don't really like is that you have to hold down the power down for a solid 5 seconds to turn it off. However, the reason for the 5th star is the durability. I've smacked this thing against the wall and dropped it on hardwood floors MULTIPLE times and it is completely fine. The blade has some minor scuffs but are easily cleaned off. Any one of those drops would be enough to break my a Force FX, no doubt. You could probably find a more detailed, slightly higher quality saber on the market, but you'll pay 3-5 times as much. For the price, this is an awesome and durable savor approved by this lifelong Star Wars aficionado!

The best saber you can get, for a great price!

What can I say other than WOW? Well, it is absolutely gorgeous, well made, very sturdy in it's construction, very very awesome. Have been in a few saber fights already and it's held up great. Btw, it does come from China but the quality is SUPERB so if you want a great saber but you can't afford to spend 600+ dollars on it, then this is for you!

Great product, great customer service.

I received the item and the package was damaged. I contacted customer service and received a replacement immediately! Thank you for the GREAT customer service. The saber hilt is lightweight, and the grip material comes separate so you can choose whether to use it or not. The switch on the hilt is in a good location, and you don't hit it by accident when spinning or sparring. The sound card is really nice and the choice of multiple colors a cool feature. Some of the colors are better than the other, but still a great feature. The blade is durable, however, it is not strong enough for tournament sparring. I would suggest, upgrading to the next model, or buying a different blade. The blade is great for casual play.

Very solid, amazing for the price

I purchased this item after spending a huge amount of time looking at similar items across the internet. I stumbled across this almost just as I was going to buy something else. I took a flyer on this product and it has been extremely worth it. The quality is excellent all around, shipping was fast and on time, and I absolutely love my saber. The effects are very nice, it is well designed, and it has features that you would have to pay 300-500 dollars for typically. I got this for Halloween, but also because I wanted a stunt-capable, nice looking, color changeable blade. I got everything I wanted. I would buy again, especially if more styles or customization become available. I have only one minor complaint, and it is that the settings are a bit dense to navigate. The product info page directions don't seem to be 100% accurate to my saber, and no instructions were given when it was shipped to me. This is just inconviennant though, it took me about 15 minutes of playing around with the settings and button before I figured most of it out.

Excellent item! Must have for any Cos player!

So... I study fencing and found out that a bunch of my partners in class are cos players. I have been invited to join the brigade and was in search of a realistic light saber prop for my costume. I was grieving over the prices on saber forge and ultrasabers, including the extra 50.00 fee, and very large hassle for the pink color I wanted for my costume, when I stumbled upon THIS lil gem. So a few pay checks later, and I went ahead and ordered this. It arrived yesterday and I have to say I was COMPLETELY unprepared for just how awesome this lil thing was going to be. First off.. it comes in a very nice package that is well padded and protected and shipped beautifully. The package included, the charger, the directions, the tools and the saber its self. The blade is made out of a wonderfully strong poly carbonate and has a coating on the inside to make the light broad cast, meaning it comes from a single source rather than a LED strip. The blade has three settings, and you can also set it to different intensities. There is also a function that makes the saber flash when you hit something with it. The saber features three loudness settings, and three different versions of the saber sounds, 1)classic ANH/rebels sound, 2) Bad hair's ( kylo ren) / Ezra bridger's saber sound from TFA/rebels and 3) luke's green saber sound from ROTJ. The blade features a WIDE array of colors that are very easy to change, there are 12 in all, including my beloved pink in two shades, hot and pale, for you girly girls like me. The hilt is beautifully crafted from aluminum and has ABOSOLUTELY NO kibble what so ever. Smooth and easy to fit in large dude hands or lil girly hands like mine. The saber its self is almost as beautifully balanced as one of my fencing foils and is lighter than even one of them! I have no camera at the moment or i would happily dis play both vids and photos of this and hope to do so at some point very soon. So again if you are looking for a great saber for your self that wont cost an arm and a leg for custom colors I truly suggest that you try this one. Its well worth your money!

Great for light painting!

I was hesitant to pay right at $200 what would appear to be nothing more than a toy but the more I thought about it I was convinced it was well worth the money so I gave in and bought it. For one, I'm into light painting and I wanted a good light wand. Sure, you can make your own and I did but it just doesn't compare. You can't hit it against something and get the effect this light saber makes nor change colors on demand and you can tell from the pics that it's bright enough for light painting. I don't know about the cheaper model that's less powerful, I had doubts about it being bright enough for light painting so I just said F it and bought this to be sure. It looks good, sounds great and feels nice, I can grab it with both hands. My best friend freaked out when he saw it, he said it would be great for a Darth Vader costume. Best freakin' toy you'll ever have!

Comparable to custom sabers, at less than half the cost!

I bought this as a gift for my friend, after reviewing a number of other sabers. I hopefully chose this one because of everything it offered for the price. The other sabers, for the same options, all seemed to be upward of $400. So, when the options to price point was a great ratio, I was somewhat concerned about the overall value and quality, but all the reviews seemed to tell me it would be fine... and it was! The hilt of the saber was very well made. It has a good weight in the hand and is very solid. The blade was simple to attach with the set screw, and assembled, the saber felt very good. The blade will definitely work for light sparring, though, full on battle would probably be problematic after a time. Now, what set this apart from others and matched it to the $400+ range, were the options. It comes fully loaded with the ability to easily cycle through a number of colors, has swing and clash sounds, as well as a continuous sound/light that is reminiscent of a saber duel as they grind together. It also comes with a charger that plugs directly into it, without having to take batteries out. All in all, I am very happy with the purchase and my friend loved it! If you're shopping for sabers and have looked through the custom saber sites, finding even the buy now, pre-made sabers having a higher entry point, don't look at the price on these and think there is a hidden disappointment or lack of quality. There is not. It's just a well made product at a great price point, apparently from a company that's not trying to gouge its customers or make profit on the heels of Lucas.
