Great bike.
Great bike. All reviews about weight and breaks complains ate misleading. Breaks needs to be adjusted. Weight is reasonable for the recommended age. Even on an adult bike, fitting is necessary. Pedal are plastic and might break over time as mentioned in the reviews. However, the quality of the bike is excellent.

We searched everywhere for a “REAL” BMX bike that was pink.
Recently my (almost) 8 year old daughter has been getting into BMX riding at the skate park. She had a 16” bmx hunk of junk from Toys’R’Us, so we knew it was time to upgrade. She wanted to keep the flashy pink styles most little girls like, but wanted a true style BMX for the park. This task seemed almost impossible. SIZE: A lot of the other bikes are more professional style/size and were double the price. We really did our research because it’s not only the tire size that matters but the top tube length as well. She’s pretty tall at 4’4, but my husbands 20.75 top tube bike was just too much of a stretch for her. This bike came as a perfect fit for her with 20” tires and a 18.5” top tube length and she has have plenty of room to grow. SIMILAR BIKES: Our search narrowed us down between this bike and the Mongoose Legion L40 (199.99 USD) or Mongoose Legion L80 (219.99 USD) both were more of an adult bike we thought she could grow into, but I’m so glad we we went with this one. BIKE ITSELF: Honestly it’s not 100% pro BMX bike (Cranks aren’t the greatest, no gyro, but nothing major missing for an 8 year old) we did some tweaking (removed front brake, reflectors, etc) and it will suit her for the next few years until she’s ready for the responsibility of a nicer bike. This bike is also WAY lighter than her old 16” bike and easier for her to maneuver in and out of the house. The paint on this bike is absolutely incredible, the photos of it show a regular pink bike but it’s way more of a neon pink with a gorgeous subtle metal flake in it. The decals are tasteful and the pops of white on the bars and frame really make this one stand out. My daughter is so excited to show off her new bike at the skate park! We had this bike put together in 30 minutes or less, and it was very easy to do. It came in a large box and really just needed the bars, seat, pedals, and front tire put on. If you’re on the fence about this one, go for it. You can’t beat the quality and style of his bike for the price.

Perfect
My daughter got the pink bike. It's very nice and looks cute. She wanted a bike with no rear brakes. Only drawback is there is no kickstand but that isn't listed in the description. Overall a wonderful product.

Great bike, cost a little more than you'll find ...
Great bike, cost a little more than you'll find in department stores, but it's a lot more bike. This bike has no foot brakes, so the rider will have to learn to use the hand brake. I purchased tektro calipers and front brake handles to install so the bike will have a front brake also, but it's not necessary because once adjusted the single rear brake works fine and is plenty strong. A note about the brake handle and little hands.. Squeeze the handle and use a n allen wrench to screw the little bolt sticking out the side of the handle, in. This makes the reach to grab the handle less. You may have to give relieve some tension on the brake cable after doing this by using the screw adjusters at the handle or at the back of the bike. The bike goes together quickly and easily. Now if you want to adjust it properly as far as the bearings, bottom bracket, headset, brake, etc, then I suggest googling Park Tools and using their tutorials, or if you have a friend into cycling have them look at it, or it having a bike shop adjust it for you. You can simply assemble it and ride it, but getting everything adjusted properly will make it last longer and ride easier. Perfect bike for kids who've outgrown the 16" bikes but are too small to enjoy riding a 20" bike.

Great Buy!!!
Assembly was simple. After unboxing, the bike was basically in (3) pieces including “preassembled frame, front forks, rear wheel, and brake”. The only things needed to assemble is the handlebars, peddles, and front wheel. Simple! This bike does not have coaster brakes. The only braking mechanism is the hand brake for the rear wheel. Adjustments: For better hand reach, and so my kid can reach the brake handle better, I slid the handbrake handle away from the hand grip about 1” and this brought the lever in closer, and I also adjusted the brake lever set screw which brought the brake handle in even tighter to the handle bar. Tiny kid tiny hands, need to be able to stop.

Birthday bike
Great bike for a starter. Nice looking, well made, reasonably easy to put together. Good quality. My grandson loves it, so that's pretty much the bottom line.

Good bike for kids.
My kid loves it. Pretty easy to assemble - most of it was done before it got to me. Well built bike. I think I would have liked a kickstand.

Awesome!
My 6 yo son rides this all day, everyday. The front tire likes to shift off center to handlebars but I think that’s bc of the style of bike it is. It is heavy enough to give him good balance but light enough for him to easily accelerate through grass and dirt.

Awesome bike. Great Transition Bike
I was trying to find a bike to transition our son off of his Strider, but didn’t want one with a pedal coaster brake (wanted a freewheel) as I think they are pointless as every adult BMX or MTB will have a freewheel rear hub...plus I wanted him to learn how to use a handbrake anyways. This bike is an incredible value at $149 compared to cheaper big box store junk12-16” bikes at $80-$150. The tires are nice and wide (almost between a regular tire and fat tire bike) should help with learning balance. Short of having a 3 piece crank this is essentially the little kid version of the higher end full size Mongoose Legion bikes. Very happy to find this (in my mind) steal of a deal as other bikes from SE, Hoffman, Haro, etc. cost twice as much and some still don’t have as much to offer as this. After seeing the quality of this bike it actually makes me want to get the Mongoose Legion L100 full size for myself.
