Good quality

The mats are good quality. Unfortunately I am disappointed that I bought 2 sets to connect together when blocking large afghans and I was unable to connect them. The two sets do not line up and interlock with one another.

Perfect for crochet/knitting blocking

These are sturdy blocking mats, perfect for blocking fiber arts projects. They fit together nicely (and all the lines line up between mats) and lay flat, even on carpet. I ordered two of these for my crochet and knitting items. These work perfectly for blocking them.

Thick pads that fit together securely

These mats are perfect for blocking a very long, asymmetrical scarf. I like that they can be arranged to work with the dimensions of the scarf. On the plus side, they are very thick and dense so they hold the blocking pins well. And the grid lines will be useful when blocking other projects. I would recommend that the small box of free pearl-head pins be taped closed. Mine opened during shipping and I had to carefully retrieve all the pins before I could start using the pads.

Fantastic, far better than my other blocking boards

I knit a lot of lace and blocking is mandatory. I have a large folding blocking board but I find the connecting boards with grids more versatile and useful. These are the best I have tried. The grid is clear, the squares fit together well *and* these boards are thicker than most. I like that the pins won’t go through and the boards are substantial enough to hold their shape when carried or placed to dry. Very pleased with these, also included blocking pins.

Great for blocking with reusable storage bag

Finally got to use these and I definitely recommend them. They’re a neutral color (not gaudy crayola colors), they have a grid pattern that helps line up a project for straight edges, and they come in a zippered case that is perfect for storing them. They don’t take up a lot of space or end up all over the place thanks to that bag. Definitely a great product for blocking/yarn/fiber arts use.

Great product!

Love these mats, I can put them together for big projects or just use one at a time for single squares. The material is forgiving of the pin holes and they are overall just good quality. Price is very reasonable so you don’t break the bank. Easy to use, put together and store away. They come in convenient plastic packs with handles. This keeps them clean and easy to carry. Great product.

Using it right now

I've been working on a fancy crochet blanket to give as a gift so I got this set of blocking squares. I've got several pieces pinned to squares right now and they are working out great. There are lines printed on each block to help line up the edges so they are straight, which is a huge help to me as I tend to get things cockeyed. The squares seem well made and snap together securely--I even moved a large piece made up of 4 blocks from the set and they stayed locked together while I shifted it from one table to another. I feel pretty secure, therefore, about how well they will hold up, and they are nice and thick so Idon't worry about jabbing the pins into a table. They came in a plastic carrying case with a handle. The case is light and easy to carry, but I am a little wary that the case may not last a really long time. But I've had it for a while now and it's still working, so I may be worried over nothing. Anyway, the squares themselves are well made and work very well, so I'm really happy with them.
