Best cheap lights

I got these because i'm poor. They got me down to iso 200 1/60 and f/4 in a pitch black room. They are cheap cheap cheap lights so don't expect much but if you are very careful with them they will be good. The softboxes are great, I had ordered a 50 dollar lightin kit from limo studio with the umbrellas for 50 bucks and they didn't do anything. I was at iso 640 at best with those, in a lit room! the 35 dollars is a bit more considering it like 65% more to jump from 50 to 85 but it was worth it for the image quality. Don't buy these expecting something professional and easy to use. The lights will fall down if you're not careful! Move slowly and maybe get some sandbags. IMO These are the best cheap lights you can get if you're on a budget. The next level lights are 200 dollars. They might have better stands and be brighter but they cost twice as much.

Best Beginner's Aid!

Used it for a "Mugshot Slideshow" I did for a project and plan to use it for many more! I read reviews of the bulbs coming in broken but luckily, I was not one of the unfortunate ones. Everything was intact. The items also came in without any instructions, however, it's probably the easiest thing to set up. Just use your common sense. I love this item, we'll see how long it lasts.

Just can't beat these for the price

These things are really great for the ~$70 they cost. I received 2 straight stands, 1 boom stand, 3 of the soft boxes, and 4 bulbs plus a bag to hold them all. Setup was easy and though the stands are very light weight and flimsy, they hold these soft boxes just fine. The straight stands don't really need any extra sand bags to hold them in place, but the boom stand should have one on the base. The boom itself is flimsy like the rest and even looks to bow a bit, but again for the price I wasn't expecting super heavy duty stands. It gets the job done and has the bags to put in a counter weight on the boom arm (no weight included, but get some sand from the local hardware store and put it in zip lock bags first before putting those bags into the nylon counter weight bags). My only real compliant is that the on/off switch for the soft boxes are up near the connection to the light by the soft box. So if you put these up high, you will have a hard time using them to turn these on and off. But you could just put them on a power strip and use that on/off to turn them all on and off at the same time (which is what I did). So doing that for a master switch is so convenient, I won't deduct a star for the individual power switches. Bulbs work great and all came in boxes with form fitting styrofoam around them so didn't fell like they were in danger of breaking or anything. The color is nice though my personal preference is to use a LED light with adjustable color range to introduce a little yellow light into the scene... but that's just me. The light boxes themselves were fairly easy to set up. The 'box' is sort of like a 4 arm umbrella and opens up as you maneuver a ring around where the light bulb will be screwed in (don't put the bulb in first). Once you get the hang of it on the first one, the other 2 are easy to set up. Diffuser fabric is just attached with velcro and can be left off if you like as well. Now I have them set up and never take them down, so not sure how they would hold up with constant putting up and taking down for a traveling rig. As I said they are rather flimsy, but for throwing nice light and really low price, I'm really happy with the purchase.

Great product for the money!

I ordered this kit in mid December because I wanted to start shooting indoor portraits. This kit is as advertised. Easy to set up and take down. Comes in a carry bag which makes it portable to take for location shooting. Great starter kit for the beginner photographer or anyone who needs great lighting for still images or video. Constant lighting worked great

These constant light softboxes worked for the purpose I purchased them for. The prive was excellent compared to others listed. The "umbrella" part of the softbox is lined in silver, thick material and will produce harsh light if that is what you are going for. The white translucent cover softens the light as expected without any major "hotspots". There was no light leakage from the softbox except out the front as there should be. The bulbs are on the "bright white" end of the spectrum so they will remove the yellow incandescent coloring depending on how far they are away from the subject.

I use this product religiously. for my Allmy youtube live streaming on my channel HSFL PARANORMAL I can say is wow! It made my live streaming so much better. I have really bad lighting in my home. This was the perfect solution. It was easy to set up. And it looks great in any room you Film in. Well made product!!! The million-dollar question what I recommend this to any of my followers or anybody else who is interested in YouTubing or any kind of streaming!!! The answer is 100% yes absolutely would.

Just what I was expecting

This light kit was specifically what I was looking for. I'd used my brother's larger light kit with umbrellas, white, green, and black backdrops, but all I needed was the two lights. That's exactly what I got and it saved me almost $100. The order came on time as promised. It is easy to put up and tear down. Having the extra bulb is nice, though they are physically larger than I've used in the past which means they take up a little more space in the bag. The bag is no frills, but sufficient. I have no complaints about this product.
