Great keyboard for iPad Pro 12.9
Looks good with my iPad. It holds my iPad better for typing, reading, etc. than the Logitec keyboard case. I like the protection that Logitec keyboard case gives, but the Brydge keyboard is a more rigid support base for the iPad. Logitec connectivity and battery life is superior to Brydge. Logitec does not need an external power source to charge. This my 2nd Brydge keyboard. The first one's battery charging port broke after about 2 years use. So, I bought a new one of both to compare in my real life situation. I wish there was a way to combine the best attributes of Logitec and Brydge products.

Perfect for me
I’ve been using this Brydge keyboard for 12.9 iPad Pro for a few weeks now. I love it. It turns your ipad into a laptop, but it’s effortless to remove your ipad when you don’t want the keyboard. As you can see from my photos I would not recommend it for turning front to back on top of the keyboard since the hinges then block the ipad screen. However its so easy to just remove the ipad that function isn’t necessary to me, and I would rather have strong hinges. Ive owned Zagg keyboards in the past and the hinges always eventually went. That was at least many years ago and I believe not their most rugged models, so this isn’t a comment on Zagg, but the large strong looking hinges attracted me with this model. I cant yet rate hinge durability with the Brydge, but I’ll go ahead and gave it top stars on battery life based on their claim of 1 year for a charge. Assuming that is the case, that’s a big improvement in the industry over the 3 months most companies used to claim. I’ve also owned an inexpensive Fintie keyboard once....several years ago and the technology is always improving... but that keyboard lagged badly. Lagging is a deal breaker to me. I do not notice any lag at all with this Brydge keyboard. Phew. Typing is great, but I don’t think I’m not picky about that aspect of keyboards. Its’ a bit noisy to me after my quiet Apple cloth covered keyboard for iPad Pro, but that isn’t a deal breaker and in fact, normal I think from springiness of the keys? But that brings me to the why I ditched the Apple iPad Pro keyboard. I absolutely loved that keyboard, but after almost a year it started having intermittent problem with connecting to the ipad. Apparently lots of people have this problem with it, I did everything I could find online to try to correct that, including shutting down the ipad with keyboard off, various things in settings, etc. And yes I will probably call apple care and see what they can do, and exchange it with Apple, and maybe get some more months or a year out of the next one. Maybe it just requires a new IOS update. But over the year with that one I started really missing the backlight I had with the old Zagg keyboards. This backlit Brydge keyboard isn’t as feather weight as the apple, but it is light enough. I liked many things about the Apple keyboard, including the dark surface, the cloth feel of the keys and how it’s all one surface. But I am appreciating with this Brydge keyboard the backlit keys, and also the adjustable angles for viewing just like a laptop. And for you handy people out there who are wondering if the iPad Pro case from the apple store with pencil holder, for the earlier non-magnetic pencils, could be jury-rigged to go with this keyboard, the answer if your case is like mine, is yes! You can see that in some of the pictures I uploaded I used scissors and a razor blade to just cut out where the hinges go and i used a nail file to smooth some rough edges so they don’t catch on sweaters. I did a really rough job to say the least, and I wish I had the right dremel tool which would make a professional job of it easily, but actually I never notice it anymore and it works perfectly. In fact it gives a nice padding when I stand the ipad/keyboard closed against a wall so I included a photo.

The perfect keyboard for iPad Pro
I love almost everything about this keyboard - the full size backlit keys, the dedicated row of function keys, ease of use, looks, and performance are all stellar! I'm regretting all the time I spent with the Apple Smart Keyboard as I should have purchased this one to begin with. It's much more stable for lap typing, which is how I use it the majority of the time and it's much easier to open and close. I can type so much faster and absolutely love the function keys that are missing from the Apple keyboard. The hinges hold the iPad securely at any angle for comfortable typing. It's also really easy to remove if necessary. The only thing I wish it had is a dedicated function key for displaying the dock. It's difficult to swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access the dock due to the way it attaches to the iPad. There are shortcut keys to display the dock, but pressing all three keys is cumbersome (option+cmd+D) and defeats the convenience of the dock. There is a battery key that doesn't seem to do anything, so that could be replaced with a dock key. Other than that, I have no complaints about this keyboard and wish I had bought it a long time ago. Totally worth the price!

Best keyboard for iPad
The keys feel great. Best of all, you can use it on your lap! I find that the easel style ones don’t work well on lap. Two gripes are that you can’t fold it all the way back to use as a book - you must remove the keyboard... and it is as heavy as the iPad itself.... but if you need a keyboard, this is the best option.

WOW to say the least!!!!
Let’s begin with this, I’ve had this keyboard for 2 months and 11 days. I waited this long so I could actually write an honest review after using the keyboard heavily. I’ll make this as painless but honest as possible with out writing a book. 1. The package actually arrived 2 days early to my surprise. This product was packaged to the fullest to ensure it arrived with out damage. Kudos to you guys for that!! 2. After unpacking it was immediately put to use. This keyboard is “SOLID” to say the least. My new iPad slipped right into place while the iPad grippers ensure it does not come loose. The grippers are “adjustable” for tension according to the directions. I have not found it necessary to adjust them. 3. I charged the keyboard the day of arrival after playing with it . The charge took about 2 hrs to complete. I have used the keyboard for numerous things since it arrived and I have not charged it since!!!! 4. The screen moves to all necessary angles for viewing and sits in my lap without any problems. 5. As far as durability I gave the rating 4 stars since I haven’t dropped it. I can imagine my new iPad would break from a fall before the keyboard. The only thing I see wrong is the charging cable for the keyboard is 2 feet long at most and that sucks. I will over look the manufacturers short comings in that because this product is about as good as it gets!!!!!

Worth it.
Week1: Surprisingly worth it. for about $50 more than the majority of every other iPad keyboard on here it’s really kind of worth it. I hate the cover keyboards—I wanted something easily detachable, and complimentary to my iPad Pro’s natural look, and form. And this keyboard does all of those things. It holds a charge so far like no other and has turned my iPad into a laptop basically, maximizing my use of it completely. And when I need to draw, I just slide the IPad out form the Keyboarda, less than a couple seconds and I can use it free standing. I took a chance, and I think it really paid off. I love this keyboard.

Turns my iPad Pro into an iOS MacBook!
I love this keyboard. It attached firmly to my iPad Pro and pairs easily via Bluetooth. It almost makes the iPad look like a MacBook, but the clasps that hold the iPad in place are pretty obvious, and naturally the Apple logo on the iPad would be sideways. Still, the color matches very well for me and the backlit capability is great. It even had two brightness settings! The build quality is so-so. It feels about as sturdy as the iPad itself, which does not feel durable at all. But it isn’t supposed to be a case anyway. It’s a keyboard, and a nice one at that. Overall an amazing accessory to an iPad Pro that looks and feels almost like a part of it. I’m very impressed and I believe it is worth its cost.

Just what I needed
I killed an Apple keyboard and two Logitech keyboards. They all used the smart connector. Splashed a little water and the keyboards died. Went to a blue tooth keyboard and really like it, but it the stitching wore out. I really like the Brydge. I've had it almost a month. Seems very well made. I added ballistic glass to the front of the iPad and the clamps still fit well. It fits on my lap, and I can put the iPad at any angle. The keyboard feels great when typing. I really like the function key that takes you out of an app - I don't have to grab the home key.

Ideal accessory for iPad Pro!
I've had a number of Apple Macbook Pros, but all in all, I prefer my iPad Pro combined with this Brydge keyboard (since it is so easy to interface also with an iMac for heavy-duty work) over any of the laptops I've seen. Along with the Apple Pencil just about any task can be addressed effectively and conveniently. I will be amazed if Apple fails to acquire Brydge, but glad if they don't. Brydge has chic design well in hand.

Awesome 12.9 Brydge Keyboard, Should have purchased it before
This is a very high quality keyboard. The keys on the keyboard actually feels better to type on than my MBP. I like the fact the keys have a slight "grip feel" on the finger tips to keep the fingers positioned on the keys as you type. I purchased the Brydge keyboard and slimline cover at the same time. The combined items with the iPad when closed feels like I am carrying a 13" Mac laptop - which is a good thing. I also like the fact that the bottom of the keyboard has the four grip feet pads that prevents the keyboard from sliding on the surface while typing. The hinges allows for a full 180-degree opening so the iPad can lay perfectly flat on the table or desk so you can draw on the surface of the iPad with your iPad Pencil. Other reviewers mentioned having problems with the keyboard syncing when used in conjunction with the Brydge SLimLine Protective Case. I've used it extensively over the weekend on and off and I never experience any issues syncing. There is a slight delay when you open the unit from a closed position and start typing - (approximately 2-3 key strokes or 1-sec). This is not a problem for me. I do not experience a delay if the keyboard/iPad is open and goes to sleep. I would definitely buy this again and recommend it to anyone wanting to use their iPadPro as a laptop alternative.
