Good construction. Seems solid

Good construction. Seems solid. I took the other reviewers advice and bought the BCP base to anchor it down. I will say that the base is necessary and I wouldn't buy this without something to hold it down. I suppose you could use cinder blocks or sand bags, But the low form factor of the BCP base is nice and fits perfectly. The lights started right up and there's a little switch to turn them on and off. Very attractive addition to my patio

Well made

We bought the BCP base as well which is filled with water. Easy Assembly. Lights add charm but definitely not much light . We’ve had a few very windy storms roll in unexpectedly and it performed fine fully open. Although I try to put it down whenever I sense a storm. Very happy with it so far this summer.

Purchase BCP weighted base. Wonderful Umbrella

This umbrella looks great on my patio by the pool, solar led lights give it a nice festive look at night. Suprisingly bright enough, yet cozy. A lot of people are rating one star due to it not standing on its own. This is the case with any offset umbrella, you will need to purchase a weighted base. BCP makes one specifically for this umbrella and it works perfect filled with water or sand. Very easy to assemble, provides great shade and even stands up durable on windy days. *UPDATE* Its been nearly 4 months since I’ve purchased this umbrella and I will say it is as good as it was since the first day I purchased it. I also bought a cover for it on the days I don’t use it. For the people who say it’s not sturdy and blows over, they must be in serious winds, I live in Florida where there is a constant steady breeze and the umbrella hasn’t toppled once. For the price you pay, it’s a great deal.

Starry night umbrella

So pretty. I have bought the beige and tan umbrellas in the past. Decided to go with a bold color this time. I love my navy umbrella. It looks nice during the day and lovely at night with the lights. Reminds me of being under a starry sky

I really like this Umbrella

After 2 weeks usage, I really like this Umbrella! All of the LEDs work great and combine to cast a very nice, soft glow over the area: I would estimate about 4500k-5000k, so it has a slight blue tint. If you're anchoring it to a deck or patio with screws there's no need for the Base. Ours is just sitting on our patio so the base was necessary! It will topple over when extended... trust me lol. Once it's set up, it takes just a few seconds to deploy it or close it up. It's not exactly waterproof but it's not advertised to be. I might try a little waterproofing spray... eventually....

Great umbrella

It is very nice umbrella. I was concerned about the umbrella tipping over. It is very winding where I live and it did just fine. I recommend this umbrella. If I could afford it I would buy a couple more.

Worth the money

Very sturdy! The item didn’t arrive on the guaranteed delivery date, but I assume it was because of the shipping carrier used by the seller or Amazon. Very simple to assemble. Works very well! Umbrella is super heavy so I would recommend sand bags or the Gravipod at the base. The solar lights are a nice addition also.

Quality umbrella with nice lighting

Love the size and sturdiness. It's good in a light breeze but gusty winds will require it to be shut. Also, there is a little red on/off button on one of the umbrella posts... I didnt realize that at first and ran the battery out but I do like that feature. I bought the coordinating stand and it definitely needs it so would recommend buying it as well.

We just got our burgundy patio umbrella up on our patio this afternoon and the quality is really amazing. The color is so pretty and it only took about 15 minutes to put together from the box. I will say that once the umbrella is open its probably best to find a way to anchor the base. There are holes in the metal base to make it easy to do so or you could use something like a sand bag. My husband plans to secure it into our deck later this afternoon. We really couldn't be happier with the product and very much recommend it!

I love, love, love, love this umbrella !!!!! I cannot believe I was able to get such an awesome deal on this awesome umbrella from Amazon. Every time I look at it, I just smile imagining all the money I saved from buying this from Amazon as opposed to one of the big box stores that sell this umbrella for $200 and up. I believe the last one I saw on the cheap end was $290. This umbrella is made out of good thick sturdy material and it is very very heavy so you will need to either invest in a heavy weight in order to hold the umbrella upright or you could just get 4 bags of mulch and pile it on top like I did and it works fantastic. This umbrella is extremely large and covers a wide area. I have a large sectional on my deck and it provides shade for about 60% of the sofa. You should also make sure that you take the umbrella down in heavy winds because of its large size it does tend to sway.
