Nice set. Worked great! Made assembling some patio furniture possible, because doing by hand with the Allenkey that was sent with furniture was almost impossible! I’m going to use my cordless drill and these drill bits for any assembly project that uses a Allen key !

These bits are hard steel, blackened, easy to read numbers even for me (almost 60 years old). They're nice and long, and they are precisely engineered to fit. I used the 6mm bit in my drill in a vertical holder to install perfectly perpendicular furniture screws for a project. The bit worked perfectly without slipping rounding corners despite the high torque I employed.

I've been looking for a good set of metric hex drill bits that I can use with a hand held torque wrench for rifle scopes and mounts. These drill bits fit the bill perfectly. They are obviously of high quality steel and the long shank really helps get into tough areas that a hex key on a ring just cant get to. The drill bit set came in a nice small plastic case so it's easy to keep them organized. Even the Dewalt pack of SAE drill bits I bought just came in "bubble wrap" and cardboard and they just get separated and lost in the bottom of my tool case drawer. Probably one of the best features is that they are magnetic which is great when I'm working on a small scope screw and it drops - the magnetic bits keep it from falling on the ground and potentially becoming lost. I've been very pleased with this set and would recommend it to anybody looking for a good quality metric hex drill bit set at a pretty reasonable price point. Oddly, it was very easy to find SAE bit sets but it was kind of difficult to find a metric set. With all the IKEA type furniture out there that needs assembly you would think metric sets would be more widely available than they are. These kind of bits are perfect for that sort of thing - cut your assembly time literally in half or better.

This allen drill set has turned out to be really useful. I work as an apprentice electrician and the screw heads can vary, with allen head types included in that mix. If you are doing a whole panel or what have you, this can save you a lot of time by inserting one of the bits in an impact drill and going at it. As a side note, make sure that the screw is set in right and screwed in by hand a little bit before drilling, as to prevent accidental stripping.

I put together a lot of furniture at work that require allen wrenches. A lot of the time the holes aren't properly made and putting the stuff together by hand becomes a huge pain. These and a cordless drill have made my life a lot easier! Have also used to assemble IKEA furniture at home. Great value!

Have you ever bought self-assemble box-store furniture, like a microwave cart, or a small bookcase that include a little Allen-wrench in the box? If so, BUY THESE! Don't bust your knuckles, promises, or good name because you have 1/64th of a circles area to tighten one of those allen head screws on your new IKEA furniture thing. Buy these, grab your drill, and rejoice. Seriously. Hallelujah and that kind of stuff.

I disassemble my patio table to store and reassemble every fall and spring. I jury rig extensions and socket combinations with all the pieces not snapping together and falling apart. I put off getting this tool too long. The tool is the perfect length, not too short or long. Thumbs up.

I have been looking for the hex head set for a drill for a while. My son and I work on remote control cars so I bought both the standard and metric set. They arrived quickly and are just as described. One of the snaps on the case for each set that holds them was broken, but a quick email to the seller and i had a new case sent. Great service!

I purchased a a set of these bits before reading the critical reviews. I received my set this past weekend and was impressed. All bits were powder coated. Each bit had its size embossed on it. Each bit fit my 3 different brands of impact drivers. Worth the money.

I use a lot of hex/Allen socket head machine screws. I also have a lot of different bit sets which include hex/Allen bits. Unfortunately, all of those bits are all the short stubby screwdriver type bits. The DeWalt cordless impact driver and gyroscopic screwdrivers I have only use quick release bits. So, I was using adapters on many of my devices in order to use the short bits in my various sets. That means, I always have to find two things when I need to tighten hex/Allen screws - the bit and the adapter. This became annoying, so I started looking for a quick release set of hex/Allen bits for both metric and SAE sizes. Out of all the sets I looked at, this set had the best set of features. Advantages: 1. Both metric and SAE sets are available. I purchased and recommend both sets. 2. They are made with S2 steel, which is a big improvement over the "mystery metal" my other bits used. 3. Each set includes more sizes than other hex/Allen bit sets I saw. If you purchase both sets, that's 20 bits. 4. The size of each bit is clearly marked on the side of the bit in high contrast lettering. 5. Each set includes a reasonably durable plastic case for storage. They aren't made of that hard plastic used by most companies which will break apart easily if dropped. 6. Each set has a hanging tab on the top edge of the storage case, making these sets very pegboard-friendly. 7. These sets are a high-value purchase. You get a wide range of excellent bits at a reasonable price. 8. The bits are magnetized. Normally, for hex driver bits the adapter which holds the bits is magnetized. Magnetizing the bits helps them to hold ferrous screws more securely. Drawbacks: 1. The bits are magnetized. Yes, this was also listed as an advantage. The fact that they are magnetized is also a small drawback because care must be taken when using them on devices which are sensitive to magnetic fields. In practice, the magnetic field isn't very strong or particularly large, so the bits likely won't hurt anything. Still, the magnetic properties should be kept in mind. 2. If you use them in multiple places like I do (garage, trunk of vehicle, hobby room, kitchen tool drawer, etc.,) these are so useful that you will end up wanting to buy additional sets. This can be a disadvantage because buying the same thing multiple times can often lead to our spouses requiring extensive explanations. 3. To nitpick a bit, it would be nice if the case for each set was clearly labeled as "Metric" and "SAE" to aid us in grabbing the correct set off the pegboard. This is truly nitpicking because a Sharpie or label maker can fix the issue in mere seconds. I seriously had to think a little to come up with any disadvantages for this bit set. I like them that much. Summary: These bit sets are an excellent value and very useful addition to the toolbox of anyone who uses hex/Allen socket screws a lot in their projects. Highly recommended.
