I was not looking for a professional engraver, nothing fancy, just needed somthing affordable that i can engrave a personal gift with myself. So this one is perfect for what I need it for. Simple stuff. Using this one you need a really steady hand and fulcrum, otherwise really easy to screw up your surface. I practiced on old metal jewelry before I used it. I got what I was looking for.

Love this little engraver! Only thing is, is that it don't come with Duracell batteries like in the picture. So your batteries they send with this will go dead quick. Mine came with Greenmax batteries. Never heard of them before. Anyways, I've been going to town on engraving things !! 😁

I think this was a valuable purchase. I like the additional bits it came with. Also comes with a tool to loosen the set screw that holds the bit. I’m using the tool to engrave my name in my tools at work. So far the bit has written on my flashlight and my leatherman with no problem. Strange thing. My package came with a gift of earrings. Not sure if it was a mix up at the amazon warehouse or the seller sent earrings. Not that a gift is a bad thing. Thought I’d share.

This worked perfectly! As suggested by the other reviews, I practiced on the back of campaign buttons. I had every confidence that I could achieve a good result after only three tries. I went from manuscript print to script for the engraving of 30 wedding bell favors (there was a small bordered area around the middle of the bell that was perfect for the inscription). If you can write, or print with a slow, steady hand, then you can use this engraver pen.

The pen engraver is what I needed for engraving all my personal things. Thank you for a great product

Bought this to engrave some stainless steel keychains I bought as gifts for my son's teachers. Works great and is easy to use. I would recommend practicing on something you don't care about first so you can get a feel for it because it does spin so it tries to move in the direction it is spinning. The keychains turned out great and I am sure it will get a lot more use! I've also tested it out on glass and it worked great on that too!

For light engraving, this is the tool for you. It comes with a total of 6 bits and the Allen wrench to install them. Easy to use in small, tight spaces and it works on tool steels, aluminum and of course plastics. If you need deep engraving, this might not be for you, but as you can see in the pic, I marked my side cutters, and my vape, now I just need better penmanship. This won’t engrave very deep on harder steels but that wasn’t important to me and for the price, this does exactly what I wanted.

Great tool to have around. Only down side (kinda), wish you didn't have to keep holding down the power button. Wish it would just stay on until you click it again to turn off. Otherwise, it worked for what I needed. Engraving a lock for the wife. :) Comes with lots of extra size tips also. Any job it's covered!

This product arrived quickly and in packaging that is cleverly designed to hold all parts in separate compartments and serve as a permanent storage container. I could see everything at a glance: tools, bits etc. The device works very well for broad engraving tho I wouldn't use it for fine work. Nice for household use. Glad I bought it.

I misplaced our older engraver and bought this one. Much better size for my wife's smaller hands and hence somewhat more ergonomical. Works fine on our objects needing ID marks etc. Plenty of replacement tips available through various sources and we use alkaline batteries. IMHO, this a good value for the money for the purposes we bought it for.
