Terrific as a cake topper!

Our daughter loves Studio Ghibli. For her graduation from college we tried to find someone to bake a special cake for her - with a Studio Ghibli theme. No luck. We had our local bakery try their best on a round cake by asking them to do a “screen print” of a picture and that was a disaster. On a last minute whim we had ordered this. My husband, upon picking up the cake, decided to place this on top as a center piece then added fresh flowers around the item covering the top of the cake and the horrible graphic the bakery had provided. Best of all - this bank works like a charm!!!! There are so many uses for this bank that if you love the movie “Spirited Away” you will want this bank. Use it for a cake topper and be prepared to become famous to all your party guests lol!

I'm an idiot (UPDATE)

NEW REVIEW: The product works as advertised but i had issues with the movement due to old batteries, when i used new batteries it worked like a charm. The old 1 star review is completely my fault and have changed it to 5 stars, my apologies to the seller which responded really fast and was extremely courteous despite this being my fault. PREVIOUS REVIEW: The sculpt is good and the paint is nice but the automated mechanic of putting the coins into its mouth doesnt work - you get the sound but not the movement. SAD because it seems like i got sold a pre-owned item marked as new.

Was a great gift!

So, I bought this as a gift for my sister. She absolutely loved it. The Noface figure is perfect just like the movie. It plays a cute little tune when he ‘eats’ the coins & then burps afterwards. Simply adorable. The ONLY complaint I have is that it didn’t come with batteries & I wish I had known that because I would have bought some to include in her gift bag. (It takes AA batteries so you all know) other than that it was absolutely worth it.

It does everything I expected it to - altogether about 8 or 12 inches tall so it sits on my bookshelf, and it's so cute! I even love the little sound it makes when it eats the coin. Great gift!

Noisy

This was a Christmas present to me but we all share this account so I’m just going to go ahead and review it. The picture is accurate. It works well but if you’re using USD coins, one penny is not heavy enough so either add two more or tap the dish. I did not know it made sound, so when I tried it out we were all shook. It plays this super dramatic music and it’s so funny and then when it’s done eating the coin it burps, which was my mom’s favorite part. It’s so cute and funny I highly recommend it to any ghibli fan

Big Hit!

I bought this for my husband's birthday, he opened it today and loved it. My mother-in-law also thought it was adorable. We could not stop feeding it coins. Just an FYI when you put a coin in it plays a lot of music and many sound effects. Might not be good for the office.
