Easy to use, Easy to clean, compact at a fair price
I received an Aquarium for a gift and finally set it up I quickly realized I needed a way to clean up the left over food and fish poo so looked at quite a few devices and this one had the best reviews and didnt cost a fortune! First time I used it I was so happy I bought it! It works great! Cleans everything off the bottom without sucking up the gravel. It picks up the gravel sucks up the junk and drops the gravel back to the bottom! The filter is easy to remove and wash out, U can aslo turn the filter around and put a hose on it to use it as a Siphone when u have to do a water change! I have a 20 Gallon tank and this cleaner does a great job cleaning all of it! Its a must have if ur not using an Undergravel Filter! Since ive started using it my tank has become cyrstal clear!

Great fish tank cleaning tool.
I ordered this product by mistake but since the company that made it suggested I give it a try anyway and that they send me the other one that I wanted at no additional cost, I decided to go ahead and give it a try. I am so glad I did. It was amazingly easy to completely clean my worst job- cleaning my turtle tank. I began with the siphon function and it worked really well. This unit had a lot of suction power since it was powered by electricity instead of a battery. It was so powerful it even sucked up some of my large gravel, but no problem here; they have made it were you simply unscrew the cover over the impellar and empty out the gravel...then back to work seconds later. This is where most other siphons fail ( ...and believe me I know I've ruined many of them this way). After doing a complete water change I then used the cleaning function to spot clean some of the debris I missed. This was such an easy tool to use, it made a job I usually dread doing into a fun and enjoyable one. It was such a pleasure doing business with this company too... great customer service.

Wow!
Awesome product. I had another aquarium vacuum before that was battery powered and differently designed. This unit blows that unit away. First, the design. The construction is sturdy and is in compartmentalized sections that can be screwed on to each other. Well thought out. If you have a 20 gallon tank or smaller, don’t use the included extender attachment. Second, I like that this item is corded. I believe that gives it more power to thoroughly suck all of the aquarium gravel and waste efficiently and fast. In fact, this unit cleared the floor of my 20 gallon aquarium in less than five minutes. Fact that I will never have to change out batteries is an added bonus. Third, the price. It was cheaper than the other vacuum I had which performed worse then this unit. One drawback, however. The filter canister area, which is the last part before the water is ejected back into that aquarium, gets clogged rather easy depending on the cleanliness of your tank. I have to screw it off and wash the filter out a few times. The product came with several filters, but I intend to keep reusing each filter until they wear completely out. I couldn’t bring myself to deduct a star for something that cleans very thoroughly. I’m happy to have to rinse the filter out a few times each cleaning. No biggie. Overall, great product and a solid buy.

Great for sand aquarium
I have been looking for a great electric cleaner forever!!! So far extremely happy with the product! I have used it with the hose and without. Both worked great. I have a sand aquarium and rate of suction was perfect.

Highly recomended
Amazing little siphon !!!! Worked great for a quick clean in my 30 gallon salt water aquarium with sea gravel. This unit had no trouble silhoning and cleaning the debris. This will not rep!ace water changes but great to keep my fish breathing easier ! Info in package says not recomended for gravel smaller than 2 mm. My gravel is more like sand and had no trouble at all. Very easy clean up! Great price! Great value! Havent used it for water changes, so can not speak as to its usefulness.

Whare have you been all my life.
I started messing around with aquariums back in the early 90s. Back then, the only option I found for cleaning your gravel was the old tube at the end of a siphon. It was messy, hard to use and a real pain in the butt. It made me want to put off cleaning the tank longer than I should have. As my life went on I got o0ut of the "aquarium biz" and my tank laid dormant in my basement for 17 years. Just last year we were able to move to a bigger house and I decided to set up my tank again. Low and behold, the WONDERS of technology that happened while I was gone. I mean, LED lights with night and day setting, automatic feeders you can run from your smart phone and THIS little beauty. I LOVE this thing. IT's SO easy to use. You just fit the nozzle on the end, plug it in with its nice 6 ft cord and go to town. It has a nice little mesh enclosure that catches all of the junk. When you're done, you just remove the mesh compartment and rinse it off with water. You don't have to run a hose, though you can if you want to with the convenient one provided for you. This you can use for water changes. But so far I've just used it to change the gravel. Even the fish were fascinated as I sucked up all of their leavings. I would highly recommend this item. I have a 60 gallon tank and it cleaned it in no time. They even have a battery operated version if you don't want to use a cord. If you have a fish tank that is currently green and full of sludge, BUY THIS NOW!!!

OMG! This thing really WORKS
Wanted a tool to clean my gravel on my fish tank, and previously was using a show vac, given this a hassle because you have to empty the water somewhere, and on larger tanks mean several trips to and from the tank. I happened upon this product while watching a video on youtube about vacuuming gravel etc. I purchased this product and immediately i could see the detritus in the mesh bag. I am now feel excited that I can use this to further maintain my tank, and it also can siphon the water out if needed.....

It works just as it should - Corded Electric
Originally I had bought the cordless version, it failed to charge after just a couple times. The NICREW had refunded me and pointed me towards the corded version of their product. While cordless would have been nice in some sense, the corded version works perfectly. I don't have to worry about battery running out and I have a plug in near the tank for lights and filters anyway. The $25-$30 you pay is a lot better than the $60 I had seen at a pet store for essentially the same product.

Very innovative and makes it easy to maintain
Normally I would wait a few months to write a review because I want to see if the product has lasted after extended use. I didn't want to wait for this because it's been amazing so far. I've only had it a little over a month now and have used it tremendously since that time because of a recent aquarium upgrade. I went from a 29 gallon to a 60 gallon and used this extensively during the change over. The built in filter system is absolutely perfect and it has a nice flow rate with the capability of increasing or decreasing the flow by simply twisting the blue ring. So far it has done everything I needed it to with ZERO issues or leaks. I would highly recommend purchasing this if you are a fish tank hobbyist.

Works Exactly As Intended
If a picture is worth a thousand words, the two attached should show how well this device works. This was from one week's worth of sludge from 20 small fish in a 20 gallon tank. I got the electric model because there seemed to be a higher level of satisfaction with it rather than the battery operated model. The gravel in my tank is not large, medium I guess, but it doesn't get sucked up high enough to damage the impeller. This cleaner is built to extremely tight tolerances, and here's a tip, pull the filters out far enough to rinse them under a faucet but don't take them out entirely, they're very difficult to fit back in, although the instructions show otherwise. Again, really tight tolerances. I haven't used the pump feature for a water change so I cannot comment on its efficacy. But overall, this seems like a very fine device.
