Easy on, easy off when motion is detected
These small, little puck lights do a great job of lighting up an otherwise dark area. I have them placed in areas such as closets and underneath sink bases that wouldn't ordinarily have any other means of illumination. Certainly beats always needing a flashlight or something to see. The lights themselves are quite bright for their size. Includes 3M mounting strips for easy adhesion. As a bonus, I discovered they also contain a magnet inside the housing, which is great if the location you need has a metal backing. Utilizes AAA battery, but considering they are not actually "on" unless motion is detected, the life expectancy ought to be quite good. Packaging was well-done without a lot of excess material like some products. Overall, a great addition to any household.

Great Little Lights!
I love these little lights! Our kitchen and utility room are very dark at night and these lights worked out great. Rather than turning on the regular lights these come on with just the right amount of light to see what you're doing without blinding you. Installation was super easy - I used the built-in magnets to stick them to the corner of the ceiling-mounted air vents in those rooms. The third one lives on the ceiling of one of my gun safes. The interior of the safe is black and so are most of my guns. No more having to get a flashlight to find the gun that i want to use.

Wonderful Lights ! THEY DO NEED DARK TO WORK!!
I was so excited to try these I had forgotten I read they work in near dark. That said if you install them during the daylight you won’t see them turn on - I am glad of this feature ! I put one on the top of my upstairs staircase which gets a good deal of daylight and didn’t need a light turning on and off throughout the day. Needed a light that will illuminate the staircase in early morning as I walk down and not miss a step. Tried on first morning installed and works perfectly!! One light for the whole staircase area. Can sense me before I get down the first step! Timer is about 20 seconds on. Well constructed. Comes with a foam double sided 3m sticker for mounting each; there is also a small magnet on the reverse of each if you have a metal surface (or some metal adhesive plates) GREAT VALUE !! - Small investment in the safety of you and your loved ones !!

PERFECT!!! {UPDATED}
I love these lights! I've only had them for 3 days and already they've paid for themselves. As far as pros and cons? I haven't found any cons yet so let me give you the pros. 1) There is a small magnet on the center back that is wonderful if you use it on an appliance like a refrigerator or on a stove vent. 2) It also comes with a double-sided tape foam circle that fits perfectly on the underside over the magnet. I didn't need the inserted magnet and used the circle of tape instead. I didn't think it would hold well even though the lights themselves are very lightweight. To my surprise, I attached the circle, stuck it to the underside of my cupboards for a little light on the countertop, and reconsidered the location. When I went back an hour later to move it, it was holding much better than I realized and was glad I'd put it there in the first place. 3) Although we live in an older home that's been remodeled and updated, certain areas in our home could still use more outlets. Another reason I love these lights is they don't need to be plugged in. Each light takes 3AAA batteries which ordinarily would bother me since batteries are expensive. However, I use the rechargeable batteries AND the lights actually help keep their use to a minimum because ................ 4) ............ the lights only turn on when there is motion nearby and its dark enough. About 15 seconds after the movement stops, the lights turn off automatically. For example, speaking about the light under my cupboard, if I'm mixing a cake and I'm within 5 or 6 feet of the light, it will pick up my motion and turn on. As long as I'm working there the light will stay on. If I cross the room or leave for more than 15 seconds, the light turns off until I return. I love not having to flip a switch on or off with doughy or greasy hands. 5) The amount of light these give off is a plus for me, too. I put one near the coffee pot that goes on as soon as I enter the kitchen. Everyone knows how horrible it is to have a bright light hit your eyes when you first get up. These give off a soft, warm light so I can walk into a dark kitchen and still see everything I need to without going blind! I also don't need to be jolted awake by accidentally sticking my fingernail in the nearby outlet when trying to find the light switch. 6) Did I mention how quiet these are? I don't hear so much as a little click. They just 'light up'. 7) I have to reiterate how economical these are. They only turn on at night or when its dark enough and they turn off automatically. You don't even need to keep night lights on! 8) I actually bought a set of 3 for our stairway. When I received them I immediately opened the box to check for defects or damage and to try them out before adding them to the stairs. Consequently, I realized there were all kinds of places I could use them. As I said I put one under the upper cabinets to light up the kitchen countertop which works GREAT! There's also one in the bathroom and I put one above the dog dishes so I don't need to keep a light on in that room any longer. When the dogs get near it, it lights their food and water perfectly. 9) Now that I've used the original 3 lights for other locations in our house, I'm back to order a bunch more including 3 lights for the stairs .... again .... since I used them elsewhere. 10) One last point - I've also realized what a HUGE advantage these are for safety, not just for us who live here, but even more so for guests who don't know the lay of the house very well. These little lights mark where stairs start and end, where doorways are, where light switches, doors, and windows are, even how the furniture is arranged to avoid stubbed toes or falls. Think of how convenient it is have one or more in the bedroom to automatically turn off once you're in bed. They can even be added to the bottom of the bed to turn on when needed or in the baby's room to see while changing diapers without the glaring light of a lamp. Then too, intruders don't expect to be seen but will be when the lights turn on. Clearly I truly do love these lights. In fact, I'd love to buy them by the dozen so we can use them in the camper or in the shed! Heck, I can even put them in my china cabinet! The price is fantastic, too. A great buy for a sweet product! UPDATE!!! UPDATE!!! Well, my GREAT enthusiasm for these lights has flickered since a week has now passed. Initially, I was the biggest fan of these lights. Unfortunately, it looks like I let that enthusiastic excitement cloud my judgment. First, the same night I wrote the first review is when the lights started dimming. I walked into the kitchen and both of the lights I have in there came on immediately, but during the couple of minutes I got a glass of milk and snack they dimmed enough I actually had to look under the upper cabinets to see if they were even on. They were. So I changed the batteries thinking that was the problem, and it was. I was pleased to see both lights came back on as bright as when I put them up earlier. Its a shame my review can't end right there. A few hours later, I walked in and both lights were dark. Again I hoped it was the batteries so I changed them out again. New batteries added and brighter light again ............ temporarily. Ok, so I decided the only option left was to buy new batteries instead of the ones that were a few weeks old. I've not gotten them yet but now I need fewer batteries anyway. Yesterday, one of the lights that I didn't want to move because it was stuck so firmly in place, actually let go of the cabinet and hit the countertop on its way onto the floor. I'm so totally disappointed in this product. Having these little lights were great in the beginning and were exactly what I needed. Now I can't recommend them to anyone even with all the reasons that I got so excited about! On second thought, rather than continue to change out multiple batteries and hope they'll work later, I'll just return these and look for other lights instead. I'm still soooooo disappointed.

Hands free light where I need it!
I ordered these because I have a switch in my basement that is not easy to flip when my hands are full. I have ordered other Vont products before, and have had great experiences with them, so I figured I would give these a try to solve my problem. I received them and liked that they took standard AAA batteries that were easy to install. The three pack was also nice, as I could light an area as I walked, so I wasn't walking in the dark. I stuck these to my overhead ductwork with the integral magnet, and they stuck very nicely. As I come down the stairway and turn the corner, the lights sense my movement and illuminate the area I am in. No more tripping over stuff in the dark! I used two for this purpose, and I placed the other on the bottom in a safe that I access regularly. Now when I open the safe door, the light turns on automatically and lights the interior very nicely. These are easy to install, bright, and the motion sensor feature works great. Highly recommended!

Clever Motion AND Light Sensor Puck Lights
So I really like these motion sensor lights because they're just a little smarter than others that I've seen. Not only do they detect motion, but they also detect light. It makes sense that they would only light up in low light or complete dark situations. Because of this, here are a few uses I've come up with - In various places in my shed where my main lights just don't quite illuminate. This includes my tool cart in the chest style drawers - Exterior doors of the house mounted on the wall/door jamb next to the locks. This really helps me find the right key and find the key hole at night. - In my closet. I don't often turn on the bedroom light in the morning, as not to disturb my wife, so this makes it a LOT easier to find my things without creating a lot of light noise. I'm sure you'll find plenty of uses for these but I can't recommend them enough. My only note? These are not going to illuminate a large area light a lantern would. These are small puck style lights that are mountable with the included 3M 9448A Double Coated Tissue Tape discs. These would work well for utility under cabinet lights, for instance.

Durable - read on and I will explain
Why would this item need to be durable? First off I have several of these types of lights and they have arrived in varying degrees of pieces. Vont lights arrived in nice bubble wrap in a box and no searching the package for missing pieces, lens, tape, battery clips. etc. Vont seems to have figured out that a bit more durability makes the difference. The previous lights, not all, but many have a small bridge of metal completing the circuit when installing batteries. This is where the old cheapo lights would fail. I would have to break out the solder gun and solder copper in the place of the failing metal of the other lights. The first thing I did when I got the Vont lights was to check out this area and it seems much stronger then previous lights. The previous lights had 4.7 of thousands of reviews but I suspect not many left a review after a few battery changes where the lights just fell apart in your hand. I have the Vont lights installed along my stairway risers and in a walk in closet. They have been bumped by a dog, vacuum, many kids and are holding up well. The two sided tape is quality and no issues. I do however prefer command tape to protect the finish behind the lights in the stairway and the ability to move the light once installed is nice using 3m command tape. So far the Vont lights appear to be better then others but I will update if anything changes.

Simple, Bright, and Easy to Use.
The packaging of the Vont Motion Sensor Light is excellent. Inside the sturdy outer box, each light (3 total) is enclosed in its own bubble wrap bag, and also included are 3 double sided cushion by 3M so you can stick it almost anywhere. First things first, unless i didn't a copy of the directions in the box or on the outside of the box, I wouldn't have know that it needed 3 AAA batteries, as well as how to insert the battery. I didn't know how it worked until i was randomly twisting the light and back cover came off, (whoa!). Once the 3 AAA batteries are inserted, the lights immediately light up. Caught me by surprise, but the lights are really bright! They are made up of 6 led lights. To test it, i turned off all the lights in my room, and once the lights went out after about 30 seconds, when i waved my hands and immediately, the lights came back on. Simple as that, lights go off, make a sudden move, and then lights come back on. Each light is simple, light, but not cheap looking. It looks pretty well made. Once i find a place to put these lights, I will post a follow up!

Compact and reliable lights for dark cabinets
These are high quality puck lights that I used to light up a closet and my under-sink cabinets. They won't turn on unless they're in very low light, so they might not be ideal in other applications. However, they turn off quickly after the door is closed again, which should extend battery life. I used the magnets to attach them to plumbing fixtures under the sink, and an over-door closet hook, so I wouldn't risk damaging the paint with adhesive foam. I know the seller says it won't damage surfaces, but my lease prohibits using double stick foam, so I won't. I didn't expect them to be shipped with AAA batteries, but I didn't have any difficulty replacing the backs.
