I love these duffles. They're extremely light weight, super sturdy, and well designed in that they have handles in all the right spots. Last year, I bought two of the 100L model and was impressed- so I specifically looked for GONEX when I needed to purchase more duffles. I specifically needed the largest possible duffles allowed on my international flight back home after Christmas. The 150L Gonex fit the airline size criteria so I ordered them. I could not be happier. I live in a rural area of Greece and travel to The US frequently, where I buy lots of consumer products. I ALWAYS end up needing a last minute duffle (you'd think that I'd learn). Gonex is reliable regarding delivery and regarding the quality and design of their product. I would highly recommend.

The Gonex 150L extra large duffel bag is a great duffel bag. Its best feature is that it folds up onto a very compact size, roughly 12 inches on a side, with two zipped pockets accessible, when not in use. It is made out of nylon with a waterproof coating. The main bag has a zipper with two zipper pulls for access. Inside the main bag is a small zipped bag next to the main zipper. One end of the duffel has a U shaped zipper with a loose nylon divider, suitable for a pair of shoes. The other end a pocket with a zipper. Both ends have a 2 inch wide nylon handle. One side two zippered pockets. The other side has one small zippered pocket. This pocket is not attached to the main bag, except at the ends. The middle of the pocket's material is not attached to the bag, except for a vertical piece of Velcro. I don't know the purpose of this floating pocket and Velcro. The duffel has two handles that can be attached to each other for carrying. There is also an adjustable shoulder strap that can be removed. The shoulder strap has a thin padded area. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to fold and zip up the bag for storage, but it is a straightforward process.

So about a year ago I bought the 100L version to help me haul our snowboard/ski gear to the mountains. I loved the size and quality but with 4 of us I needed more space. This year I got the 150L before our ski trip and am as impressed as can be. We stuffed both sacks SO FULL we couldn't even zip them up at one point, and when we did zip them completely full I felt confident in the zippers, unlike many other products I've tried over the years. All the materials are really high quality, look great, and get the job done. We had a lot of weight in the bigger one and when I was hauling it to the truck it felt very study. I like the side handle on this newer one as well. Highly recommended!

I have bought a few different lightweight Gonex bags over the last few years. Gonex has always shipped things really fast. Even with just standard shipping I've always received my order well before the expected delivery date. This particular bag is similar to many of their other lightweight duffels. It zips up into a self contained square (approx. 15" x 13" x 3") which makes it great to carry along just in case or to throw in a suitcase as an extra bag, should you pick things up while traveling. The one downside to this bag is that it measures approximately 35 x 15 x 14. That means it's around 64 total dimensional inches making it just slightly too large for checked baggage (which is usually 62"). If you don't pack it completely full I can't imagine it will ever be a problem, but you should at least know that there's always the chance. Overall a great bag.

This is my third Gonex duffle bag. I also own two 80L Gonex duffle bags which I’ve been very happy with. I use the smaller 80L bags to store my cold weather hunting apparel and my bulky ski gear. I bought the 150L bag to store a lot of my camping equipment. I was able to fit 2 tents, 2 sleeping bags, 2 sleeping mats, a camp pillow and a large tarp with room to spare. This bag is rated to 100 lb, but due to the size I wouldn’t recommend maxing this bag out. I attached images of the 80L bag in green versus the 150L bag in blue so you can see the size difference. PROS: -Durable material and good stitching (appears to be the same 210D nylon used on the 80L bags) -Zippers are sturdy and don’t snag easily -Large shoe compartment. I love being able to keep my gear separate from my footwear, especially when my hunting boots are dirty. -Max load capacity 100 lb (more than you probably need) -Lightweight -Compact design when folded and not in use -Extra side handles CONS: -The product listing shows how to fold it back into itself but it would be nice if they included a paper instruction or even designed a tag for the bag interior with the instructions

I received my Gonex Foldable Duffle bag and immediately stuffed it with a combination of clothes, packing cubes and other duffels to consolidate these items in a single place for a three-day trip. This allowed one trip to the car vs several had I been required to take each individually. It performed this flawlessly even though the combination of items made the bag quite heavy. The straps surround the bag so even given the weight, it carried well and offers a couple of straps or carry options depending on your preference. Both methods I used, carry strap and carrying handles performed as I’d hoped. It wasn’t until after the trip I was able to look more closely at the features of the pack. The duffle is quite large allowing not only clothes for several days, but also additional items like toiletries or makeup or activity specific packs. It features a number of pockets and stow places both zipper able and open for items that you’d like to keep separate for quick and easy access. Another welcome feature is a large pocket that allows you to separate items from the rest of the bag such as dirty/used clothes, bathing suits or towels, shoes or any items that you’d like to keep segregated from the main bag. If not used, it allows that space within the bag. When not in use, the bag folds within itself and a zipper compresses the duffle into an easily carried package about the size of a small pillow if you’d like to use it for such. This also keeps a few zippered pockets available for immediately accessible papers. The bag is well designed, well made and attractively priced. I recommend them to anyone that travels frequently as well as anyone that would use the bag just for storage.

First of all I bought this duffel and a Gonex backpack because I liked my Gonex bike helmet so much. I have owned the bike helmet for over a year now and am still impressed by its quality and price. When I got the duffel I was surprised by its compactness when it arrived. After I unzipped the zipper (which has an extension so that it allows the bag to open without interference) I inspected all the stitching. All the seams, attachments and zippers are sewn with precision. There were no frayed material threads poking out of the bound seams. Usually I find a few threads that have not been cut or that are peeking our from the binding that I have to melt with a lighter to keep them from fraying. Unpacked this thing is huge - not big, but huge - check out the picture with my shoes (size 11) by the duffel. Since this bag is so large I question the statement that you can put it onto a suitcase handle. I think that it is so large that it would be unwieldy if you do that. The only thing that I wish it had is instead of a straight zipper to open the main compartment is a u-shaped zipper to better see and access the contents. Overall I think that if I wanted a bag this large I would buy it again. If I had it to do it again I would buy the next size smaller.

I moved across country and filled this to the very brim with clothes and blankets, to the point I had to sit on it to get the zipper closed. Zipper and seams didn’t have any issue with that. It was nearly too heavy and large for me to carry fully maxed out, but what do you expect from a 150L bag. Straps don’t have much padding and aren’t very comfortable for heavy loads for long distances but work fine. The bag itself was very lightweight yet sturdy which is important. Good buy. I’m 5’10” for size reference in photo.

Likes: This bag is huge, almost too big for my purposes: 150 liters; 100 might have been enough. Still, I love it. I ride bikes and needed a bag to carry all my gear. My solution was to put everything inside my sleeping bag and thus render the bag more cushioned. Worked perfectly on my flight from Buenos Aires to Los Angeles. Best of all this bag folds into a tiny package and spent 5 weeks in a motorcycle pannier, where it took very little space. Perfect for my needs. Dislikes: I wonder how long the material will last. Because it's light and folds into an ultra compact pack, one of these days one of the airlines will probably rip it. At the decent price, it won't be the end of the world.
