LockLab Approved (Sigle Pistol Safe)
::: This review is for the Single Pistol Safe ::: I just got a handgun and I don't know much about safes, so I figured I google around and read what people that actually know tell me what to get. I went into a locksmiths review site and saw a recommendation for this safe so I figured I'll get it. It was a good call, its sturdy, looks modern, it gives easy and quick access and it got tamper protections (also against kids and the like) I really like it. I was able to fit my 5 1/4 inch barrel Canik TP9SFX along with 3, 9mm (50 count) ammo boxes it's pretty spacy With some practice you can open the safe in 2 seconds, its great honestly, you can use the lock combination and use up to a 6 digit code if you want. You get auditory and visual feedback (lights and beeps) when entering the code and you can also deactivate the beeps if you want (I did) It was very easy to set up (you do need 4 AA batteries). One thing I do need to mention, the spring that opens the box is very strong so when it opens the lid flies of, if its empty it might jump a little in your table, so pay attention to that If you want to check the video of a real locksmith reviewing this search youtube for: Review: Amazon Basics Quick Access Safe (PS75EF) By the User: Bosnianbill (lockLab) Or got to LockLabs page and search for that title You will enjoy the safe :)

Great for price
So far I really like it. For the price point and functionality, it is great. I am sure if I spent twice as much I could find better. I have two. One for my wife and one for me. Instructions are easy to follow and I like it. Instructors state insert 4 double A batteries. Slide open the door inside the safe, pull out the holder for the batteries. Then with the top open, there is a little button in there, hold it down till it flashes once after holding for a few seconds. Put in your code. Hit the button again (just press it and let go) and done. Top opens with force more than I assumed but isn't bad. Just surprising and it shuts with a little bit of resistance but it latches every time. I have hit it a couple of times for fun, it does not fly open on me. If I were rich i would beat on it with more objects but...... my kids can't get in it.

Really good multi purpose safe
I am very happy with this safe and think it is easy to setup, designed to last, and nicely padded to prevent damage for thing I may store in there. It has a good owners manual and I found that you can place it under the shelf inside the safe for future reference. The shelf has metal lips under it which seem to fit the manual like it was designed to hide here. There is also a downloadable PDF if you forget how to program it in the future. The only thing to consider is the mounting screws. They are not very good quality and strip easily even with pilot holes. I just grabbed 4 different ones from my toolbox and now have it secure. I am very happy with this kit and can recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quick access safe.

Great lockbox for your firearm
This is a very well made lock box for my firearm. The construction is solid and the locking mechanism seems to be well thought out. Opening the lockbox with the key and adding batteries / setting the unlock code was easy. Tge keypad is easy to key and n by touch if I n the dark. The fact that the lid is spring loaded means you have quick access to your firearm. All in all this is a great lockbox and entirely exceeeds my expectations.

Excellent value!
This is a well reviewed safe, and seems to be an excellent value. I am very happy with this purchase, as it allows me to keep a loaded handgun on my nightstand, while knowing it’s safe from my kids natural curiosity. This safe can fit my Ruger EC9S with either 7 round or extended 9 round mag. Along with some extras. Glad I “pulled the trigger” on this one! ******************************* I rely heavily on reviews when I make purchases so I put some time into reviewing everything I buy on Amazon for personal or business use so I can help other people considering that item. I am ready for the Zombie Apocalypse
My wife and I are both "gun people" and feel safe with a loaded weapon somewhere close at hand. But we have grankids so we stashed our armory, installed trigger locks and hid them well. It doesn't really do the trick when the Covid-19 mutants are banging down your door looking for toilet paper. Anyways, I went searching for a gun safe that was sturdy, easy to use, quick draw, easy to hide and not too expensive. This is the box we decided upon. They fixed the latch in this version so that complaint goes away. There's no light but who cares? You can silent the beeps but maybe I won't; dunno yet. Installation was a little tricky; so here are my hints. Once you figure out where you want it, break a sharpened #2 pencil in half and mark the four holes, front and back. Drill some pilot holes and screw in the back 2 screws. Set the safe, and push it back like it says in the directions. I used an offset ratchet screwdriver to tighten all four screws. It was a little tedious but well worth it. If you drive the front screws in at an angle its not going to be a smooth installation with the screws a little wonky. And its nice that the back screws are tight. It took about 10 minutes and that's counting 2 trips downstairs to the garage to get the right screwdriver. Nice safe. Works great.

it is what I am looking for
my son growth up and need a safe to keep my firearms. consider sturdy, safe, price and easy to access, I am very satisfy with this purchase. I brought another brand at 1st n then found a video from youtube that using a paper clip can open it in 15 seconds! I decided to try this one. Compare with the previous one, except the stupid design defect, the Amazonbasic is more heavier, I feel its a lot more sturdier. 2nd, the lid able to raise up itself to 90 degree when open. So you can get the firearm fast and easy when in emergency. 3rd, operating is easy. The only thing which made it imperfect to me was, when it open, its very fast and powerful, which is good for emergency access. However, it may hit you fingers a little bit when you finish key in the last number. Besides, the key pad hit your fingers may accidently hit the number pad, and you don't know it has start the coding process. Therefore, when you close the safe and open it again by key in the number, it said failed. means the code is not reset after you close the safe.

Pistol vault works as it should at a fair price.
I'm happy with the pistol vault so far. Works as it should. I have a much more expensive one of another brand in my bedroom, but needed one for the living room and decided to try this one because of the price. It is used primarily to keep a gun handy and still have safely away from grandkids and others. I'm sure it would be easy to access with a screwdriver, the same could be said about any of these regardless of how expensive. It opens every time and looks good. I knew if I had a problem with it, Amazon would gladly exchange it so I decided to try because of price. I've probably helped sell a few to friends and family who asked where to purchase one.

Excellent safe for the $$$
I bought this with the purpose of keeping my carry pistol (Kimber micro) and a full frame pistol (G17) secured. Mainly a place where i can get/put away my carry gun quickly and easily when i leave/get home without having to open one of my large gun safes. This thing is absolutely perfect for this purpose in my opinion. It is stout and bolted down nicely. This thing springs open with some force! Its nice being able to turn the audible beeps off on the buttons, however in the middle of the night in a silent house the actuator for the lock is pretty noisy when it is opened. Other than that i feel this is the best bang for the buck pistol safe. Is it fire rated? No. Is it gonna stop a burglar with tools from stealing your guns? Probably not! Will it keep your curious children from having access to your firearms without you knowing? Absolutely! (Which is why i bought it)

great small safe
Got gun? Got medications needing protecting? Passport? This little giant will do the job as long as it's well attached to something solid and heavy. Setting my button code was simple and the keys provided ensure access if you forget it. Materials and construction are strong and durable. One thing to be aware of......the top swings up with considerable spring force and will smack anything close. I am well pleased with this small safe. Its built well and is simple in design and easy to use.
