Ordered this for something else but changed my mind--this ROCKS for jewelry! I already had the 32-compartment plastic liners you see in the photo from a store supply warehouse which is good because I like "everything in it's place." After reading reviews, I was nervous about drawers but they work fine. This is a link to plastic liners like mine except black. Recommended for storing colored pencils.

I love this box for storing my colored pencils! It holds my complete 120 count Faber Castell Polychromos AND my 36 count Faber Castell water color pencils. You can easily completely remove the drawers/trays while using your art supplies or just leave them inside the cabinet for easy access; which is what I do. The doors were a little tight upon receipt but the more you open & close them, the easier it gets to open & close them. This item is normally marketed as a pastel box but they work perfectly for colored pencils! I originally kept my pencils in cups but found that storing them like that eventually wears the name & numbers off the pencils (which can make things difficult when you're trying to follow along with a tutorial). I definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants to take care of their art supplies. Plus this box is also rather attractive!

This is exactly what it looks like and serves its purpose well. I do wish the drawers were just a hair deeper - maybe 3 of them that are a little deeper instead of the 4 it has. I can only fit one layer of pens/pencils/etc. per drawer, but then again that's not so bad because then I don't have to dig around to see what's there. I may take some time to stain this at some point since it is raw wood.

They must have improved the 4-drawer in the past year based on some of the older posts. I got one and 2 days later ordered a second! I find the drawers do not stick if you don't pull them out cock-eyed :) hehe I'm going to attempt to pull dividers out but they are in place pretty securely (I want to put long paint brushes in bottom drawer). I like the wood bare, it's sanded nicely and the dovetail joints in the back are nice and square and secure. I'm glad to have found a perfect box for my zillion pencils and charcoal and etc. etc. I just have small palette knives and they fit. The price is affordable and I do recommend it. I hope the quality remains!

Love these drawers

Love these drawers. I ordered the four drawer set to store my 150+ set of Prismacolor Premiere colored pencils. As my collection of colored pencils is growing, I plan to buy more of these drawers. I like that they offer a selection of one through four drawers. They are stackable, which is excellent, due to the fact that my studio space is quite small. I am pleased at how well made this set of drawers are. I would recommend these drawer sets to all who are looking for good storage for their pencils, pens, markers or many other various items needing storage. Excellent value for the price, perfect for my Prismacolor Pencils!

This box is so nice! and a good price too. I got it to hold my new set of 150 Prismacolor Colored Pencils that was a birthday present in October. I love to draw my own pictures, I am not into the coloring craze of adult coloring books. These drawers allow me to organise my pencils by color families and also have enough room to store my pencil holders, erasers and sharpeners. It does come unstained. My hubby is a woodworker and stained it a beautiful light pine color for me, and also varnished it to protect it.

Better build quality than expected

Better build quality than expected. Very happy to be able to house my 150 count of Prismacolor pencils and then some. Drawers slide out easily and do not pull lower drawers with them. The only Con I have is that the dividers aren't easily removed/reconfigured. Otherwise, awesome product!

These are well-constructs and the drawers glide easily. There was plenty of room to store pencils and markers, although a bulky marker might be too wide. I will order another set as well. A perfect storage tool for my pencils. Great storage for my supplies.

Perfectly fine for the job

I really hesitated over purchasing this or any other box even though I needed it to store pastels and pencils. Given the price, I went ahead. It arrived today and is already full. Will buy some more. Like that they can stack. Fits nicely on a desk or shelf. Perfect size for pastels and also long enough for pencils. I love that the drawers come out completely- it makes it easy for me to get to what I’m working with at the time.
