So, I purchased this thing and immediately was very disappointed. I don’t know if it was my car or the product itself, but either way I didn’t like it. I reached out to Anker, and they were extremely helpful and kind. They gave me pointers, which sadly did not work. So they gave me a full refund, which they totally didn’t have to do. PLUS, they even gave me a lightning cable as an apology gift. Now that right there is customer service. I own many Anker products, and I will continue to do so in the future. Love this company!

Super cool product. Very solid quality. Make my dummy car smart again. This little thing really changed my life. Thank you so much for making it!

The audio clarity is excellent over the aux connection. Pair this with Anker's legendary quality for their mobile power products and you get a fantastic device! I tried the FM capability briefly, and while decent, there was still some static in the music. Of course, this will depend on your vehicle's antenna setup so your mileage will vary. Some Nitpicks: I can't configure the device to automatically start playing music when a bluetooth device is connected. The media buttons are stiff and hard to press. I wish I could disable the FM transmitter function when using the aux output so the people around me don't pick up my embarrassingly bad music. I wish the symbols on the media buttons were raised and back-lit to make them easier to find.

I bought a pickup truck for work which unfortunately didn't have either an auxiliary port or any type of Bluetooth connectivity. I originally decided that I would just swap out the radio, but my vehicle has an unfortunately shaped opening in the dash for the radio that I really didn't feel like fooling with. Then this product dances across my Amazon screen taunting me, and I read the reviews talkin about the amazing sound quality. I've been using FM transmitters for years in many different vehicles, and the sound quality is rarely even as good as the radio, and it's usually pretty abysmal. But with so many good reviews, I decided to take a shot. I couldn't be happier. Not only is the sound quality everything the other reviewers made it out to be, it's actually better than the local radio stations. I got it plugged in and hooked up in just a few minutes, and tested it out with a random song on my phone. For the first time, I felt like my sound system was finally performing at its best. It sounded better than the CD player, better than the radio. There was no white noise, no interference, and the song was clear as a bell. When you add to the sound quality the fact that it's nice and low profile sitting in your DC Outlet, and that it works as a maximum power USB charger, I have to say that this little doodad is a fantastic purchase. If you have any need for an FM transmitter whatsoever, get this one. It's absolutely fantastic, and a pair of 2.4 charging slots alone makes it worth the price.

I finally found a Bluetooth transmitter that works and pairs fast and provides good sound quality. I have used several bluetooth transmitters in the past and none of them lasted more than a year. Most of them were cheaply made and would constantly switch to mandarin. Anker provides very good instructions and packaging. The transmitter seems wide but sits well in my Honda Accord's 12V outlet. I actually prefer this small sized transmitter as there are less chances of accidentally breaking it. Pros a. Small size - This is a huge plus!, my last FM transmitter was long and you could twist it to face in any direction. While this seemed useful initially landed up breaking it due to wear. b. Red LED display - I like the red led display. It is clear bright and easily visible in sunlight. c. Buttons feel sturdy and provide decent feedback. It locks the tuned frequency and accidentally pressing the >> or << does nothing. d. Very less distortion - At loud volume you do feel the audio quality deteriorate but that is expected as FM is never going to be as good as other media types. Cons. a. Product registration and warranty information is not very clear. Anker could have provided a QR code to register the product. b. Depending on your vehicle, the small size may make it difficult to read the number on the transmitter. This was not a problem on the Honda Accord but I would suggest checking the placement of your 12V outlet.

I received and began using this Anker product about a week ago, and I am impressed as usual! Pros: • The Bluetooth/FM signal is STRONG and good quality. The charger is originally set to broadcast to 91.5, which already has a strong radio signal in my area, but anker don't care. As soon as I plug this gadget in, the station is flawlessly silent. When I hit play my music sounds amazing. • The connection stays! I can leave my car and go shopping was beyond the bluetooth limits, but it reconnects automatically when I return. Simple but convenient. • The interface is super easy. I really like the "<<" and ">>" buttons which allow me to skip songs. With my old bluetooth car gadget I had to change it manually on my phone which is dangerous while driving!! • You can turn it on and off. A simple thing, but the signal transmission can be turned off when not needed. The charging feature does continue to work though. • Charging is very fast with my iphone 6. I paired it with one of Anker's lighting cables. Even when my phone is just about dead, a short car ride will bring it up to a very decent and impressive battery level • Fantastic customer service. I haven't had any issues with this product, but in the past, I got a charger that didn't charge correctly. I contacted Anker about it and they promptly sent me not only a new charger but a better charger! Because of this, I will always be a big fan of this company. • The guy's voice that tells you when you are connected is dorky and cute. Heheh. Cons: • The microphone isn't the best. When I talked to my mom over the phone using it she didn't seem to mind, but talking to my husband he said I sounded like I was underwater. To be honest I really didn't expect to be amazed by this feature because a microphone so far from the sound source will always struggle. Still a neat feature to have, and it keeps my hands free while driving. Go ahead and buy yourself this Roav charger/FM transmitter! :) You won't be disappointed. It does its job beyond expectations. PS: Anker if you ever get spotify compatible with your Alexa charger, let me know. I would buy it in a heartbeat! :)

Very easy to use and pair. Clear signal and automatically pairs to my wife’s phone every time she starts her car. Use radio-selector.com or similar website to find an open station in your local area and set that as your default station. The only downside to that is if I am driving her car, we have to manually disconnect hers before it will sync to my phone. It’s not that big of a deal, but thought I’d mention it

First things first - this device will not give you CD-perfect audio. You're going to get some fuzz here and there. Having said that, this is easily the easiest, smartest way I have seen yet for bridging the gap in technology for cars made before AUX inputs were commonplace and today's modern smartphones with or without headphone jacks. Anker very cleverly took the latest in FM transmitter technology, Bluetooth connectivity, and its awesome USB charging product, and built all three into a single unit that plugs directly into a 12v socket. It could not be easier. Plug it in. Power it on. Connect to your phone's Bluetooth (and they've made this so simple). That's maybe two minutes' worth of work there. The next part is a little trickier, because you have to find an empty frequency on your car's FM stereo (white noise, no station), and then tune the Roav SmartCharge to broadcast to that same frequency, but once you find a suitable one, you're done. Just add it as a radio preset and you can tune to it anytime you want to use the SmartCharge to play music. I also compared it to an older Bluetooth gateway that doesn't have the FM transmitter capability or the built-in USB ports, and the SmartCharge sounded better and didn't need the stereo to be cranked up as much as the older BT device. I like that there are two USB ports supplied so that you can charge two devices at once. I also like that it does have a headphone jack output so if your car has an AUX input jack, you can run a cord from the SmartCharge to the AUX jack, which means the SmartCharge is still going to act as a Bluetooth receiver, but it doesn't have to broadcast over FM. The SmartCharge is just a nifty device that covers a bunch of bases in terms of car charging and audio and it blows my mind that it's as inexpensively priced and nicely made as it is.

The unit is solidly built and nicely finished. It is very easy to set up and fairly intuitive to operate. The bluetooth functionality is good and pairing is very quick and happens automatically when I start the ignition. Access to the controls when USB cables are plugged in is a bit awkward because you need to reach under them to access the buttons. As far as features go, I really wish it had a dedicated button or button function for activating "voice control" for phone dialing or device control (via siri, etc.). I have pairs of bluetooth headphones with this feature and it is very handy if you want to leave your phone in your pocket. The FM transmission seems very solid and the reception seems strong even in an area with an extremely crowded FM spectrum. I have had several FM transmitters over the years and this one seems to be one of, if not the best in terms of producing a good signal. I initially gave the unit a lower rating in a previous version of this review because the output volume was extremely LOW and I literally had to have the volume on my phone AND the volume on my car radio MAXED out to get a decent amount of volume and it still wasn't loud enough to keep it from getting drowned out by road noise at times. I have heard that low output/volume is a common complaint with FM transmitters, but this seemed to be an extreme case. However, all "empty" FM frequencies are apparently not equal because when I tried a different frequency the volume level was noticeably louder. I still needed to crank up the volume on the radio more than I would if I were listening to a normal broadcast station, but it was definitely better than before. Overall, I'm very happy with this device.
